So stinking cute! This is easily my favorite Cindy book. A fabulous romantic comedy with depth and growth!
I love Duke. He is patient, kind, flirty, grounded, and an all-around good guy. The world needs more men like Duke.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for my alc. All opinions are my own.

I saw this one randomly on NetGalley as an audiobook and decided to give it a try. I’ve never read anything from this author, but the general premise of this book definitely intrigued me and after reading, I definitely hope to read more by this author!
The beginning of the book was a great hook in my opinion. It was a super unique and fun meet cute that definitely had me smiling. As someone that loves basketball, going to games, watching, playing, basically everything about it I loved the beginning. Honestly, though based on the cover and a bit of the blurb, I was expecting there to be a bit more basketball in this book, aside from the first meet-cute it was never really mentioned again.
Most of this book takes place a while after Nora and Duke’s first time meeting. They basically spent one amazing night together, and then never saw each other again. That is until 3 years later, Nora starts working at Dukes company. I feel like this book had a lot of potential and a lot of things. I really enjoyed about it it just didn’t completely hit the mark for me. I feel like I was having a hard time seeing the connection between Nora and Duke while I do love a good second chance this one felt kind of forced. Duke was definitely ultimate book boyfriend and I enjoyed Nora as a character too, poor girl could just genuinely never catch a break. I definitely felt for her. I just didn’t feel the romantic chemistry as much as I wish I did between the two.
This was definitely a light, fluffy romcom that was easy to binge and enjoy, but I don’t really think you left much of a lasting impression on me. It’s not really one that I’m gonna go back and think about too much but I did enjoy my time listening to it as well as enjoying the narrators!
Overall, I definitely enjoyed this book and I would recommend it if you’re looking for some super light, fluffy and sweet. I definitely enjoyed listening to the audiobook, and if you are a fan of audiobooks, I would definitely recommend!
*Thank you NetGalley and team for an audio-ARC of this book an exchange for an honest review. All opinions above are 100% my own!*
I haven’t read a book by this author before so I was happy to try out this book. The premise of this book was cute and was what initially drew me in. Nora and Duke were lovable characters and this romcom was really enjoyable. (Note: no spice). I look forward to check out more works by this author.
Gosh, I love Cindy Steel! She write such heartfelt characters and has amazing storylines! I was so excited when I saw the audio of this book on NetGalley! I loved these characters, especially Duke! He's such a sweetheart and a charmer!

Initially, I was drawn to this book by the name alone. This sounded to me like an episode of Friends and I will always be interested in anything Friends related. Except for one reference “Lipper from Kipper” that was very similar to the Friends line “Lipper from Chipper,” I didn’t pick up on any other Friends references. I came into this book wanting that but I was so glad it didn’t do it because I loved this book just the way it is.
Duke and Nora are two of the most lovable and relatable characters. They are polar opposites which made it easier to connect to both of them pending the situation. Duke is always positive and sees the best in every situation while Nora seemed to always want that fairytale story but just kept seeing the negative and how it won’t happen. They leveled each other out perfectly.
I loved how their story played out from start to finish. This story will make you laugh and smile the entire book. I can not recommend this one enough.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about The One with the Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel and now I understand why! This book was adorable! Such a fun rom com with an adorable meet cute. I loved Duke and Nora! They truly are better together, which is what I want to see in the romances I read. This book had a wonderful mix of humor, heart, and real life, making for an excellent book. I devoured the audiobook (which had an excellent narrator) and am excited to read more by Cindy.
*Thank you Netgalley and Cindy Steel for an arc audio copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

“You can quote every romantic comedy ever made, but you can’t see the guy who loves you standing in front of your face.”
Nora Goes on an Internet date to a basketball Game but ends up on the kiss Cam with the stranger Next to her, Leading to a spontaneous bucket list night before Nora Has to Move Away.
Years Later Nora Bumps into her stranger again Duke, Down on her Luck and Under a torrential mass of strain, it feels like Fate they should meet again.
I love how Duke Brings out the Fun in Nora, and How Nora Brings out independence and strength of will in Duke they build each other up. it was such a moreish romance with possibly the Best Meet cute i have read!
This was such a cute book! I’ve never read any of Cindy Steele’s books before, but was looking for an ALC on netgalley and came across this!
Even though this was no spice and it was single pov I really enjoyed Nora’s journey and life struggles. Not that struggles in life are good, but it made a really compelling book! And Justis did an amazing job narrating!
And even though I REALLY WANTED Duke’s pov too, you can tell he’s a good guy, and you cant help but root for these two!
The only thing i REALLY wanted was more of an explanation of Rachel & Duke…. And I will leave that there because im not going to spoil this for anyone!!!
The books is available to read now on kindle unlimited, but the audiobook will be available on March 12!
I received an advance listening copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a cute and sweet story with lots of pops of humor! I enjoyed the narrator as well! The story itself wasn’t as fluffy as I expected. These characters had some depth and I liked that they had great banter but were also able to get serious and vulnerable with each other.
The One with Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel touched me in all the right places and left my heart in a puddle of contentment. I laughed out loud, held my breath, sighed multiple times, and never stopped smiling. Between the witty comical banter, the melt my heart romance, and genuine issues to tackle, I was hooked. From start to finish, I could not stop. I had an audiobook for a long drive and listened to the whole thing in one sitting. Here’s the thing, even without that opportunity, I would not have stopped. It is that good. The reminder that there are good guys out there who are willing to woo and fight for the woman they love was written perfectly. Seriously, swoon, sigh, repeat from start to finish. Treat yourself to a clean, chemistry laced, happily ever after, and then spread the word. It is the kind of feel-good story we could all use a little more of.
I received a complimentary audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions are solely my own, freely given.
This is possibly my favorite book this year. The audiobook was spectacular and the story was even better. I'm not sure how you spin a story this good. I seriously read it in one day. Well, listened. I couldn't stop. The characters, the plot, the chemistry, the swoon, the heart, the emotions, need me to continue?
You need to listen to this ASAP! It will suck you in from the first scene. LOVED THIS!!!

I’m have mixed feelings about The One on The Kiss Cam. The first chapter was a funny set-up. I liked it a lot, but the rest of the was hit and miss. A lot of the conflict was in the main character’s head or exaggerated by it. They were great as friends. I didn’t always see how Nora and Duke clicked.
There were a lot of funny and awkward situations that carried the book and made it fun.
The single narrator did a good job of both characters.

"(...) when I saw you again, I knew my life's mission would be your happiness."
I loved the plot of this book. Duke and Nora meet at a basketball game and end up on the kiss cam. Even though she is on a date with a sleazy guy who is more interested in beer and hot dogs than her, she gives in and kisses her cute seat neighbor while her date is away.
She ends up leaving the game with the kiss cam guy (Duke) and they end up spending a night together trying to cross things off their bucket list. They part ways since she’s moving to another state and Nora wonders about Duke and what things could have been if they had ended up together.
Three years later, they meet again at her place of work. After reconnecting, Duke is set on helping her out, so he gets her an internship at his business. The chemistry between them was off the charts and I loved the slow burn romance between them.
I felt so bad for Nora and how her family treated her, but I wish she could have accepted help from others a bit sooner. And Duke was literally the perfect love interest! He was so supportive and patient with Nora. ♥️
Things I loved:
🏀 Serendipity
🏀 She stands up for him
🏀 Slow burn
🏀 Workplace romance
If you like humorous, sweet, closed-door romances, you will love this book!
Thank you Dreamscape Media and Cindy Steel for the audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review.
thank you to dreamscape media, netgalley, and cindy steel for this audiobook arc!! this is my third cindy steel novel, and she truly knows how to write a sweet romance! i love the little references to romcoms and how it also incorporates some heavier themes throughout the story. i’ll recommend this one for a long time!! :)
the one with the kiss cam is a sweet little romance novel and the audiobook was nice, but i wanted to like this so much more than i did. i loved the meet-cute element of this one and how they meet up years later, but some things were just off. i didn’t love the fact that duke had a gf and we just glaze right over that, and i hated the focus on how poor our fmc was.. it felt a little like poverty porn at times and i don’t think it added to the story.
i liked the narrator of the audio a lot. i thought that there was some weird pacing at times but that’s not really a narrator issue. overall, this one wasn’t for me but it was fun to try out regardless!
This is the meet-cutest meet-cute I ever did read. I adored the beginning and that feeling carried through to the end. It's so flirty and fun and a date gone wrong turned so right is perfection.
Nora goes on a date to a Jazz game to and has the ick. He's just a bit cringey and counting down to the halftime, let alone the end, is the only game that she cares about. Her date leaves for treats and the Kiss Cam spots Nora and the cute guy on her other side. Repeatedly.
The beginning may have caught my attention in the best of ways but I loved how Cindy expanded on their attraction and gave depth to both characters. May be my favorite book of hers to date? Cindy's banter is always a huge plus!
The audiobook is narrated by Justis Bolding. I don't know that her narration took away from or accelerated my enjoyment, but it definitely is the format I could work with right now. I had been patiently waiting for it since the physical book published.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the alc. All thoughts are my own.
I really liked the meet cute at the beginning and thought it was fun and unique. I also liked how they reunited and still had feelings for each other. Besides that though, I was pretty bored after a while and kept wanting the book to end. It just wasn’t for me!
First thought: An adorable love story that is full of swoon worthiness. It’s lighthearted, fun, flirty, has great banter and makes you lol. You’ll definitely fall in love with Nora & Duke.
Nora had been working to support her family her whole life. At 13 she got a job washing dishes so she could help her mom pay the rent. But it’s time to finally break that pattern and do something for her, to stand in her own that’s why she decide to move to South Dakota in a few days to help care for her grandma and start school as a graphic designer.
But tonight she was going to take a chance and have fun, she agreed to go on a blind date to a jazz game cause she liked basketball. But her dates mullet was his best quality and that was saying a lot. Thankfully sitting on the other side of her was handsome guy named Duke. It started with the armrest and escalated when they were singled out for the kiss cam and shared one of the best kisses of her life! Duke saved her from her date and convinced her to spend a few more hours with him.
That one fated night checking things off their bucket list and the kiss cam at a basketball game would change everything.
Three years later Nora finds herself back home returning in a worse state than she left with nothing to show, her dreams fell apart. To make things worse she had to take a second job cleaning offices and of course fate liked to mess with her!
Duke fell in love with a girl at a basketball game it only took less than 12hours to know his life would never be the same. Him and Nora shared a limit amount of time and then she hugged him goodbye.
Three years later their paths crossed again, Nora was in his building and he couldn’t let her get away again. This time he was going to be her friend and not let her run away.

This was such a sweet and light hearted rom-com. Duke was one epic man. I loved so much his deep love shining through to Nora at every turn. Nora’s personal growth throughout the novel was so great. I feel like Duke helped bring out the best in her, and he helped her be the best version of herself. I was shocked by some of the turns this book took, it made me belly laugh so hard my children were looking at me funny. It made me squeal and happy dance in the kitchen while I was washing the dishes. (I listened to the audiobook, which was done extremely well! I loved the narrator.) I 100% recommend this gem of a truly closed door rom-com. It was refreshing that nothing was ever even implied, and let me tell you, I was falling head over heels for Duke & Nora. 😍
Fans of Sarah Adams will LOVE this book!!!
