One of those books you don’t want to put down, but you don’t want to finish either, because it would mean saying goodbye to the characters… And Malcolm was a veritable surprise, a sweet and hot cinnamon roll of a mercenary, maybe also with some himbo vibes when it comes to understanding women. How I wanted to shake him and make him see what was really happening with Alyss!
I laughed quite a lot at Alyss’s antics, but I also must confess that I related to her and her need to be always right and assert her opinion no matter what.
The writing is gorgeous as ever and the scenes so vivid that I easily pictured them in my mind. Ayers is firmly in my top ten of HR authors!

I’ll admit to looking up the author on goodreads, but I went into this novel (and series) completely blind - and took a chance based on the positive reviews of her previous work. And considering that the publisher states this is part of their line that offers “scorching-hot reads with open-door steam and honestly, that was the main reason I grabbed this one at first (that and the positive reviews), and at 48% of the way in, I haven’t encountered any yet (obviously not an insta-love, which I can appreciate).

I really liked Malcolm’s character; Alyss, also.

The spice levels are definitely acceptable, but the occurrence of such scenes I personally found disappointing, as I’d been hoping for or at least one or two more.

Overall, Sinfully Yours was a fun read - I did enjoy it far more than not. This was the first book of the series I’ve read (first time reading the author) and I didn’t feel lost at all. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the others.

Let me start with saying I love Ayers. She is a go to historical romance author for me. This novel tells the story of Malcolm and Alyss. Malcolm is unaware of his family’s change in fortune and takes one last mercenary job to kidnap a prospective bride for her suitor, but accidentally abducts the bride’s disapproving cousin Alyss instead. So ensues a push and pull romance. Alyss was a bit much at times with her whole “I refuse to love and I know everything” but to Ayers credit-she fully acknowledges that Alyss can be a terrible know-it-all by having other characters call her out for it. And it is actually kind of adorable that Malcom loves her anyhow. He loves all of her. It reminds me of Arabella and Rowan from the “Wickeds” series. If you liked them then you will like this couple. Thank you NetGalley for this free ARC in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I think Malcolm is my favorite Sinclair! Malcolm just wants to get back to London to his family so he can help them. So to make sure he gets to London he accepts the task of kidnapping Miss Elizabeth Brooks. What he doesn't know is that his family has already pulled themselves out of poverty. And he kidnapped the wrong woman.

Alyss Brooks was proud and stubborn and honestly got on my nerves a bit thinking she was always right and not even considering that her being right and proving it wasn't the best thing for her. I mean, who willing lets themselves get kidnapped?

Despite Alyss's headstrong nature, she and Malcolm have lots of chemistry and get their happily ever after. Truly, Alyss fits in the Sinclair family well.

What a great continuation of the Five Deadly Sins series. Although this book could be a stand alone, I feel like it would be best to read as part of the series as so much of the backstory occurs in the others. Malcolm Sinclair, one of the Five Deadly Sins siblings, doesn't realize how much life has changed for his siblings as he has been away fighting in the war. Alyss, is a spinster who is a tough woman who has experienced tremendous loss in her young life and chose to be a companion to avoid marriage. The story is funny, heart wrenching, and absolutely lovely. This story is fraught with trials and tribulations, laughter and love. I really enjoyed getting to know Malcolm and Alyss and I loved how no matter what fears Alyss had, Malcolm would take them on for both of them. Beautiful ending in the epilogue. I read an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this book and series. This book could be stand alone, but much better as a series. The characters were well-written. I actually found myself feeling sad for Alyss. There was a connection between Alyss and Malcom and they brought a little passion and heat to the pages. This was one of those books that was a quick read because it had a good pace and entertaining throughout. I hated for it to end.

Alyss and Malcolm meet in a botched abduction in the case of mistaken identity. What happens after that is hilarious hijinx when two people with big personalities are forced to share a close space together. I loved both of them. They had smoking hot chemistry together too.

There has been a lot of mention of Malcolm in the previous books so it was great to finally get more of his story. It's clear pretty early on that he and Alyss are perfectly suited to one another. They have similar pasts with regard to losing a beloved mother and not growing up in the most traditional ways. And they both felt as though they couldn't give the other what they needed - he because he thought his family was still destitute and her because she didn't feel she was enough for him. I also really liked that these two characters were pretty good at reading one another right from the beginning. Alyss is a great character because she does do her best to keep going strong even when everything is going very wrong around her. My heart broke a little for her when Malcolm was rather cold toward her the morning they left the cottage - it was completely understandable why her thoughts about their time together took the direction they did. And of course I wanted to smack Elizabeth for ever believing Alyss would do anything to hurt her - she does redeem herself later for which I forgave her for her lapse in good judgement. I know her uncle loves her and that's why he told her she needed to marry Clinton but it was still a bit of a harsh punishment considering everything she had done was to protect his naive daughter. And, as we learn, had he just waited a little while longer the whole thing would have gone away on its own. His comment to her on the morning of the wedding about not having to go through with it when it was because of him that she agreed to it in the first place - very frustrating. Most of the characters see Alyss as stubborn, but I wish someone had seen that it was really fear that caused her to act the way she did most of the time. Fear of being along, fear of being the reason someone she loved suffered, fear of rejection, fear of being unloved, and the list could go on and on. Malcolm does catch on to this later which just made it more clear how perfect they were for one another. The only scene missing from the book that I would have loved to have been able to read was when Malcolm confronted Buckmore - I really wanted to see that little worm squirm. I really liked that Malcolm showed his feelings for Alyss through his actions - getting the locket back, getting Buckmore to recant his story, etc - and not just through seduction. Although if he hadn't gotten so caught up with her in the park and had just told her the truth about his feelings maybe he wouldn't have had to plan a second kidnapping. I also really liked that these two end up working together in their investigation business as they truly are a perfect team.

Sinfully yours indeed , what an excellent story to add to this sinful collection by Kathleen Aryres .
This is a passionate and adventures story where a mistaken kidnapping ends up in a scandal leaving Alyss having to agree to marry a horrid man to save herself .
Malcom Sinclair down on his luck having been away fighting the wars and having been robbed agrees to the kidnapping for coin , only to get entangled with the feisty Alyss .
A well written and exciting story of full of angst ,sizzling passion and romance really enjoyable read .

Malcolm Sinclair, former soldier, and mercenary has once more run afoul of the authorities. He finds that the only way to escape his situation is to accept Lord Buckmore’s task to kidnap Elizabeth, a young lady that he wishes to wed. The only problem is that Malcom must kidnap the right woman away from her overzealous and overprotective cousin, Miss Alyss Brooks. Alyss may have a scathing tongue and be feared by many of Elizabeth’s suitors, but she knows when she is right, and she knows Buckmore to only be out for Elizabeth’s dowry. So, when Alyss is mistaken for her cousin, she sees an opportunity to confront the vile young lord once and for all. However, she finds herself stranded with only Sinclair, her kidnapper, able to save her.
Another great addition to this series. My only complaint is that it felt too short in comparison to the other books in the series. I loved how both Malcolm and Alyss begin to understand each other, particularly when Alyss can only do so with hints that Malcolm dishes out. An enjoyable read.

This is 4th in a series, and it is helpful but not essential to have read the others first. However! This is also the best of the series so far, focusing on Malcolm Sinclair, who has been both solider and then a mercenary in Venice. Crucially, he's been moving around a lot and a few very key pieces of post from his siblings have not caught up with him... I.e. he still believes them to be impoverished. We also meet him at the beginning of the book having just been robbed and in a sticky situation with the local authorities. A very shifty English lord offers him passage to England if he will help with a small task... kidnap this lord's apparently willing future wife, away from her disapproving family.

Alyss, the cousin of Elizabeth, the prospective kidnappee gets embroiled in this fiasco when Malcolm kidnaps her by accident.

I really enjoyed this book! Malcolm and his 'vicious little fairy' are an entertaining pair. And it's lovely to see Malcolm reunite w his family.

I recommend! 4.5 stars. Thanks Netgalley for the ARC.

Ever since reading the first book I knew Malcom’s book would be my favorite, and the real thing did not disappoint. Malcome is rough, ready to brawl, and deadly. He is also the most romantic of his brothers, how he thought and spoke of his mother just Le sigh. Alyss, is a stubborn by choice spinster with a great sense of right and wrong and she lovessss being right. This is sweet, romantic, and good sex scenes. I really enjoyed when he reunited with his family, I am attached to all of them at this point. I hope aunt Lottie is more in the next one I have missed her and I want her and Mr. Worthington to get happy endings as well. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Fun story. Malcolm has had his money stolen so needs to get back to England. Horrible Lord Buckmore asks him to kidnap an heiress but to avoid the heiress's chaperone Alyss. Malcolm makes a mistake and grabs Alyss instead. He soon realises his mistake and does help Alyss, though Alyss isn't very grateful. Buckmore ruins Alyss's reputation.

In the meantime Malcolm is able to return to his now monied family. I like this series.

A hilarious twisted love story with a most unusual beginning! You know to expect the unusual from the Sinclair deadly sins. Malcolm Sinclair has been so out of touch with his siblings that he doesn’t know how much things have changed for them in recent months. This bizarre tale is carefully constructed piece by piece . . .I enjoyed it very much. Get ready for a crazy ride! I thank the author and NetGalley for an advance review copy. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

I really love her cinnamon roll heros and their love. I could have used a bit longer ending, but it is so sweet and satisfying.

I am a huge fan of Kathleen Ayers. I have loved all 24 of her books and wait with bated breath for her new releases. The Sinclair’s are a family that has found a place in my heart. They had the worst thrown at them and kept their humour and integrity throughout. Each member of the family has been strong, interesting and believable. Although we have heard about Malcolm over the first 3 books not much is known bar, he is in Europe fighting as a soldier. I liked him instantly and was rooting for his HEA. Alyss was a more bruised human and covered her vulnerability with stubborn and unyielding determination almost to her own detriment. I loved how she was written and 'got' her. My favourite thing with a series is having the characters that I loved before and the ones still to read about mentioned in a catch-up, Ms Ayers is really good at finding a way to thread them into the tale and make it all gel coherently. Each of the 4 siblings so far has mentioned their mother and how she affected their lives, it is these special things that make KA such a good storyteller. I loved this book - it was well-written, had a great story and loads of amazing steam. Highly recommend.

Ms Ayers books are a treat. Recently re read the Barrington series during the holidays. Coming to Mal and Alyss story, not the unusual story line. Malcolm the twin of Andrew and a former captain with less money and not knowing the latest good fortunes of the Sinclair family takes up a kidnapping project for a silly Baron. Everything goes wrong as he abducts the wrong Ms. brooks. Following this a series of events kind of meanders the usual path. This series apart from book 1 and 2 seem a tad bit boring for me. However I love Ms Ayers writing, she is one the best historical romance authors in recent times along with the legends like Quinn, Kleypas, Balogh, E James, M Spencer etc and I hope the finale to this series will elevate to the usual good story.

New readers of MS Ayers will definitely enjoy the story. I am eagerly waiting the next Barrington story of Phaedra and Morgan.
