Thanks to NetGalley and Zibby Books for the advanced audio book.

I enjoyed the set-up for this story--that a "one hit wonder" writer is about to have to pay back the advance she already spent if she can't come up with a manuscript of a second book within a week, and so decides to pitch a Blank book--one with nothing written on the pages. The meta discussion of the publishing world and what makes something a bestseller was interesting and fun to dig into the exaggeration of. But the tropes of story, and the message it's presenting, felt a little too heavy handed for me, especially in a climactic scene that happens in the main character's driveway.
