I unfortunately did not get around to reading this one in order to give feedback. I do enjoy the title and the cover!

There were two main issues I had with the book. The first was the way the author portrayed friendships between men and women. There’s a scene where two male friends share something more than platonic in front of Tanith, which felt uncomfortable—especially since one of those friends is the male lead, Luke, who had just talked about wanting to date Tanith. This, combined with the way the author depicted the women, especially from a male perspective, made the book harder to enjoy.

The other issue was the rushed sex scene. It didn’t feel like it added much to the book and seemed a bit thrown in at the end.

Overall, while I enjoyed the vibes and the romance, I felt like the ending was too rushed, and I didn’t connect as deeply with the story as I’d hoped. It’s a short, sweet teacher x doctor romance with a found family theme, so I’d recommend it to someone looking for something light, but I’m not sure I’d read it again.

For some reason I had a bit harder to connect and start this book which I never thought I would have since I was a fan of the first book. I think I might re-read it and re-review it later on when the time is right.

As a woman in STEM, I love to read these types of romance novels! The relationship between Tanith and Luke was undeniable and cute, but overall, I just felt like something was missing, or maybe it was just the overall pace of the book. The length of the book made it a super quick read, more like a novella.

It was lighthearted, which is what people who read contemporary romance look for I think, but I just can't get on the insta-love train. It doesn't feel real.

A charming contemporary romance. The characters are relatable and the storyline is engaging. Tanith and Luke’s chemistry is palpable and their journey to something more is both heartwarming and believable. The blend of humor and emotional depth keeps the story fresh and entertaining.

Passion Under the Microscope is a fun, quick, and easy romance read. I enjoyed the storyline, particularly Luke's conflict with his partner at his sports medicine practice. It kept the plot engaging, and overall, it was an enjoyable read. However, I felt that Tanith's character could have been developed more. At times, she came across as a bit flat and didn't quite match the depth of Luke's character, which left their dynamic feeling slightly unbalanced.

I appreciated the banter between Luke and Tanith, but I didn’t quite feel the chemistry between them. I think Tanith's less-rounded character played a role in this, as I struggled to connect with her as deeply as I did with Luke.

You don’t necessarily need to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one, though if you have, you might catch a few more references to the previous story. That said, this book stands well on its own.

This book was overall such a pleasant surprise! I will admit after reading a streak of misses in the romance category my bar has been pretty low. I loved the synopsis the minute I read it, as a fellow high school teacher, I love to see the representation! Tanith is a great FMC. She is confident, self-sufficient and sassy as hell which was amazing. Luke, the MMC, was a a bit less dynamic of a character for me personally, but his overall cinnamon roll, golden retriever energy made up for it. The two of them had such sizzling chemistry but when the time came to let the connection burn, it just fell so flat. The sex scene (singular) just felt so rushed, honestly, it would have been better to leave it as a fade-to-black or closed door to preserve the chemistry.

The plot was interesting and kept me hooked throughout. Particularly, the rather heavy topics that were really respectfully integrated into the characters. This was so clearly done with love and care and it came through really beautifully. Tanith's relationship with Deandra was really well written and represented how difficult it is to make peace with an estranged, difficult and complex relationship with a parent.

I would recommend this book for those looking for a sweet, quick romance as a palette cleanser. It was just enough of everything I enjoy. If you are like me and want the following, check this one out!

Science and Romance? Sign me up. Sweet romance that really did a nice job of highlighting how romance is for everyone, even the smarties. Great banter, good chemistry (ha) and just overall, a low angst fun read that I really enjoyed. She's a new to me author but I look forward to reading more!

This is the second book of the series, Smart is Seriously Sexy. I read the first one and enjoyed it and this one also did not disappoint. This was another great STEM story focusing on Tanith, a biology teacher who has sworn off men, and the hot doctor, Luke, who has a crush on her. Tanith has her reasons for wanting to stay single and has been keeping Luke at a distance. But when she injures her ankle and he is called upon to help her, he sees this as an opportunity to finally get close to her. As they spend more time together, Tanith's walls slowly begin to come down and looks like she just might be willing to give love a chance, but of course only after tackling some hurdles along the way.
I really liked Tanith's character. She was stubborn, yet witty and strong, and I really liked the way she genuinely cared about her students, not just during class time, but outside the classroom as well. The way Luke always supported was really sweet. This was an entertaining and delightful story that gave me all the feels. Really enjoyed it!

Book 2 of this series just as fun as book 1 and the familiarity of the characters just adds to the enjoyment. Liked the character background developement and how their lives are , and how it’s not 100% about the relationship.
