This book was an absolute delight.
I love a good vampire and werewolf romance, and while I will say this book leaned far more into the romance aspect than Eleanore and Ben’s supernatural nature it was still a fun addition to the genre.
The banter was fun. The spice was well-timed. Eleanore’s out-of-time antics were funny and not overdone, and Ben was an absolute sweetie.
The plot was mostly predictable but the cast carried the book and kept me interested. I haven’t read any of the previous books in this series but now I want to go back and check them out.
I was super excited to read this new paranormal romance because I love werewolf romance books and Sarah Hawley is an author I had never read before. I liked that I could jump into this series without having read the previous two books though some readers may feel differently and want to start from the beginning to learn more about the world of Glimmer Falls and the couples mentioned in this one.
I loved that Ben, the werewolf, wasn’t your stereotypical alpha male werewolf. He knitted, dealt with anxiety on the regular and was just this very thoughtful guy once he became aware of the curse that made Eleanor, the vampire succubus, do whatever the owner of the crystal she was tied to ordered. That being said, I think he was almost too nice at times, overextending himself in helping with his sister and taking things VERY slowly with Eleanor.
Eleanor was interesting being both a vampire AND succubus. I liked her backstory of being tied to the Witch in the Woods for so many years but it took a long time to really make any headway with that mystery that I started to lose interest since her one-woman shows weren’t grabbing me. It was cute how she was trying to get up to speed on the “modern times” and kept referencing Star Trek but I kind of lost steam with this couple as a whole.
Overall, I think Hawley is a terrific writer and I like that she pulled a lot of different storylines into this paranormal romance but it just didn’t grab me as much as I had hoped.
Thank you @BerkleyRomance #Berkley #BerkleyPartner for the free book and to @PRHAudio for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.
This is such a fun series! Glimmer Falls in a magical town with all kinds of creatures. For this third book, we focus on Ben, a werewolf who owns the Plant Emporium. After a wedding where he feels alone, he buys a possessed piece of plastic on a lark on eBay. Only, it really does contain Eleanora, a vampire succubus.
Eleanora is an absolutely hilarious character with her love of Star Trek references, her keen desire to learn all she can through Google, and her fun with experimental theater. But the really fun parts of this book are balanced by the trauma she has experienced being trapped for 600 years.
I loved Ben and Eleanora together. They were so well matched and helped each other so well. They had amazing chemistry and lots of steam (as you might expect when one is a succubus). And the plot points were just right.
Helen Laser does so well with all the different voices and accents. I double checked that there really was just one narrator. I absolutely recommend the audio format for this book.
Thank you so much to Berkeley Romance, Netgalley, and PRH Audio for the free advanced copies! All thoughts and opinions are still my own.
I have really enjoyed this series of quirky small town paranormal beings. This is set in the same mystical small town where a huge variety of paranormal beings live and thrive.
This 3rd installment follows the best friend and coworker of the heroine from book 1. He is a shy werewolf who doesn't love being a werewolf. He prefers his quiet controlled life owning a plant store.
But when everyone around him is settling down, he begins to feel lonely. And in a drunk state, orders a plastic amulet that supposedly holds the perfect girlfriend.
Turns out the stone does hold someone - a feisty, vengeful vampire succubus who just wants her freedom. And maybe some revenge on the witch who trapped her.
This has the same humor and lightheartedness of the first two books. It's quirky and silly and overall just a fun book to read.
Unfortunately this was my least favorite of the group. And I think part of that had to do with the audiobook. The narrator did an... odd... accent for the heroine that took me out of the story each and every time. It was too much in my opinion and it really impacted my enjoyment and attachment to the heroine.
Plus I felt like this story just dragged out longer than it needed to with a few too many plot points. Not only are we following the entrapment of the heroine, but the hero is also helping his sister run for mayor, as well as track down the witch, as well work through is busy schedule, as well as...
And I felt like it took away from the romance itself. Since it meant less time with them together and more time watching them work on other people's problems.
While it's not my favorite of the series, I do think that this is a fun series worth picking up. The humor and lighthearted aspect makes it a fun take of paranormal romance. And each of the romances are really sweet.
And I'm hoping we get at least one more book for the final person in the friend group!
This is the third book in an adorable magical series. I have loved all 3. This genre is tailor made for me. It’s the sweet spot between a fantasy and a contemporary romance. I love anything withy, vampiric, or with werewolves. This was a fun read and light hearted that made it so enjoyable. I highly recommend this series for anyone who loves a spicy little paranormal romance.

A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire (Glimmer Falls, Book 3) by Sarah Hawley
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Pages: 448 / Genre: Paranormal Romance
🥳#HappyPubDay!🎉
Ben is a lonely, sensitive werewolf who drunkenly buys an enchanted stone which houses a vampire succubus on eBay. Eleanor is that vampire succubus and she’s beautiful, fierce, and hellbent on killing the witch who cursed her into the stone and has been using her as a personal assassin for the last 600 years. As different as they both are, they’re also perfect for each other. He shows her kindness she hasn’t felt in a very long time while she protects him from being taken advantage of and soothes his anxiety disorder.
This forced proximity romance between opposites is hot hot hot! A fun storyline with interesting characters and lots of paranormal spice. I’m getting to see the vampire attraction thing now. Interesting!
This is the third book in the Glimmer Falls series, but you can read it as a standalone. It uses the same characters and setting and mentions some past events, but the main focus is on this couple.
Thank you, @NetGalley, @BerkleyPub, and @MsSarahHawley for my gifted copy.

I’ve been enjoying the romances happening in Glimmer Falls and was excited to dive into A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire by Sarah Hawley. This is the third book in the series and it’s filled with humor, suspense, and delicious banter.
Plant lover and werewolf, Ben Rosewood, turns his life upside down when he drunkenly bids on, and wins a magical crystal on eBay. When it shows up, he finds himself in possession of a vampire succubus. Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux has been trapped in the crystal for centuries. She is cursed to obey whoever possesses it. The tale that unfolds was fast-paced, entertaining and adorkable.
I loved Ben’s Plant Emporium with a new coffee shop and soon to be theater. Ben’s been living a quiet, perhaps uneventful life as he accomplishes his goals and helps others. Maybe a little too much, as he is feeling stretched. Eleanora shakes things up, and I loved the interaction between the two.
Eleanora agrees to help Ben by performing on stage and Ben agree’s to help her break the curse. Along the way, things get complicated, especially since Eleanora is under a curse. I loved watching these two grow into a couple, fumble and find themselves.
Of course, we see the previous couples and get updates. Ben and Eleanora’s quest to free her took us to some familiar places and trouble ensues. Hawley’s characters are ones you grow to care about and she wraps the tale in swoons and laughter.
I am assuming this was a trilogy, but would welcome more stories set in this world and town. Perfect for readers looking for supernatural small-town romances filled with humor and happily ever afters.
Thanks to Netgalley and Berkley for providing me with an early copy of this book. Below is my honest review.
Sarah Hawley's A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a delightful blend of humor, romance, and paranormal fun. This installment in the Glimmer Falls series introduces us to Ben, an anxious werewolf with a penchant for plants, and Eleonore, a centuries-old vampire succubus trapped in a crystal.
A Match Made in the Supernatural
The premise alone is enough to pique anyone's interest. Ben's accidental purchase of a cursed crystal, housing the feisty Eleonore, sets the stage for a whirlwind romance. Hawley's ability to balance the comedic elements with genuine emotional depth is impressive. Ben's struggles with anxiety are handled with sensitivity, and Eleonore's centuries of pent-up frustration are both relatable and entertaining.
A Charming Small Town World
Glimmer Falls continues to be a charming backdrop for Hawley's stories. The familiar characters from previous books add depth and humor to the narrative. The author's knack for creating quirky and lovable supernatural beings shines through.
A Few Nips and Bites
While the book is undeniably enjoyable, it's not without its flaws. Some plot points feel rushed, and the pacing could have been slightly better. Additionally, the romance between Ben and Eleonore develops rapidly, which might not satisfy readers who prefer a slower burn.
Overall, A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a lighthearted and entertaining read. It's perfect for fans of paranormal romance who enjoy a healthy dose of humor and quirky characters. Hawley's writing style is engaging, and her world-building is imaginative. If you're looking for a fun escape, this book is definitely worth checking out. I can't wait to continue reading more in this series!
This series is so refreshing and sweet, and our much-awaited story for Ben is no different.
Ben is a glasses-wearing plant daddy werewolf, and maybe his life needs some changing up.
Whelp, getting a crystal possessed by vampire succubus Eleonore on eBay would do that!
Eleonore is a little stabby (she wants revenge against a certain witch), whereas reserved Ben desperately wants to keep the peace. Maybe not go to jail.
This brings about a highly entertaining story that’s totally opposites-attract, and it works so well! Ben and Eleonore balance each other out.
If our vampire succubus can trust anyone, it’s Ben. And if anyone can drag Ben out of his safe shell, it’s Eleonore.
If you like more than a little magic with your rom-com, spice, wit, and a few nerdy pop culture references, you need this book in your life!
I highly recommend for a truly fun read.
"People rarely tried to seduce Ben—and when they did, they certainly didn't open with threatening to eat his organs."
You all should know by now that when I love a series, I am in it for the long haul. Sarah Hawley’s Glimmer Falls series is no different. I’ve been enchanted with this small, fictional town in the PNW since my first introduction. A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire is both hilariously charming and a swooningly romantic. I refuse to believe that this is the final installment to the series, so just leave me alone while I sit in my state of denial.

Let’s talk about the characters of A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire. First up, we have our werewolf, Ben. Not only is he the most remorseful werewolf that I’ve encountered in a paranormal romance novel, but he also is incredible selfless and genuinely a very good boy ™. He also had the hilarious (mis)fortune of getting a little bit too friendly with adult drinks at a wedding and using an online auction website to order himself a potential new girlfriend who is currently ensconced in a magical crystal.
"Ben restrained a whimper as his heart rate spiked. Her bloodthirstiness shouldn't be sexy. It really shouldn't. But she was wearing thigh holsters, for goodness' sake, and his fight-or-flight impulse was expressing itself in weird ways."

You may be asking yourself who would be in that crystal? Obviously, it’s our girl Eleonore. I adore Eleonore. She’s a lover who has been made to be a fighter. Mystically tied to a witch for centuries, Eleonore finds herself newly bound to Ben. As a vampire succubus she is magically obligated to implicitly obey the owner of the crystal. Thus the hilarity and swoon begins. Eleonore only modern references stem from the 1960’s, and she’s got a real thirst for revenge and our guy Ben.
I absolutely loved just how far Sarah Hawley explored the emotions between Ben and Eleonore. The drama that unfolds when one person holds the (in this case literally) power over another can ruin dynamics in a relationship. Having Ben embrace himself in an authentic way and Eleonore’s struggle with her need for revenge amongst a plethora of other hijinks, cameos from other characters in previous books, and quippy puns that had me giggling nonstop.
"With so much time spent in a fog, it's not like I experienced the extra few hundred years in real time. And now I have hot showers, Star Trek, and my PADD." There was a pause before she murmured, "And you."
A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire is spicy, swoony, and gives the nerds a chance to shine. I’m here for more nerd-core. I guarantee you’ll love and adore Ben and Eleonore’s romance as much as I do. As luck would have it, A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire is available everywhere today so RUN don’t walk to your nearest favorite retailer and grab your copy ASAP! Happy Release Day, Sarah!
This series isn’t my usual fare. I prefer romance as a side note to the fantasy and thus is fantasy as a side note to the romance. They’re fun though. I finished this one in a single sitting. Likable male lead who’d obviously be a catch for any sensible woman. Sweet temper, family and friends focused, successful business…. And yet untaken in his 30s. Obviously this must be fixed. In fair warning the cover art for this series will mislead you as to the amount of steam. It’s mostly plot but the author leaves nothing to the imagination.
are you in need of paranormal spicy romance that has the coziest vibes?? definitely give A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire by @mssarahhawley a go!
I finished this ARC last week and it was so cute!! the setting feels like stars hollow meets mystic falls and has the best autumnal romcom-y feel to it. the story itself was really entertaining and the dialogue was meaningful while still remaining lighthearted.
the relationship between the two main characters is everything. they’re unlike any couple I’ve read about before which was super refreshing. There’s Ben, a werewolf plant daddy with the softest most caring heart who adores knitting. Then there’s Eleanora, a vampire succubus assassin who knows nothing of the modern world and sees everything and everyone as a potential threat.
this story is full of hilarious moments but has a deeper undertone to it as well. seeing how Ben and Eleanora supported each other through anxiety, anger, and past trauma was so beautiful to read. the dynamic between them is *chefs kiss*🤌🏻✨

I didn’t realize until after reading this book that there are two other books in the series about the other couples featured in this book. I loved reading about them and the storyline was easy to follow without any prior knowledge. I’m excited to read about them next!!
Thank you to @netgalley and @berkleypub for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.🫶🏻
A Werewolf's Guide To Seducing A Vampire is book 3 in the Glimmer Falls Series but can totally stand on its own. I didn't read book 1 and since my book memory is so bad, I barely remember book 2.
If you are a fan of paranormal romance, you have to check it out. The characters are FANTASTIC! The humor is LOL funny throughout. The sex scenes are spicy hot.
I especially loved Eleonora, like a fish out of water trying to learn the current ways of the world.
I love this series so much. I love paranormal romances but these ones have been so fun and the couples are 🔥. The storyline in this one was good and held my interest and I loved the couple. They were so cute together and I loved them both!
While we've met Ben in previous books in the series, I don't think it's necessary to have read them before diving into this book. It will help keep track of secondary characters to have read the other books.
Ben is fairly content in his life. He has good friends, a great family, and a business that's expanding. He could use someone to fall in love with though. And the wedding that opens this book makes him especially maudlin. Which is how he ends up buying a plastic rock that supposedly contains a vampire succubus. For 99 cents (plus shipping), why not?
Eleanora has been trapped in that plastic rock off and on for over 600 years. She knows a little bit about the real world since the witch who imprisoned her, Isobel, lets her out every once in awhile. Mostly to sic Eleanora on Isobel's enemies but there have been opportunities to learn more about the real world. Still, it's been nearly 60 years since she was last out. But her new owner, Ben, seems like a nice guy. Which is very confusing since this not what she's used to. She's certainly attracted to the man though and that is helping while she tries to navigate the contemporary world and free herself from the stone.

Sarah Hawley COOKED.
Oh my god!!! Eleanora and Ben are my favs!!
Seeing Ben get his own book was so fulfilling. When I started this series, I knew I was more than ready for his book and I was exactly right.
This couple actually means so much to me, Ben is an anxious werewolf and Eleanora is your grumpy mistrustful vampire succubus. I enjoyed their chemistry and their story.
"Dick biting"... is something that actually GAGGED me.
Eleanora getting justice was so deserved, she enjoys so much love and joy and Ben gives her exactly that. I love myself a man that not only is in tune with her own emotions but the emotions of those around him.
I really thought it was interesting to see Eleanora's character development into not only society but her own personality. It was so great to see her grow confident and loving within her on skin.
I am thrilled for you guys to read this! If you love werewolves, vampires, steamy and hilarious content then this is the book for you!!
This book was a nice blend of cozy romance and paranormal fun. Ben, the socially awkward werewolf with a heart of gold, and Eleanor, the strong yet vulnerable vampire, create a dynamic that's both endearing and refreshingly different from similar genres. While the story is filled with charming moments and a slow-burning romance, I felt like there were some pacing issues towards the end. The storyline was definitely fun and I can’t wait to check out more books within the series!
A sweet and anxious werewolf looking for his soulmate finds his hands full when he drunkenly bids on a rock that was said to contain a vampire succubus girlfriend in it actually comes true and now the very sexy and terrifying vampire succubus is living with him. Ben Rosewood is a werewolf who is happy with his life, from his thriving plant emporium to his anxiety disorder... the only thing is he wishes he wasn't single. After attending his best friend's wedding and going home and drunkenly bidding on and winning a supposedly-possessed crystal on Ebay that contains a vampire succubus in it. Yet to his surprise it arrives and out comes Elenore Bettencourt-Deverux, a deadly, gorgeous vampire succubus who is determined to kill the witch who stuck her in the crystal and forced her to obey any order from the possessor of the rock. Elenore would rather claw out Ben's heart and eat it if she could than take an order from her new prison warden... except Ben is genuinely confused and shocked to find Elenore in his life. Ben's sweet and caring nature might finally crack Elenore's walls, that is if she can seduce him into letting her into his own heart. Elenore wants revenge but after being trapped in the crystal for so long she is definitely out of touch with the current world. Ben is determined to help free Elenore from her spell while dealing with his own crush on her and his werewolf shifting that he can't stand... oh and also working on helping his sister run for mayor. Two people who are so used to doing things for others finally find themselves opening their hearts up to the one person who could understand them and be the perfect match for them... if only they could break Elenore's curse! This was such a cute read and addition to the series. I loved this couple and just how perfectly matched they were to each other. Elenore and Ben are two sides of the same coin, Elenore is forced to do what people want and Ben runs himself ragged trying to do everything for everyone else, yet when they are together they finally have someone who will take care of them and prioritize their needs. It was a really cute read and I have loved reading this series so much. I hope there are more books set in this universe and series and I will absolutely be reading and recommending them!!

This was such a fun and cozy story! This is perfect for the fall time when you want to cuddle up with some popcorn and hot cocoa (or blood...) and read about a small town with paranormal residents.
I had a lot of fun reading this one and I can't wait to dive in to the rest of the series!
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire was a really enjoyable read.
I appreciated how the author reversed the traditional power dynamic between theses characters, with Eleanor being a strong, vulnerable, and intimidating presence in the relationship. Ben was also a great character, a gentle and anxious soul residing in a big wolf's body, always trying to make things easier for Eleanor. The story had a sweet, slow-burning quality to it, and by the end, I found myself really rooting for Eleanor and Ben to find happiness together.
The town of Glimmer Falls and its quirky paranormal inhabitants added a lot of charm to the story. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the other books in this series.
