This book was really sweet. A great story for children to learn about how to treat one another. My kiddos really enjoyed it as did I.
I really enjoyed this book. It was different than anything else I've read recently. I couldn't put it down! I will keep an eye out for this author's future work!
"A fun mystery detective book for middle-grade readers." ~nerdywordyreviews
Follow Lark as she gets ready for her first race. Lark is excited about taking part, but a storm blew through and ruined the path for all the runners. As a group, race participants and Lark and her friends sign up to help clear the debris so that it is safe for the race. While doing this, a friend of hers mentions that someone stole her watch and left a note behind. The person who stole the watch does not want her friend to take part. That sends Lark and her friends on a mission to track down the culprit and get her friends watch back. Will the clues Lark finds lead to the person who took the watch?
This book has ten brief chapters with larger lettering for middle-grade readers. It is a fun detective mystery that has the reader following along with the clues and trying to figure out who the culprit is themselves.
Lark Goes the Distance is a quick read that has black and white photos inserted every so often within the chapters, giving the reader more to envision.
There are many more Lark stories written by Natasha Deen where Lark goes on different adventures.
A great series for beginner chapter readers as well as middle grade readers.
A chapter book for readers who are advancing in their reading. It has more words than pictures. The story is written by the kid and a few times they try a few times to spell the word right. My kids love seeing this in books. A clever story and it’s part of a series.
