these were...just okay. 2.5 stars. I've read a couple of these collections before, for Harry Potter and the Hunger Games, for example, and maybe I'm just more emotionally invested in those series but the essays tended to hit much closer to the heart.
This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.
As a children's librarian, I found this book helpful with some entries more pertinent than others, but along with given information about the Percy Jackson series it also introduces kids to other writers who they might enjoy.
Rick Riordan is one of the best authors I've known. I'm a fan of his works and I really enjoy reading them.
Great book!
A good look at the gods of mythology that inspired Riordan's juvenile book series. No new ground here, but an approachable read that will help his readers.
