I received an audiobook copy of this book for my honest review.
I loved this story! Our FMC goes on a date to a professional basketball game with an online "match" only to realize - it's not a match, he is the worst. But during halftime, he goes to get snacks and the nice looking (and smelling) guy on her other side and her end up caught on the kiss cam. They try and avoid it, but it comes back again, and again. On the third time, our MMC takes his shot and kisses her (with permission). After her original date comes back, but tries to make an advance on her - so Kiss cam guy and his friends get her out of the situation. Since they were on the cam, they won a free cookie - and decide to go out for that cookie. The catch is, she is moving in 3 days, so this has to be just one night. Because of this they decide to check two things off bucket lists for the night. It turns into one of the best dates either has had, but they only exchange social media, not phone numbers. 3 years later, she is back in town, not where she wants to be financially or in her career after some set backs, and takes a job as a cleaner for her aunts company. It just so happens to be in the same building, and on the same floor as our MMCs Marketing Company. They run into each other again on the elevator and it's like no time has passed. He enters her for an internship at his company to help her back to her career goals, and the chemistry is undeniable. Will they be able to keep things professional? Has it been too long? Can she let someone help her or will she close herself off to protect herself?
This book made me swooned from start to end.
I adored how our main characters fell in love, slowly but steady.
I also like how supportive our hero was without being overwhelming and taking into account if she wanted or not that support.
Our heroine's struggles and her relationship with her mom were so hard to read for personal reasons but I'm so happy she came out strong.
Overall this book have been in my radar for a while and I'm so happy to have read it.
I really liked the narration. It was fun and engaging.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

🫶🏽What worked for me
Everything! This was such a cute and cozy read, and much needed after some of the darker and heavier books I’ve read lately. The FMC is working hard toward her goals and the MMC is a golden retriever who wants to help. Certain parts were predictable, but that didn’t take away from the story.
🎧Audio Review
There wasn’t too much of a distinct difference between female voices, but it was still easy enough to follow. The female narrator’s male voices were fine, so I didn’t find any parts to be cringy. Pacing was good and transitions were smooth.
loved listening to this, was able to finish in one day.
The audible made it seem like a movie which I loved.
I love rom-coms and this one did not let me down, its relatable and has so many swoon moments.
Def would recommend
Thank you to net gallery- and the punblisher for this arc <3

This was so sweet! I really enjoyed and very quickly read this. I thoroughly enjoyed the narration.
I was sucked into Nora and Duke’s story from their very merry cute kiss cam! I really felt for Nora and all of the struggles she encounters in her life. I absolutely adored Duke and he is definitely new book boyfriend material. I did wish Nora would’ve been more willing to accept help. I questioned just how bad her student loans were but otherwise this was a sweet fun and swoony read.
I loved the concept of this book but it fell a little flat for me. I struggled a little with Nora and the barriers she has. She had very real issues and I really struggled with the need to help her.
Duke was a great book boyfriend and worked hard to show Nora a better life. I loved their banter and would have loved to see Duke's perspective.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC! Opinions are my own

Cindy Steel knows how to write the best rom-coms with all the angst and intensity that romance desearves. The audio was absolutely incredible. The Kiss Cam at a Jazz game was a completely fun way to start out the book, and all of the twists and turns that came next kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Here are things that I loved:
- Bucket list love
- Duke
- Duke's friends
- The motorcycle ride
- The comment about the rebound
- Dr. Pepper and Coke "war"
- Burt and Birdie
Content Considerations: a few swear words. In my opinion the book would have been better without them.
All in all it was a 6 out of 5 star read for me! Thank you to the author for the advance copy of this book. A positive review was not required.
Oh my gosh I loved this one!
This was my first Cindy Steel novel and I’ll absolutely be diving I to her backlist if this book is the standard! 🎉
This story had me grinning, laughing out loud, swooning, and butterflies in my stomach fluttering!
Read this if you like:
-an embarrassingly fun meet cute
-bucket list items
-one amazing night and then a 3 year gap
-workplace romance
-forced proximity
-witty banter and lots of flirting
-Dr Pepper
-the Dirty Dancing Lift
-sweet grandparents who cheat at cards
-boundaries
-complicated family dynamics
This is a steam free book for all my friends that prefer their stories that way, but if you’re like me and like that door a little (okay fine, a lot) open I can PROMISE you this one still delivers on all the emotional and romantic chemistry.. you’ll never even notice it wasn’t there! 🫶🏻
I had the chance to listen to this one via audio thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape media! I LOVED this audiobook! The narration was done really well, all the voices were distinct, and the emotion was present at all the right moments! I was completely pulled into the story because of this and will absolutely be recommending this audiobook to everyone! Thank you so much for the chance to enjoy this ALC!
The One with the Kiss Cam was on my radar before I found the audio for review. Recommended by a trusted friend, I had it ready to read on my kindle. Getting the audio to review was the catalyst to get me started and cruised through it over a couple of days of working around the house. It is cute and fast paced and a great "he falls first" romance.
I struggled a little with Nora and her issues. She had real and honest issues in her life that she was working through, but could have used some help. It made the third act conflict a little bit rough for me. But the overall book was fun and cute and a great closed door romance to listen to while baking and cleaning and driving back and forth to basketball.
The one with this kiss cam is the sweetest romance book ever!! I listened to the audiobook and it was amazing!! I immediately fell in love with the characters. The author did a fantastic job of creating their personalities and circumstances on page to make me adore them.
The MMC is the most adorable cinnamon roll EVER!! He is now on my list of favorite book boyfriends.♥️
While this book has no 🌶️, it really didn’t need it. The storyline kept me coming back for more constantly. I finished this audiobook in 2 days!! I just constantly had my headphones in and couldn’t stop listening.
The narrator was the perfect pick for this character! Her voice was a wonderful match and her voice acting was literal perfection 😍
OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH. I listened to this in less than one day. I had to sit here and recover my heart from this book. Not because it was heartbreaking or sad, but because I am processing that this story of Duke and Nora is over. Don’t get me wrong, this is a rom-com, with the romance that makes me so happy, and the quick wit and banter that had me laughing out loud. It makes me sad because I felt a connection to them, especially to Nora and I didn’t want the book to end. The talks about money problems, how she can never get ahead, no matter how many jobs she works, or how much she saves, I feel like we can all relate to that, especially with inflation the way that it is. It was talked about in a delicate, but straightforward manner that came across as genuine and real. Nora also deals with some other heavy topics, all which were handled with grace and a deep understanding of the situations. Nora is such great and well thought out character. She astounded me, in the best way with her wit, her heart, and the way she handled everything with such poise. She felt so real, like I knew her. All I wanted to do is give her a hug.
Duke…he was just…Duke (when you read or listen to this book, you’ll understand.) He is perfectly sweet, understanding and caring. He was an equally well thought out character that was well-written. Their relationship felt real and there was *just enough* “he loves me he loves me not” that it wasn’t boring, but it wasn’t annoying. The plot was fantastic and somehow it didn’t feel like it’s been done before. It had twists and turns that I wasn’t *really* expecting and it helped keep me engaged in the audiobook. The side characters felt relevant and I could picture the world the characters were in.
I really enjoyed this novel. I will be reading it when it comes out. Thank you so much for accepting me to listen to this audio book early!
This book by Cindy Steel is absolutely darling! From a mistaken couple on a kiss cam, to a chance meeting 3 years later, it’s obvious fate has Nora and Duke in its crosshairs!
If you need a feel good sweet romance this needs to be added to your TBR! Plus there is the sweetest line at the end of the book that you are just going to have to find for yourself because I am not going to give away any spoilers! Just keep an eye out or preorder The One With a Kiss Cam today!
I normally do not read books like this. I randomly requested it and glad I did. It is great and literally made me laugh out loud. Highly suggest this book!
The One With The Kiss Cam was a quite enjoyable romcom. I loved the MC and her love interest. I was invested in their evolving friendship from the beginning, and couldn’t wait to find out how they would finally get their HEA. The MC’s experiences in life were so clear, with her childhood and taking care of her family. I loved the juxtaposition between how she grew up and how her love interest did, and how they came together as a couple was lovely. I definitely recommend this story for those who love romance and women’s fiction. The story hit the spot!
I listened to the audiobook. The female narrator did an excellent job portraying the main character and giving life to the love interest and other supporting characters. I listened at 1.75x speed which is my normal listening speed.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advanced audio copy.
This book made me laugh out loud more than once. What a delightful title! The perfect meet-cute, but also a compelling story of someone working hard for the life they want, even if they can't completely envision it yet. I'm team Coke all the way, but "falling" does make it taste better! Highly recommend for the perfect weekend/beach read!
Thank you to the author and netgalley for the audiobook! I really enjoyed this, as I have all of Cindy Steel’s books. Nora and Duke meet at a basketball game when they’re put in the kiss cam spotlight. Then ensues a night of them getting to know each other before Nora moves out of state the next day. Nora has hit a string of bad luck with money (her whole life really) and Duke is from a wealthy family. They reunite years later and Nora winds up working as an intern for Duke’s company. At first I didn’t love the instant attraction from just their initial night together, but as the book progressed I really enjoyed seeing their relationship and friendship continue and grow. I loved how well they fit together despite their opposing life circumstances. Duke is sweet in his attempts to do anything for Nora, big or small. Nora was relatable in her not wanting to accept charity and doing everything she could to work hard to get back on her feet and achieve her dreams. Overall I really enjoyed this one!! The narrator was great on audio as well!
I absolutely ADORED this book. Nora and Duke meet by chance one night when they are both at a game where they end up on the kiss cam. They share one amazing night, which only consists of a few hours, together doing things that they’ve never done before. And after that night, they never expect to see each other again…
…Until fate has other plans for them.
Can I tell you how much I think I am in love with Duke?! This man. The second that Nora comes back into his life, he knows his life is going to drastically change.
I loved everything about this book and the narrator did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life!
I. Love. This. Book. I love it so much that when I saw the audiobook on NetGalley, I knew I had to listen to it!
The narrator did a FANTASTIC job, and Duke was just as perfect in the audiobook as in the paperback.
My husband and I just got back from a long vacation, and listened to a bunch of audiobooks while driving. He liked it too, and laughed many times while listening to it.
I have enjoyed all of Cindy Steel's books, but this is by far my favorite of hers.
This was such a great listen! The main characters meet on accident and embark on an impromptu first date. After years apart, they reunite and sparks fly like no time had passed at all. It so perfectly swoon-worthy and Dean is one of the greatest book boyfriends I've read lately. He is so charismatic and had me smiling while listening to the book.
The narration of the book is great and there are a lot of funny moments. I loved it so much!
Thank you so much NetGalley for the copy of The One With The Kiss Cam by Cindy Steel. I am really happy that I got this audiobook!
If you are looking for a clean romance, Hallmark type storyline, and a girl struggling but working hard....then this is a book for you.
We begin the book with Nora going on a date through an online dating app her friends pressured her into going on. She meets a gross smelly man that is her "date". While the date is away from his seat the "Kiss Cam" lands on Nora and a stranger on the left. She waves away the camera, it leaves them alone for a minute but comes right back. They end giving the crowd what they want and they feel a spark. Nora only has one day left in Utah before she leaves to take care of her Grandma a few states away. They have one fun night but leave it at that.
The story skips forward a bit to when she has moved back to Utah. She has had quite a few struggles but is trying to right her world. That is where the story really begins.
You will love the sweet flames of romance without the smut.
Thank you for this audio. I really enjoyed it!
