Myron Bolitar is back! While I did enjoy getting to know Win a bit, I was thrilled to see Myron return.
Fun story, classic Harlen suspense and mystery with a dozen little surprises at the end.
If you’re a fan of the Myron Bolitar series, you will be thrilled!

Think Twice by Harlan Coben is book 12 in the Myron Bolitar series. Unbeknownst to me, it is the latest a book in a very long series of books. But that wasn’t a problem, it held up well as a stand-alone. The problem now is that I enjoyed it so much, I now have to go back and purchase all the other 11 books in the series!!! It was a fast-paced murder mystery that had more twists and turns than a corkscrew. It kept me in suspense and guessing who the murderer was until the very end. Harlan has a style of writing that pulls you into the story and carries you away. The characters are relatable and the plot credible. I had a hard time putting this book down.

Thank you Netgalley and Grand Central publishing for the ARC!
This book had me hooked from the first page. However it fell flat to me at about 50% and found myself not picking it up as much. The last 10% of the book had me hooked and had plot twist I did not see coming.

Thanks to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Three years ago Myron gave the eulogy at the funeral of his client (and lifelong rival) Greg Downing. However evidence points that Greg is alive and may have committed a double murder.
Myron and Win get to work solving the mystery. Lots of old characters are back in Think Twice and it took me a minute to remember some details but I have forgotten a lot over the almost twenty years of reading Myron Bolitar books.
Lot's going on to keep the reader guessing.

Let me just reveal now that this will be a very biased review.
Think Twice is the 12th book in the Myron Bolitar series, which I happens to be my all time favorite series ever!!!
After Eight long years of waiting(please Harlan don’t make the big fans wait another eight years) we finally got another book in the series.
And when I seen I received a copy, I may have legit jumped for joy. So definitely biased.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ugh it’s so great. How I missed Myron, Win, Big Cindi, Esperanza and of course Myron’s parents. It was everything I wished for, well maybe if it was way longer and didn’t go way too quick.
For all the huge Myron fans out there you will not be disappointed! It’s wonderful just like the rest of the series.
I’m so hoping Harlan is already working on the next Myron book.
I want to give a huge thanks to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing a chance to read an advance copy of Think Twice in exchange for an honest review.

I've read the Myron Bolitar series for quite awhile. It's been three years since the previous book and maybe ten years since I read the first 10 books in the series. I have read the Mickey Bolitar series so I stayed up to date. There's more of the quirky and absurd in Think Twice than I remember from earlier books. All the personal relationships except maybe Win are weird.
Myron and Win are getting older, but are still close, but don't work quite as closely together. Although Win has a bead on everything all the time, we are mostly getting our point of view from Myron.
There's been a murder and the DNA found is one of Myron's clients who he thought was dead. He's also the man who married Myron's first love. Myron seeks to find out what happened and if Greg is still alive somehow. The story brings back a lot of details and ties into some previous stories. I guess Myron gets involved because of who he is but he shouldn't.
There are plenty of dicey situations for Myron. He sustains some injuries. But he does solve all the murders in the end along with Win.

Another adrenaline-filled read full of quick wit and told at a lightning pace. I was hooked from the first chapter. This is book #12 in the Myron Bolitar series, but you don't necessarily have to have read the others to appreciate the story. There are a LOT of characters, so be warned about that. I felt like I needed sticky notes to keep up with who was who. Switching between first, second, and third person also gave me a little whiplash, but it was used with purpose.

This is book 12 in the Myron Bolitar series and I was so happy to invited back into this world. I love the characters in this series (and not just our main characters Myron and Win who are fabulous), but the supporting characters are also fabulous and all of my favorites were present in this one. I will admit I haven’t read every book in this series (I found it late and am still catching up) but the story still worked for me. Myron is surprised when the FBI stops by demanding to know where his old friend Greg is. Myron is particularly surprised because Greg died years ago. But the more Myron and Greg dig into the murder deceased Greg is suspected of the more they realize how much they didn’t know. In addition to a serial killer who kills and frames someone else with motive (pretty scary concept of a serial killer if I’m honest) there is a lot of family drama as well but in a really good way. I was so happy to see Myron and Jeremy actually talking and spending a bit of time together, even if it was just to try to keep Jeremy’s father out of jail.

It’s hard to believe that Harlen Coben began writing the Myron Bolitar thriller series twenty nine years ago! This newest installment is the twelfth in the series and once again we find sports agent/lawyer Myron teamed up with Win Lockwood, the financial wizard who handles the investments of Myron’s clients.
As the story opens, we witness a murder taking place after which two FBI agents come calling on Myron. Though he thinks they’re there to discuss the murder, Myron soon finds out their real motive when they question him about his former client, famed basketball coach Greg Downing who died three years ago. Or did he? And how could Greg be tied into the mysterious murders that have taken place over the last few years?
Harlan Coben has definitely maintained his masterful ability to deliver engaging thrillers, filled with characters that are smart, witty and keep the reader wanting more. Though part of a series, this can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone book.
Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for proving me with an advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was introduced to the wonderful and fun world of Harlan Coben’s work via reading Stephen King’s The Outsider shortly after it was published. So, at this point I’ve read (and adored the Myron Bolitar series) and a bunch of standalones. It’s gotten to the point where any new book of his is an auto-read for me.
I was so excited ❤️ to get a copy of Think Twice on May 3 and began reading it immediately (much to the dismay of another book I was reading at the same time) and was pulled into the story immediately - laughing from Myron’s phone call with his parents and then reading it out loud to my husband (I have a, maybe weird, habit of how if I read something that works for me I read it aloud to whoever in my family is around at the time to appreciate it), to Win being so perfectly Win.
I read this happily - it had my attention from beginning to end. Think Twice is a story absolutely worthy of Myron and Win.
Thank you to Grand Central Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC

How I missed Myron Bolitar and Win! In this murder-mystery with heart, Myron and Win are stunned to learn Myron’s old nemesis Greg Downing who they though died, is actually still alive. Well-written and super readable this is a book that will keep you reading to the end! Highly recommend!

Wow, just wow! I’m not kidding when I say I had a jaw dropping moment when reading this one! While we had to anxiously wait eight years for a new Myron and Win novel, it might have been worth it! The twelfth book in this series, Myron and Win are a little bit older but still have the same sarcastic banter, and are still both studs in their own minds. In a case that’s much too close to home when the DNA of one of Myron’s deceased client and rival, Greg Dowling turns up at a murder scene, Myron feels obligated to investigate. Making it even more personal, Greg is married to Emily, the one that got away from Myron. They are further connected by Jeremy, Myron’s biological son who he didn’t know about for the first years of Jeremy’s life. So, in a mix of personal and professional, Myron tries to solve the mystery while Win, as always, has his back.
I have read all of Coben’s books, and Myron Bolitar is one of my all-time favorite series. This book is as phenomenal as all the previous ones! It truly felt like a reunion with the return of Esperanza, Big Cyndi and Myron’s parents.
This book is mystery, thriller, humorous, romantic in a Myron and Win – ish way, with twists that will keep you guessing, suspense that will have your heart racing and an intriguing technique of intermingling the perspective of the potential culprit.
I don’t want to say more in fear of giving anything away. But while enough backstory is given that you can pick this one up as a standalone, do yourself a favor, and start from the beginning and enjoy the ride! Hopefully it will become one of your favorite series as well!

I have read Harlan Coben before but never any of the Myron Bolivar series. Myron Bolivar is what I would describe as a somewhat hardboiled detective who is actually an attorney turned sports agent. I was a bit worried about the sports angle of it since that is not to my liking but it was not overwhelming. Myron seemed like a very ethical man who gets pulled into doing the right things while he is solving whodunits. In addition to the whodunit aspect, which kept me guessing until the end, there was good character development and personal drama between Bolivar and Greg, the man everyone is looking for. There was definitely enough to keep me interested and I think the story became much stronger and compelling in the second half. Now, I definitely want to go back and read more of this series.
Thanks to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for providing me with an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A murder has been committed and the DNA of a dead man is found, implicating him.
Harlan Coben did it again! He left me wondering until the end just who the guilty party is and how the mystery will be solved.
This book is part of the Myron Bolitar series and it reunites Myron and Win; both a little older but with the same banter in their relationship as in prior books. Along with them, the reader is also reunited with Esperanza and Big Cyndi.
The story centers around the murder and the fact that the DNA at the scene of the crime is that of a man presumed dead: Greg Downing; Simon Bolitar’s former basketball rival. Although they were rivals, eventually they patched up their differences enough for Simon to not only attend his funeral but also to give his eulogy. So how did Greg’s DNA show up at the murder?
Let the rollercoaster ride begin! It soon becomes evident that a serial killer is at large and the FBI becomes involved. With all the twists and turns that only Coben can provide, the book is impossible to put down and the outcome is unpredictable. As always, a great read by a fantastic mystery author who never disappoints.
Thank you, NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for allowing me to read and review this ARC.

I will continue to be a fan of his. However this book was a massive disappointment and to sum up it one word ridiculous. Two stars

It's been a minute since the last Myron Bolitar but Coben hasn't lost his touch with twisty, often funny, intense tales. Myron's former client and long time frenemy Greg is supposed to be dead but the FBI shows up at Myron's partner Win's office and accuses him of the murder of a former supermodel. Huh? It's clear that Greg is or was alive after he was cremated (I know) but where is he? This takes Mason into a complicated search involving a Las Vegas mobster, Greg's ex-wife, his son (and Myron's) and, of course Esmerelda and Win. At the same time, periodic chapters detail other murders. But who? No spoilers from me- and I sure didn't guess this one. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This should be fine as a standalone (there's good backstory) but it's mostly going to be for fans of the series, who should be more than satisfied. It's a page turner.

“Think Twice” by Harlan Coben was an absolutely enjoyable read filled with intriguing plot twists, intelligent dialogue and some humor as you would expect from this great author! Mr. Coben has brought back to us Myron Bolitar sports agent, and moneyed blue blood best friend Win Lockwood, in an action packed wild adventure.
Famed basketball coach Greg Dowling died three years ago and Myron gave his eulogy, so why is the FBI in Myron’s office asking Myron where he is and letting him know his DNA was found at a double murder. Greg is Myron’s nemesis, he married Myron’s ex wife and was the father to Myron’s biological son, is it possible he is alive and a killer? This sets the stage for the thrilling journey Myron and Win embark on along with a host of our favorite characters from past books in the Bolitar series. This book is action packed, tension filled and impossible to put down. This book can be read as a standalone but if it’s your first read of this series I promise you will want to read all of them as these characters stay with you long after the books are finished. This book goes on my 2024 best reads list!
Thank you NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Harlan Coben has written another stellar book!!! This was gripping from the very beginning and it just kept getting better! Myron and Win set out to find out the truth about Greg, a basketball coach who was presumed dead and who killed him. All kinds of obstacles get in their way and I was shocked by the ending!! Myron and Will make the perfect crime duo! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. To be published May 14, 2024.

Thank you Grand Central Publishing for approval to read new Harlan Coben! I've not read too many of his previous books but the ones I have I was a big fan of!
This is my first Myron Bolitar story; this is book TWELVE in this series though. And I really loved Myron's character! He seems like the friend you want on your side when things go wrong. His and Win's friendship was one of my favorite parts of this book; they are hilariously sarcastic and witty with each other! I didn't feel like I was lacking any background knowledge from not reading any of the previous books (although I do like the character so maybe when I find time [never, lol] I'll try to read some of the past books in the series).
The second person POV for the Killer's POV chapters was different and I think I quite liked it told that way. That was new for me and a favorite aspect of this story telling.
I did not see the ending coming! This has some twists along the way to figuring out the mystery and I loved Myron's travels across the country to try to figure this out before the FBI. Fast-paced, tense, and mysterious, this was definitely a page turner for me!
The ending really ramped up with some thrilling moments. Back and forth between Myron's and the Killer's perspectives as they come to a blowout moment... had me on the edge of my seat!

This was a stellar read!!! and I enjoyed the array of complex characters in the mix. Coben always manages to hit his books right out of the park! and I can only hope we get to see more of the Character Myron in future books.
How can a dead man commit a murder; oh not just 1 murder but also be connected to 2 in total? That's the question Myron is trying to answer while trying to come to terms with his situationship with an ex girlfriend and their son. As Myron tries to uncover the mystery, lives are at stake and he's had to come to terms with what and who can be traded for the people we love!
Watch out for the end, just when you think you've got it figured out!
Excellent 5 stars!!
