Fun and educational. Beautifully illustrated title.
Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to preview this book!

this was so fun!! i was just browsing netgalley when i came across it and the cover art intrigued me so i decided to read it. the illustrations are so beautiful and i learned so many cool facts about activities in all the 50 states! this was a joy to read and the art truly put me at peace.

The first thing that caught my attention is how beautiful this cover is.
There was some great ideas in this book on how to enjoy and appreciate every state. I got a few great ideas here of trips I want to plan.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Oh this is very cute! I love travelling the US and was hoping for great tips. I might have expected more "things to do". But this is more about the illustrations (which are so pretty! I love them. They would make for great posters as well) and the background info. This would be ideal as a cute present and/or a coffee table book.

Vibrant photos depicting different activities in all 50 states, a great nonfiction book for kids. A wonderful way for them to learn about the states and what to see as a family when visiting on vacation. Well-written and illustrated one I will look into buying for the grandkids.

50 Adventures in the 50 States is full of beautiful illustrations, the map/contents page is easy to follow with each state being given its own double page spread. I love how the historical information is interspersed with fun things to do in each state from trying regional foods to outdoor activities to nature spotting there is something for everyone to try.
A fun fact filled book that is perfect for geography. If only I could visit each state to try each activity, but being based in the UK this book offers the next best thing

This is such a lovely children's book! Each state gets a two page spread with a paragraph describing an activity unique to that state, and little blurbs on the illustration provide more details. The illustrations are colorful and beautiful. I think this book will do well to inspire wanderlust and appreciation for the many diverse landscapes and experiences the United States can offer. I especially appreciate that the book ends with some suggestions of how to have an adventure close to home.
Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group – Wide Eyed Editions for gifting me with an ARC to review! All opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this book! We are a homeschooling family and are continuously looking for books that will pair well with our curriculums. We are beginning our study of the 50 states this year for geography, and this will be such a fun way to expand on our lessons. We currently use the 50 States book from this series as one of our main spines. The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful! There are so many fun and interesting facts that I had never read or heard before. I enjoy this because it typically leads my kids to ask questions and want to dig deeper into certain topics. We will definitely be purchasing this book when it is released and recommending it to others!

I don't really know what I expected, but this book left me feeling slightly disappointed and underwhelmed. I homeschool my son so I was excited to read these before purchasing hard copies. Unfortunately, they were visually overwhelming and difficult to read... and the overload of information really wasn't all that informative. The books were pretty but not right for what I was looking for.

Let’s start at the beginning. The table of contents deserves a round of applause. I love the integration of a map.
The details of fonts is so well thought out. The placement of text adds to the content and the illustrations are wonderful.
This is perfect in a classroom for researching a specific state or at home for a bedtime story.

This is my favorite of all. Each state has a unique double-page illustration that I want to hang on the wall as a poster. I am glad this book selected a unique and different location or activity to point out in each state, not just the usual iconic elements. I love that Illinois is the most famous Chicago skating ribbon. I loved discovering unique things in each of the other states. Gorgeous book and educational.
Thank you, NetGalley and Publisher for this e-arc.

I requested a temporary ARC of this from NetGalley showing a publish date in May 2024. As I started reading I realized I have read and reviewed this book previously in September 2020. I am not sure if anything has been updated but it is very much as I remember it. My original review is below.
A colorful adventure book that gives suggestions of things you can do in each of the 50 states. Each state gets its own page and description of an activity. It also includes other fun facts for the activity or area. I was excited seeing many activities that I have done in my travels including visiting caves in Missouri, walking the boardwalk in Atlantic City, fall foliage in Vermont and beach activities on both coasts. But I wished for more or better information at times. In my own state of Utah it suggested hiking a slot canyon. I was surprised it didn't mention that Utah has five national parks with beautiful red rock hiking trails. Another downside is that many of the activities would be out of the price range for many of the readers. An appeal of this book is that many of the activities you can do in your own state, such as taking a nature walk, ice skating, biking etc. I can see purchasing this for the elementary school library where I work but I doubt I would purchase it for my personal library as it isn't a book I would read and reread.

This book is perfect for our homeschooling. We are planning out some summer trips and this book has been perfect to look through the states and see which adventures we can do. It also gives some science and history facts that the kids love hearing
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this ARC

This book takes the reader through the 50 states alphabetically. Each state gets a 2-page spread with gorgeous cartoon illustrations. Within the illustrations are facts about the state and information about the kind of adventure that is suggested in the state.
This is more informational than it is a travel guide, but it's a fun way to learn something new.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. I will purchase for my library.

This colorful book is full of adventure and excitement! As you travel through each state, you are presented a unique adventure that gives you a taste of what that state has to offer. In addition to the adventure (like kayaking in Washington), you are given extra tidbits of information about the activity and life in that state (like how to tell the differences between ski trail levels in Maine). I can’t wait to add this book to our collection and to check these I souring adventures off our family bucket list.

"Not all who wander are lost." Especially not with "50 Adventures in 50 States" in their hands, let me tell you! This is superbly illustrated and informative little book, enjoyable for both children and adults. It's quite jaw-dropping, really, and just makes you long to be in the outdoor and have a lot of fun discovering all of the United States of America.

After seeing how amazing Kate Siber's National Parks book was, I had to check this one out and was not disappointed. The book introduces young readers to a real-life adventure they can have in each state of the US. I was thrilled to see that the Alabama page (my home state) features rock climbing at Cherokee Rock Village, something I've done and it was awesome - same for Georgia's Chattahoochee River whitewater rafting! The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and depict diverse families enjoying these adventures. Each page is packed with fun facts about the rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, wildlife observation, camping, and everything else the illustrations are showing. The optimism practically leaps off the page with this one, and it's a joy to read. Parents might want to be aware that giving their kids this book might result in a lot of impossible-to-grant vacation requests! However, the final page also shows "5 Adventures in Your Own Neighborhood," and if you're OK with a little aspirational vacation planning, you'll love this title for your family. It's a great way to spark interest in the great outdoors and all the fun that kids can have not tied to a screen.

a very adorable book both for children and adults! i like how the author researched a bit about every state to find unique activities to do in that area, and the illustrations are very characteristic to what they have in there. i also want to congratulate the artist for such beautiful depiction of every state, it truly feels like a small travel across the country through pages!

There were so many fun facts in this book! The pages are full of fascinating little tidbits about each state’s featured location. It highlights one interesting place in each state and really helps you get to know the place. It’s a fun read and a beautiful book to flip through. The illustrations are colorful and pretty.
Thank you for the eARC!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing for my copy of 50 Adventures in The 50 States by Kate Siber in exchange for an honest review. It publishes May 7, 2024.
I just loved the pages in this book. It is so beautiful, and incredibly chock-full of interesting tidbits. I think this would make an excellent gift for any student in your life, or child in your life. Honestly, these would make great art prints, too! Definitely would be an excellent gift, or addition to a classroom!
