This was my first book but this author and I will be teaching as many more as I can get my hands on. Absolutely hilarious, spicy, light-hearted, fun, the adjectives go on and on.
An anxious werewolf accidentally coming into possession of is own cursed Vampire Succubus and the adventure begins. Somehow there's wonderful world building, drama, comedy and steamy spice all into one.
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire by Sarah Hawley is a fun continuation of the Glimmer Falls series. It's got humor, romance, some smut, and insight into someone who is constantly anxious, but trying to do it all anyway. If you like the first two books in this series, you won't want to miss this one.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC of this book.
In a new take on the vampire vs werewolf trope, Sarah Hawley introduces us to what happens when timid Ben accidentally becomes the owner of an enchanted crystal that comes with its own Vampire/Succubus who has to do anything she is told. This story talks about the reality of PTSD, Anxiety and coming into the reality of living life when you cannot control how it turns out.
I had read the first two books in the series and absolutely loved them. Sarah Hawley has such a unique style of balancing humor with deeper undertones in her contemporary romances.
This one was funny, sweet, quirky, and emotional in a very endearing way. I don't feel that the premise behind the emotional impact was as good as the last two but it was still a wildly enjoyable read. I am so grateful to have received and ARC of this book as it was one of my highly anticipated reads for this year.
I would highly recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who is interested in reading a romcom style book with dabbles of fantasy sprinkled in. You'll laugh throughout this book as you follow the antics of the "scooby gang" through Glimmer Falls.
You'll meet old enemies and discover new romances with the angsty Eleonore and cinnamon roll Ben on their journey to save Eleonore from a lifelong curse.
I do suggest reading this entire series in order to gain the full effect and impact.
I have been obsessed with Hawley’swriting since the moment I spontaneously bought her first book at target. That being said let me tell you ,this one did not disappoint!! It is absolutely incredible. I couldn’t put it down. I am completely in love with Ben and Eleanor. I think the whole book really puts in perspective how two people don’t have to be perfect in order to find love and it’ is a good example of the fact that you really just need to love you for who you are. because at the end of the day you are great , and people will see that .
Overall , amazing story and I can’t wait for her next release. Here’s to me praying for themmie’s story ❤️❤️
Thank you NetGalley and Sarah Hawley for the incredible opportunity to read an arc of your upcoming book❤️
How I LOVED this book. Glimmer Falls is one of my favorite series and the this last installment was delightful. Ben’s anxiety representation was perfect for me as a fellow anxious, and Eleonore’s protective presence made the coziest environment for the book. The romance was captivating and addictive, the plot got me hooked and the sexy scenes were steeeamy. I love this found family so much, and I hoped the series wasn’t over. Themmie definitely deserves a book, and Lilith and Kai have so much potential! Maybe someday…
Book 3 in the Glimmer Falls series and I think this one takes the cake!!!
What a beautiful paranormal romance! Ben and Eleanore were such precious characters! I felt seen with the representation of anxiety and could relate to the main characters so much throughout the story in various ways.
This will be added to my fall re-reads list! This will be the perfect cozy October read.
Such a cute and hot book wrapped in a paranormal bow. This is book 3 in the series the characters are Ben and Eleanore the sparks are off the charts. I love that it was realistic in sense of anxiety and the way the first two books characters were added in this story as well(made me happy). The books in this series are always a good read and good time. .
_A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire_ by Sarah Hawley is the third book in the _Glimmer Falls_ series and it’s steamy, magical, and has continued world building. It’s told from the perspectives of Ben, a werewolf running a successful business and who lives with anxiety, and Eleanora, a vampire succubus who has been trapped for centuries in a crystal by a witch and is forced to serve those who own the rock. One night Ben drunkenly orders the crystal Eleanora is trapped in, and while forced together at the beginning, Ben and Eleanora find out they can help each other and soon grow close. It’s a fun fantasy read and good addition to Hawley’s _Glimmer Falls_ series.
I got a quarter of the way through this book before I had to skip to the end. I so badly wanted to like this book and was ready to enjoy it but it dragged. We get set-up for an event that feels like it should be a culminating event which it isn't and it just feels like half of this book could've been scrapped. I was hoping that this book would be better than the first book in the series which I also didn't enjoy, but clearly this series isn't my cup of tea.
I just loved reading these books! The first was so much fun and I adored the romance, and it was great to be back in this world, and follow these next two couples and their stories! They were just a delight to read and I'm so glad that I picked them up!
We were introduced to Calladia and Astaroth in the first book, they're the best friend and an antagonist of the previous couple, respectively. Which means that she doesn't have the best opinion of him. Until he shows up without his memory and she has to help him. Their dynamics were so much fun to read!
I had a really great time reading Eleanor and Ben's story! The fact that he accidently buys the crystal that she's stuck in, yeah, they had a very interesting beginning, and I loved to read about them, it was just so much fun and entertaining to read!
I'm having such a great time with these characters in this world, their romances and their struggles, and they're just really delightful to read. So if we get more of this series, I will definitely be picking them up, they're a blast to read!
These were really excellent reads and I can't wait for more by Sarah Hawley!
I could absolutely move to Glimmer Falls and live there forever. Sarah Hawley returns with yet another SEXY and FUN romp that keeps you turning the pages. I will absolutely read anything she writes.
This book is everything I want from a RomCom! The MCs are likable, the chemistry is good, and the story flows nicely. I have not read the other 2 in this series, but didn't feel lost in the story or world that Sarah Hawley has created.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the free digital ARC in exchange for an honest review
Oh my GOD this was so much fun!!!! So delightfully bizarre, super sweet, and absolutely hilarious 💜 I seriously cackled my way through this whole book it was so unpredictable and wildly entertaining. I would read a hundred more books in this series if I could 🙌
I havent read the rest of the series but I found this book enjoyable. Eleanora and Ben have good chemistry and the dynamic between vampire/werewolf was fun. I will go back and read the other two books for sure.
Sarah Hawley continues the Glimmer Falls series in a truly magical installment. When overworked, overthinking werewolf Ben accidently buys a magical trinket online, he thinks it's probably a hilarious scam, but when the cheap plastic gem arrives in the mail, it comes with a surprise - a feisty vampire-succubus assassin who's been ensnared for over 600 years!
Ben is determined to help Eleonore gain her freedom, but he just has to juggle his plant nursery, opening up a café venue next door, helping his sister take down the current corrupt mayor, and shifting every full moon! With fun pop-culture references, snarky banter, and fun side characters, this is a delightfully fun, magical romp. Not for the serious, grumpy, and dull reader!
I just reviewed A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire by Sarah Hawley. #AWerewolfsGuidetoSeducingaVampire #NetGalley
3.75 rounded up
thank you netgalley and berkeley pub for this ARC in exchange for my review.
i love books where the female main character is less soft than the male main character, and this book is basically what it's like to date harvey from stardew valley (but he's a werewolf). i enjoyed the story between eleonore and harv-- ben and that it had some layers to it. it included themes about not spreading yourself too thin, boundaries, and definitely consent.
the reason why i am giving this 3.75 stars instead of 4 is because i felt myself getting bored around 60-70% in. however, i can tell the author has done a lot of progressing in their writing since the first book in this series (i did not read the second).
i recommend for those who like spicy books with a grumpy x sunshine dynamic, found family, and paranormal romance.
Do you like Jessica Rabbit as I dream of Jeanie vibes then this book is for you! I don’t read a lot of paranormal books with this much comedy, but this book had some very funny parts. This is the third book of the series and it isn’t necessary to read them all, but there are multiple side characters that will show up from the previous 2 books. The characters were fun, the town was magical and the dialogue was quirky. Occasionally the relationship between the MMC and FMC gets derailed by the mayoral running plot, I just want more Ben and Eleanore and more time in his cute shop and her trying to figure out this decade.
Sarah Hawley's books have always hit their mark in my opinion. I loved A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon which made me want to read this one. I thought that A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire was so much better. There's something about a vampire x werewolf enemies to lovers story that just tickles my brain in the right way. This was such a cute and romantic read.
