I thought this book would be about over achievers that struggle to stay challenged, however, it was really more about the authors personal struggles and challenges. While these were interesting, they didn't translate well to my experiences and life, and ultimately I didn't find this book as helpful as I would have hoped.
"I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.
"In Search of You" isn't just another self-help book; it's like having a heart-to-heart with a friend who truly gets it. Kasey Compton dives deep into the struggles modern women face, tackling the elusive quest for self-love and fulfillment. Through her own journey and those of countless others, she unpacks the reasons why outward success often leaves us feeling empty inside. With a blend of empathy, research, and personal anecdotes, Kasey guides readers toward embracing genuine self-love, healing past traumas, and rediscovering joy in the little things.
What sets "In Search of You" apart is its authenticity. Kasey doesn't sugarcoat the process; she lays bare her own vulnerabilities and invites readers to do the same. This book is a beacon of hope for anyone feeling lost or stuck in a cycle of seeking external validation. It's a reminder that true fulfillment comes from within, and Kasey's insights offer practical steps toward reclaiming that sense of wholeness. So, if you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and find genuine joy along the way, dive into "In Search of You" today. Trust me, it's a game-changer.

In Search of You : How to Find Joy When Doing More Isn't Doing It Anymore. This biographical book is based on the authors' own life challenges and is one of those books that will either resonate with you or not. Unfortunately I couldn't relate to it and realised it wasn't for me. However I recognise the amount of work, heart and soul the author has put into it, and I believe it will be the perfect book that will help other people. Good Luck with it.
