This book was just what I needed.
No spoilers ! The audiobook was wonderful to listen to.
A soft cute , drama free romance.
Where two strangers become friends and from friends they become much more.
I loved the narrative, the plot and story.
Both characters were so wonderful, Nora and Duke were made for each other.
Nora has been through so so much, and Duke became her safe space,
Duke, as different as they were, didn't make it harder for her to fit in. He just opened his arms and decided he would be the person she needed him to be.
Two green flags and I loved both.
4.5☆

This was so cute I really enjoyed it , the characters and plot were well done as well I definitely plan to buy it

DNF - I found the FMC to be irritating and was not able to get past it. She was too set in her ways and it was not something that I could suspend belief for.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media & NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was such a sweet, and emotional read! I loved watching Nora and Dukes random encounter eventually lead to a friendship, that blossomed into a relationship. Nora was an extremely likeable FMC who had been through so much, so seeing Duke fall so hard for her and teach her to accept the love she deserves, was so gratifying! If you’re looking for a new clean romance that will leave you feeling happy and giddy after their epilogue, I highly recommend this one!
Nora hasn’t had an easy life, she’s constantly caring for her sisters and Mother financially after every one of her Moms relationships fails. On a rare night out she goes out on a date to a Utah Jazz game, and somehow ends up kissing the stranger next to her on the Kiss Cam. Because her date is a total skeezeball, she decides to leave with the Kiss Cam Man, Duke. They spend the night together platonically celebrating their kiss cam kiss, as it was a bucket list item for one of them. But they part ways that night, and never see each other again; until three years later. When Nora runs into Duke and applies and is accepted for an intern position at his Marketing Company. What ensues is their friendship beginning to blossom, while Nora struggles to accept Duke into her life. She’s so used to being let down and taking care of those around her, she’s unable to accept it for herself. But Duke isn’t giving up on Nora, until they get there happily ever after.
Read if you like:
-clean romance
-forced proximity
-boss and intern
-learning to love and be accepting of love
-bucket lists
-chance encounters leading to love
-friends to lovers
-he falls first and harder

This is seriously the best book! I’m still swooning! The meet cute! It was so astonishingly perfect. I never laughed so much. My husband saw me coming in the room just after I’d read it and even he noticed I just couldn’t stop smiling.
If you read nothing else this year, READ THIS BOOK! Duke was the perfect hero. So kind, attentive and genuinely good. What we’d all like our sons to grow up to be. Nora was sweet and so giving. I seriously teared up several times as I read about her fears and dreams.
If you are a romantic at all you will LOVE this book. But give yourself some time before you start as you are not going to be able to put it down!

This was such a great book. I love Duke and Nora, Their story was narrated perfectly which made this a very enjoyable listen. They’ve had a meant to be feel from that first interaction. That first meet/date had me completely invested. Such a cute romcom that is perfect for hopeless romantics like myself.

Ah! Just loved this one!
Cindy Steel is becoming a favorite when I need a to escape and enjoy a fun RomCom story. She ranks among a handful of authors who are able to draw me into their books, helping me step away from reality and just enjoy a good story!
Her characters are unique multi-layered, she builds them as full people with aches and challenges, alongside the joys. She has a special way of bringing them to life and making you feel deeply right alongside them.
I’m sure my personal experience of this was aided by the superb narration - really, top notch!
And even better, this is refreshingly clean! Although I will say: I have never understood the allure of “forearms” that so many romance novels insist on.
🤐 : very occasional mild language (i.e. what the h*ll)
😍: about 3 short descriptive kisses
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the complimentary eaudiobook in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐🎧
I received an ALC (Advanced Listener Copy) of this audiobook from NetGalley & Dreamscape Media.
First, I loved, and I mean I loved, the meet-cute!! It just made my day. We get a glimpse into what true chemistry can be. It's fun and quirky, and they had fun.
The time in between was necessary, for sure. I can get on board with that. Now, my beef with this one was how much this poor gal had to go through and still goes through. I mean, it was one thing after another. I was rolling my eyes, but there is HOPE!! Do you remember that chemistry I was talking about? Well, it comes back in full force.
I loved that he always, and I mean always, believed in her. I think that was my favourite part about this book, to be honest.
Even when they were getting to know each other and their interactions along the way, it just melted my heart. And this book went from 3 stars at best to a full-on four, almost five stars because I couldn't remember all the … that gets dumped on our girl. It was too much. I am all for rooting for the underdog, but that was just cruel.
Justis is a new narrator to me, and I really enjoyed the way she brought this story to life. I would completely listen to another book that she narrates.

This one had so much sweetness to it. I loved it! It had a bit of everything and I didn’t want it to end. I loved the banter and the two MC’s.
Thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for my advanced audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

I loved this book! I listened to it in the car on my way to work every day. This book had the cutest meet cute. The FMC is on a terrible date at a sporting event. Her terrible date leaves to get something when the kiss cam lands on the FMC and the stranger next to her. A few years later the guy from the kiss cam ends up being her boss. The MMC is so cute. He leaves her Dr. Pepper on her desk because she loves it. This was a very sweet romcom.

OHMYSWOONYLANTA!! The second time did not disappoint. I’ve read the ebook but this audio brought it to a whole new level.
Story: Kissing a total stranger on the Jumbotron Kiss Cam starts Duke and Nora on a night that is never forgotten. So many sighs to the very last word.
Narrator: She’s perfection. Loved Duke’s voice and she just lets you cozy down into the swoon. My ears were sooo happy.
Read it. Then listen. And then repeat. This author brings all the feels. It’s a story about finding the one who sees you. Even if it’s on a kiss cam.
Thanks to @netgalley for the audio. An all time favorite!

Giddy. This book made me feel fricken giddy and I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever said that before. I'm still icing my cheeks days after finishing this because they're sore from all the smiling I did while listening to the audiobook. Needless to say, I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THIS.
The One With The Kiss Cam is the epitome of swoon-worthy. It's filled with thoughtful gestures, sweet moments, undeniable chemistry, and top-tier banter. From the meet-cute to the happily ever after, you will be absolutely, utterly charmed by this book.
As for the audio, it was such a fun listen! I was fully engaged in the narration and Justis Bolding did an amazing job portraying both feminine and masculine voices. It was one of those audiobooks I couldn't wait to listen to!
Overall, this will easily fall in my top reads of the year and I will be recommending it to everyone I know. So if you're reading this and haven't already read it, READ IT NOW!
I received an advanced audio copy from Dreamscape Media, but all opinions are my own.

I loved this book. Nora and Duke's story gave me all the heart eyes! Such a great story from beginning to end!

I chose this book based on the adorable cover and the fact that I have never read a Cindy Steel book I didn’t love. This one did not disappoint.
It’s an opposites attract, second chance, closed door romance with such a unique meet-cute. I seriously giggled and swooned my way through this entire book. The chemistry between the two main characters is so strong. Their relationship is so playful. But underneath all that fun are two very real, very flawed people. It’s written beautifully, and perfectly paced. The bucket list adventures, the rope swing, the secret notes? I seriously loved this book.
I listened to this book and Justis Bolding does a fantastic job narrating. She’s a new narrator to me and I was really impressed with her.

So so so so good!!!! This will definitely be my top recommendation for awhile. It was hilariously funny but also so realistic with the issue that the main character was facing. I love how she found herself and how he unashamedly helped her but also helped her see why. They had to come to some serious compromises and I was so happy to see how this one ended.
🌀Synopsis
Nora has always been nervous to date because she doesn’t want to follow in her mom’s footsteps. When she decides to finally take a chance, it’s a disaster. The only good pet of the night is when the kids can is panning the crowd and lands on her and her not date neighbor. He’s handsome and nice but she’s not one to kiss someone when she’s on a date with someone else. The crowd is adamant though and so they kiss, deeply. It’s wonderful. It’s just too bad she’s leaving in a few days to help her grandma. She ends up leaving with the kiss cam guy, whose name is actually Duke and the two have a fun-filled night before Nora leaves town.
Now, a few years later she’s back and ready to get her life back on track. She’s cleaning office buildings at night to try to save to finish college when she sees him. She can only avoid him for so long before he finally catches up and finally hears what is going on. His company is having an internship competition that will pay for college and when she’s selected to be part of it she’s determined to leave things with him in the past. Only, he’s not leaving it alone. Between Dr.Peppers, Cokes, and notes these two find a way back into each others hearts and it’s so adorable.

The One with the Kiss Cam is the first story in Cindy Steel’s new rom-com series, The One. It is a sweet, closed-door workplace romance full of witty banter, but no profanity or sexual references.
20-something Nora Griffin has struggled her entire life. Her irresponsible mother has three daughters by three different men and a string of loser boyfriends. Nora has been working since she was 13 to help pay their bills, and now she is trying to take college classes on top of her job and family responsibilities. Her best friend creates a profile for her on a dating app and she is ambushed to go on a date at a Utah Jazz basketball game. Her date is a complete jerk, but while he is up getting more beer, the Kiss-Cam focuses on her and the handsome guy sitting in the seat next to her. So of course, they kiss and then end up making plans for after the game.
Nora has no intention of starting a relationship with wonderful Duke Webber or anybody else. She is moving to Fargo, North Dakota, in three days to care for her paternal grandmother who has been diagnosed with cancer. She and Duke have a series of adventures in Salt Lake City that result in Nora spraining her ankle and spending the night in the emergency room.
Fast forward three years and Nora returns to Salt Lake City, dead-broke and further behind in making progress in her education and career. She works as a waitress at the same diner and has just taken a second job as a custodian for her Aunt Cathy’s cleaning service. The good news is that both of her sisters have graduated from high school and her mom is now living in an RV in Florida with her latest boyfriend, Kip.
One night Nora encounters Duke and his buddies Mike and Ryan in her aunt’s office building. Then she learns that they grew their marketing business so much that they are now occupying space in the same building. Duke offers Nora a three-month internship along with two other graphic design students. Their third month will be devoted to creating a campaign for a new client and the winner of the contest will get a full-time position with RDM plus their college tuition paid. Nora works at RDM during the day and then cleans their offices late at night.
Meanwhile Nora and Duke are highly attracted to each other, but Nora is terrified of depending on anyone. She wants to have her life together before pursuing any kind of relationship. Nora and Duke try to be professional in the RDM offices but fail. Everyone in the small company can see their chemistry, and the other female intern calls her out on it multiple times. The reader waits anxiously for the three-month internship to finish before disaster happens.
The One with the Kiss Cam is a sweet story but I got so frustrated with Duke’s golden-retriever qualities. He just was not very professional in the office when it came to Nora, and I’m surprised that Mike and Ryan didn’t set him straight. Nora’s background was very well explained and any reader should be able to empathize with her situation. My favorite part of the story was Nora and Duke’s trip to Idaho to visit his grandparents. The line about “fear and hope” is very profound. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading or listening to the next one in the series.
The audio narration by Justis Bolding is great. The Utah accent is spot-on and she evokes the right amount of emotion into the story.
I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Nora usually avoids dating and focuses on reaching her dreams. She is determined to turn out nothing like her mom who can’t seem to provide for her family so instead Nora goes to the other extreme, working two jobs and going to school to try to reach those dreams. One night Nora gives into her friends demand that she dates and she ends up with a not all that desirable dating app match at a basketball game. When the kiss cam centers on Nora and not her date, but the guy sitting on the other side of her things change forever. Duke is the perfect guy for Nora, but too bad she is leaving town in a few days. When she returns to town years later and runs into Duke again the attraction is still there, will a relationship bloom or will Nora be to devoted to reaching her dreams to think about a guy?
I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. I instantly fell in love with Nora and Duke and wanted them to end up together so bad. The characters are so relatable and easy to love, they are the perfect characters, flaws and all. This story is entertaining, easy to get lost in and humorous in all the right places. I loved every minute of this book and am so glad I picked this read. If you are a fan of fun romances that are impossible to put down, this one is for you! I am definitely going to be reading more by this author and am sad this book is over!

This was adorable, but also very sad. The MMC was perfection, his friends were perfection, his family was perfection.
The FMC was a little too much, yes she had a rough childhood, or no childhood, but people who are actually that desperate and down and out are grateful for help. I know. She was just too much with all her issues.
You can tell this person lives near or has experience with SLC just based on the characters obsession with Soda.
I found myself giggling and in general loving everything about the characters interactions, I'm pretty sure that Duke is my new book boyfriend to compare all others to.
I LOVED that she didn't win the internship and was happy anyways, I kinda wish it would have stopped there instead of having them swoop in and give her a job.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape media for an early listen of this audiobook. All thoughts are my own, I do not accept money for reviews.
The grandparents are the highlight of this book. I was dying laughing the whole time they were in Idaho on their farm.
While Duke and Nora are a great couple, the growth of Nora realizing her fears were holding her back and letting them go was everything I needed right now. It’s hard letting go go of fears we have in our life from situations we’ve been through, the loss of a childhood being Nora’s. Deciding not to let those past actions affect our current and future lives that is important to allowing us to reach our best. If we’re always one foot out the door we won’t achieve anything long term.

I read this book a few months ago and jumped at the chance to listen to it and I fell in love all over again. This is definitely a favorite book of mine.
Duke and Nora have a meet-cute at a basketball game that involves a kiss cam and that’s just the beginning of a dream night. This story is so much fun–full of characters to root for, situations embraced with heart and emotion, packed with laughs, and overflowing with swoon.
Duke is a man worth wishing for and the narrator does a great job of creating the perfect feel for this whole tale to unfold and I really enjoyed her voice.
