Movement for everybody is an easy to use book and has some great workouts for people of every age and ability. With each section clearly photographed and explained. It makes your start to getting fit less intimidating than watching a keep fit video or going to the gym, as you can start and continue at your own pace.

This was informative and thoughtful. For example. the inclusion of people with Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and noting how sensory processing disorders can impact involvement in gyms and coaching situations. They recommend more positive social media hashtags to follow to fill one's for you page/timeline with positive community connections (including NEISvoid, MigraineChat, ActuallyAutistic, ChronicallyIll). The images were well-selected, clear, and illustrate a variety of figures and gender presentations. There are parts of the book that are text-heavy, but there are also sections with distinct headings and bullet points for better guiding one through the book.

I've had some setbacks, and I'm trying to get back in shape after multiple knee surgeries. This is exactly the kind of book I was looking for.
It starts out reminding you to take care of yourself -- food, sleep, etc. Then there is a list of several exercises, with directions and photographic illustrations. It's easy to follow along and there are variations so you can do what's comfortable.
There are also warning signs to look for so you know if an exercise isn't working right for you. This is so important to help you stay safe.

The resource and reference list alone makes this book a must read for any body that wants to take take care of their body.

It is compassionate, well written and easy to understand with pictures on every exercise. It breaks down the fundamentals of movement for health based purposes. It brings light to those in minority communities have different challenges to movement and gives you examples.

This book is a must read if you are starting any journey to take care of your body better.

This was a timely book for me. I have mobility issues, and I"m trying to eat better, but exercise has been a challenge. I loved the humor, the GREAT descriptions, and the many disabilities and conditions it takes into account. This was a wonderful, much needed book.

This is a great book for finding ways to exercise even if you have disabilities and other challenges. I appreciated the talk about all the ways the health and fitness industry can be difficult and the acknowledgment of so many barriers I’ve never seen addressed in an exercise book before (loud atmospheres in a gym can be overwhelming for autistic folks, a deaf person can have trouble following verbal instructions, a person with POTS can pass out from the heat during yoga, a person with anxiety can have difficulty with all the steps needed to get started…). There are very detailed, accessible poses with diverse models and lots of variations. I had hoped for more exercises and more detailed suggestions for fun ways to be active, but it’s a good resource.

I loved the tone of this book, it's incredibly inclusive and respectful.

It's almost like a therapy workbook for your body, and a gentle hug for your brain/trauma at the same time.

My only real complaint is that I expected a bit more from the actual exercise section, but I think this might be my misreading of the title and blurb

Overall a recommend, particularly if your body/ability has changed and you're not sure how to deal with that

My feelings for this book are split. I haven’t exercised for a long time due to health issues and I hoped Movement for Every Body would help me with exercises and ways to begin. The book has a very good variety of exercises which are explained easily and have lots of photos showing how they are done. There are journaling ideas and prompts for reflection which I found helpful. I did not enjoy the first part of the book (around a quarter) I know the whole point is to be inclusive but I found it to be the opposite. I’d rather read a book without having woke agendas thrown at me.

I thought a lot of these exercises were very helpful. The illustrations were helpful in order to really grasp how to do the movements.

Beautiful book with breathing techniques and exercises for everyone of us not just those of us lucky enough to be able to get on the floor and do 100 sit ups. This has lots of choice and variations and so many exercises for me to try sitted in a chair which I normally never find. Great book
