I am a fan of Coben’s novels. I love mysteries and his characters. I enjoyed this novel, but I felt there were too many twists, turns and characters. Myron Bolitar takes the lead, with his faithful partner, Win. For those who are new to the Bolitar novels, this might be confusing.

There seems to be a methodical serial killer with victims who have no apparent connection. Myron and Win become involved when their friend/nemesis Greg Downing is implicated in one of the murders. Thus begins a story of twisting motives and multiple suspects.

I enjoyed this book, but I am uncomfortable with it as a stand-alone. I look forward to reading more Coben novels.

Thank you Netgalley for this opportunity to read and review this novel.

Book Title: Think Twice
Series: Myron Bolitar #12
Author: Harlan Coben
Publisher: Grand Central Publishing
Genre: Mystery Thriller
Pub Date: May 14, 2024
My Rating: 5 Stars
Pages 352

I had no idea what this story was about only that Myron Bolitar is BACK!!
Yes! I am a Harlan Coben fan and Myron Bolitar is my favorite. I even read ALL the Mickey Bolitar stories! I certainly wasn’t a happy reader when Myron got married and parted ways with Harlan which was August 2016. – Yikes Nearly a decade ago!
I am a diehard Myron/Harlan fan and I have been hoping for come back. Aww delighted favorites~ Esperanza and Big Cyndi ( I still remember Big Chief Mama and Little Pocahontas –also remember that neither Cyndi nor Esperanza are Native American), parents n Al & Ellen Bolitar and of course Win - Windsor Horne Lockwood III are part of this story!
Oops almost forgot to mention, the story is great - Engaging as well as entertaining. Myron’s basketball nemesis Greg Downing “returns from the dead”. This has Myron and Win jetting around to Las Vegas, Montana etc. trying to find a serial killer.
What does ‘Joey the Toe’ have to do with this? (Joey seems like a character out of Stephanie Plum-Bounty Hunter series!)
I tore through the pages anxious to find out how it would play out.
WOW the ending was nothing I could ever come close to suspecting!!

Harlan Coben is without a doubt one of my “fav” authors. This is novel #34 for me and my twelfth Myron Bolitar – yep I have read all of them.
Coben is a great story teller and d doesn’t disappoint. This story has twists and turns I know to expect but sure don’t see coming!
Of course there is Coben’s signature wit –I have listened to several audiobooks and while I am reading I totally can hear the wit which always has me laughing out-loud!

Want to thank NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for May 14, 2023

After all these years you can’t ever go wrong with a Myron Bolitair! The gang and their antics are all together again. Great read from start to finish with quite an end! Bingeable for sure.

Myron Bolitar, my how we’ve missed you! This time around, Myron is drawn into rehashing the feud he’ thought was over three years previous when he delivered the eulogy at his old friend and nemeses, Greg Downing’s funeral. Apparently, Greg’s DNA was found at the murder scene and under the nails of a murder victim. Previous readers will remember that Myron is the biological father of Greg’s son and this fact features prominently throughout the book. Of course, Win is there to help Myron solve the.mysteries, sometimes going far beyond Myron’s comfort zone, but always with the interests of his best friend at heart. The federal agents investigating the most recent murder as well as one five years prior open up a whole slew of questions, Myron feels bound to answer. As always, Mr. Coben keeps us on the edge of our seats while making the reader , at times, laugh out loud. “Think Twice” was a joy to read and I would like to thank NetGalley and Hatchette Book Group for the opportunity to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

How can a dead man's DNA show up at a murder scene? Myron Bolitar spoke at his friend and former client Greg Downings funeral three years ago. Now him and his associate Win will dive into a dangerous business of finding out where all these clues will lead them. As usual Harlan Coben does not disappoint. A page turner with many twists you will surely enjoy.

Another satisfyingly twisting, turning and suspenseful Harlan Coben novel, Think Twice brings the heat to challenge our ideas on friendship, love and getting away with murder. It’s a classic Coben brain bender that keeps you guessing and entertains at a high level.

Former basketball star turned sports agent Myron Bolitar is approached by the FBI demanding to know where his friend, client and murder suspect Greg Downing is located. Only problem is that Greg died 3 years ago. But Myron starts to think, what if he isn’t really dead? Myron teams up with his friends and colleagues to investigate, bringing him from New York to Las Vegas to Montana and places in between. And what they uncover goes beyond the one murder, shining a light on a sinister plot that could be the work of a meticulous serial killer. Now the only question is can they identify the killer’s identity before more people – including Myron – end up dead?

Long time Coben fans will enjoy this story that features characters they know and love and how they are challenged in Think Twice. But if you aren’t familiar with these characters, don’t let that scare you away from picking up this book. It’s easy to catch up on the character’s histories and relationships within the plot of this story. And it’s a hell of a plot featuring someone back from the dead, multiple murders, innocents being framed, twisted personal relationships, private jets and more. All the while keeping you guessing on who’s the culprit, who knows what and how’s it going to end.

Another fantastic novel for the Coben catalog. It’s high on drama, hitting all the right notes to keep you in suspense before finishing with a bang.

When I finished the Myron Bolitar series a few years ago, I was honestly sad that it was over, like saying goodbye to a friend. So I can't even begin to explain my excitement when I saw the words Myron Bolitar in the description. I didn't even finish reading the synopsis, I saw those words and hit request faster than I could think. As always, Harlan Coben is on a roll as I have yet to read a novel of his that I didn't love. This was jam-packed with tons of action, mystery, suspense, laughter, and heartfelt emotion, leaving me teary-eyed towards the end. Each character is more entertaining and intriguing than the next, and the plot was perfect for this series and yet can still be read as a stand-alone. If you need a fast-paced mystery with characters you will fall in love with, this one is for you. Four and a half stars.

Thank you, Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing, for this ARC.

This is the second Harlan Coben book I've read featuring Win. Enjoyed this one as well! I thought I had figured it all out about half way through, but it was a fun read, so I didn't care that much. And then as it turns out I was actually wrong about how the book was going to end, so a fun read and enjoyable ending. Good combo!

My favorite Myron Bolitar book to date - but then, I say that each time a new one comes along.
Myron's former star client, Greg Downing is dead - he attended his funeral and even gave the eulogy.
So when Greg's fingerprints show up at a murder scene and the FBI visit Myron demanding answers, he goes on
a quest, with his faithful friend Win,, to find those answers.
What follows is a fabulous story of intrigue, blackmail, murder and in the middle of it all, a long overdue reckoning of sorts,
between Myron and his birth son Jeremy, with whom he has had a strained relationship since he saved his
son's life with a same blood type transplant. when he was just 13, Jeremy is grown now and in the military. Greg
Downing is his acknowledged father and this interlude makes it all real and a lot more humane in the midst of
death and torture.
Great defined characters with some dubious but enviable lifestyles and locales that light up the story.
It is another great, "can not put down" book by Coben and once again, he manages to clear the bases and send it
right over the fence,
My only negative: is that it ended much too soon.
I was so ready to keep reading and reading and......................................

I was so pleased to get early access to the latest in the Myron Bolitar series, "Think Twice", by Harlan Coben. While I enjoy all of his books, I am especially fond of this series,

The cast of characters felt familiar and comfortable albeit a little older and perhaps more mortal and fallible. The plot incorporated age-old themes including the complexity of family relationships, growing old, forgiveness, but also touched on contemporary themes in the form of seemingly incontrovertible DNA evidence at a murder scene.

The opening scenes immediately caught and held my attention, leaving me desperately needing to find out "who done it". As the story continued, it exposed the many layers and motivations of the characters and reminded us frequently along the way that things are not necessarily as they seem. Even science may in fact live in the gray area between black and white.

As with any long-running series the characters can take on a feeling of immortality. We expect that that Myron, Win, Esperanza, Big Cindy, etc. will be around for the next installment. Without any spoilers, I will say that this book shook up that feeling in a profound and honest way. I do hope that there will be more books in this series featuring Myron.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Three years ago, Myron Bolitar have a eulogy for his former client and 'frenemy' Greg Downing Now, federal agents claim that Greg is alive and wanted for a double homicide. Who does Myron call - Win of course and they set out to uncover the truth. But being book 12 in this series - Myron and Win are peas in a pod... some of my favorite characters in any series.. especially thriller. Yes, this can be read as a standalone, you get enough background on the characters and how they tie in, but they grow on the reader and you come to expect smart a$$ comments from Win and wait for a shot to be fired or Huey Lewis and the News to play in the background. I love these books, this series and Harlan Coben's other books. He is a go to auto buy author for me. The banter between Win and Myron never disappoints, you will want more for certain characters in the series and cheer them on. This page turner is a must read... Harlan Coben fans know and understand this when I say "articulate"

LOVED this book!!! Myron and Win are back again....once more trying to prove that you don't need a badge to solve a crime.

They're both a bit older, and the years have taken their toll, but their minds and instincts are as sharp as ever. When the FBI questions Myron about how his dead client's DNA is found at a murder scene, Myron feels compelled to investigate, with Win by his side. What they find is so much worse than they could ever have imagined....

I couldn't put this book down. It's filled with lots of twists and turns that kept me flipping pages just as quickly as possible. This is a must read for fans of the genre.

We’ve waited a long time for the return of Mickey Bolitar and crew. You can read this as a standalone but to have a full picture of the relationships and dynamics of the central characters start at the beginning. The novel will feel richer for it.
Myron gave the eulogy at the funeral of Greg Downing, friend and nemesis, so when the FBI knocks on his door and says Greg is wanted for a recent murder Myron and Win start to investigate. Sometimes slow paced, but the ending crescendos in a satisfying conclusion.

SYNOPSIS
- Sports agent Myron Bolitar gave a eulogy for his client, coach Greg Downing, three years ago. Now, federal agents claim that Greg is alive and wanted for a double homicide.
- Myron and his friend Win set out to uncover the truth, but secrets and a dangerous conspiracy put their lives at risk.

MY THOUGHTS
- I haven't read any other Myron Bolitar books in the 12-book series, so you can still enjoy it as a standalone read.
- I am slowly making my way through Coban’s repertoire. He’s written 30+ novels, and I’ve read 3 so far. I enjoy his writing style, and he clearly knows how to craft a thriller.
- Set mostly in NYC & mainly from Myron’s POV with some chapters from Killer’s POV & Win’s POV.
- Steady pacing.
- Satisfying ending.
- Well-plotted.
- Lots of names to keep straight. Bit confusing at first.
- Interesting twists and premise.

TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️solid thriller/suspense from Coban. Although 12th book of series, I read as standalone & enjoyed.

Thanks to Grand Central Publishing and Netgalley for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book will be published on May 14, 2024.

Think Twice, A Myron Bolitar Novel, by Harlan Coben

The Master of Plott Twists strikes again! As is the case with all of his books, every time you start to get a feel for where things are going, the rug is ripped from under you. Couple that with his distinct sense of humor and all of my favorite characters coming together and you have another 10 star novel.
I've got to say though, this is the first Harlan Coben book that actually horrified me. Not because it was bad. The book is fantastic. But unholy kittens, this one went to some pretty scary places. I know, there is always murder and mayhem in a Coben book. I expected that. But this one goes a bit further. I just hope no real life evil masterminds read this one or we're all in trouble!

I was going to leave a detailed review of this ludicrous novel, but reading the previous reviews has depressed me. Do people really think this feeble, badly written inanity is a good thriller? If the people demand pablum, they’ll get it, I suppose.

I always enjoy books written by this author. This book was a good time and very enjoyable read. I can’t wait to read more of their books

Harlan Coban has written another amazing thriller, this time bringing back sports agent Myron Bolitar and his friend Win. It was great to have Myron back after so long as he, Win, Esperanza, and Big Cindy work to solve a compelling mystery that hits so close to hold. Lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending.
