This book was an absolute delight!
A charming werewolf, too busy to focus on his love life, finds himself in a wild situation after drunkenly purchasing a possessed crystal on eBay. This crystal holds a succubus-vampire named Eleanora, and neither of them could have anticipated this twist.
Together, they set off on a quest to unravel the mystery of the possession and attempt to free Eleanora from her 600-year captivity.
The story is hilarious, sweet, and perfectly heartwarming, making it an ideal fall read. Although it's part of a series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone book.
It always makes me so happy to go to Glimmer Falls and A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire was just such a treat! Werewolf Ben is expanding his business, he has great friends, but his anxiety is another story, and his family wants to have him settled—so on a drunken whim, he orders a supposedly possessed crystal, and his life is flipped upside down when out of the crystal comes vampire Eleanora. I loved every second of this. There is so much depth to both of these characters and the presentation of mental health is just so so good. The banter is witty, the characters are interesting and sexy, the community is amazing, and the romance is so good. Ben is just adorable, he’s so kind and my heart went out to his people pleasing tendencies. And Eleanora! She’s is feisty and protective and I just loved her. Genuinely there was not a part of this book I didn’t love. It is romantic and funny and genuine and the magic was fun and bright. Loved this book!
Sarah Hawley's books are intensely funny, thoughtful, and lovely. You really get why these characters suit one another--and you really see them think through why and how they care for one another. I will read these forever.

I absolutely loved this book, the small-town cozy vibes mixed with the supernatural world is everything I love in a book. Add in a bit of spice and it makes the book an auto-buy. I had not read any stories from this author before and I must say if the other books are anything like this one then I will be adding them to my TBR.
Ben Rosewood is the Werewolf MMC. I think he was very relatable in his thoughts and actions when he was anxious, as a person who also suffers from pretty bad social anxiety, his character felt like looking in a mirror at times. He is a gentlemanly werewolf who happens to like gardening and knitting. I would describe Ben as the ultimate caretaker, he wanted to do everything for everyone.
Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux is the vampire succubus FMC. She is funny, not that her character was trying to be funny, she just was due to the differences in knowledge and cultural norms from before she lived with the Witch in the Woods versus modern times. I loved watching her learn about the modern world. She actually did a few things that made me laugh out loud. I was practically salivating for the potential spice between her and Ben because a vampire succubus is going to make for some interesting encounters.
The side characters: There isn't a single one I didn't like. They all had full robust personalities that I would read about any day. (which it looks like there are more books in the series so some of them probably either have books or will have books). Glimmer Falls seems like a place that holds endless possibilities, and hopefully many more stories to come.
I 1000% recommend this to all my paranormal romance readers, it has spice, small town cozy vibes, and an intriguing plot. I think readers who enjoy books by C.M. Nascosta, Ami Wright, Lyonne Riley, Lillian Lark, and Ashley Bennett will really love this book.
Also thank you to #NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Thank you Berkley Romance and PRH Audio for my gifted copies. All opinions are my own.
This series is just so much fun! I think I’d read about all of our favorite characters in Glimmer Falls forever!
We met Ben briefly in the first two books, but I really appreciated diving more into his life as he meets Eleonora. He accidentally purchases her as a joke from an online shop. They have a pretty rocky start, but learn to trust and eventually fall for each other, all while trying to free Eleanora from the witch’s curse.
This seemed a little steamier than the first two books and had me blushing at times. It also seemed to touch on some deeper issues with mental health and taking care of yourself. I also loved the campaign and seeing Ben’s sister run for office.
I mostly listened to the audiobook and adored Helen Laser’s narration.
Third book in the Glimmer Falls series. I loved catching up with previous characters and seeing the relationship build between Ben and Eleonore. It was fun reading about how Eleonore adapted to the 21st century and loved all the Star Trek references.
There could have been a weird power dynamic in this storyline, but it was written in a way that addressed that concern.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire to come out August 13, 2024.
I had mid expectations for this book based off the excerpt and description. I’m glad I was so wrong.
“Every relationship needs a soft one and a stabby one.” The werewolf MMC is delightfully introverted, anxiety riddled and gentlemanly. The vampire succubus FMC is blunt, has trust issues (rightfully earned) and is powerful. Also, she loves Star Trek and is into experimental theater. Yay for sexy nerds.
The mmc gets overly drunk at a wedding , goes home feels the inevitable loneliness after being single at a wedding. Then he drunkenly buys a cheap plastic crystal that hold a sexy vampire succubus for .99c on eBay. It arrives two weeks later and to his surprise is not a joke purchase but is a real trapped sexy vampire succubus who must obey his every word.
I haven’t read the first two in this series of interconnected stand-alones. However, if they were as charming as this one I will have to go back and read them.
The sub plot of the sister’s campaign for mayor, was a minor drag and made me want to skip through. With that said, the rest of the book I cherished every moment.
If you’ve read enough adult romantasy and paranormal fiction you can tell when the spice is thrown in very gratuitously. Not necessarily for the plot. In this book it is NOT gratuitous and feels very organic to the plot and story line. It is PIPING hot. 🥵 After all, the FMC is half succubus feeding off sexual energy so the author delivered.
I received an eARC of this book to review and all opinions expressed are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley publishing for this opportunity.
This was SUCH a sweet little romcom! I haven't read any of the other books in the series but I'm big into vampires and werewolves right now and this hit the mark for me.
Everything was developed well. I thoroughly enjoyed how thoughtful it all felt. I also love a sharp fmc and a mushy mmc.
I was so excited to read this book when I learned it was Ben’s story. Ben was a secondary character in the previous books in the series, and I couldn't wait to learn more about him. He's such a sweetheart and a perfect complement to the more wild Eleanor.
For years, Ben has wanted to find love, but he almost feels unworthy of it. I thought the author did a great job of showing the many ways in which anxiety affects people, and I totally related to Ben’s feelings of insecurity and self-doubt. I also thought Ben’s views on being a werewolf were really interesting. He’s a gentle soul who likes to be in control, and seeing how this transition affects him made me feel for him. I love how Eleanor understands him on such a deep level, and how she unthinkingly does things to support him. It was very touching and made her even more endearing.
After being trapped for decades, Eleanor has to adjust to a lot of changes. Omg, She’s so comical and awkward and unapologetic, and I adored her and her stabby, impulsive personality. At times, Ben doesn’t really know what to do with Eleanor, but he never expects her to be anything but herself.
Eleanor and Ben have a unique opposites-attract romance. Where Ben is steady and sweet, Eleanor is a chaotic loose cannon. She is absolutely hilarious! And they balance each other well. They are so supportive and understanding of each other, and their chemistry is off the charts.
The author also does a great job of creating a vivid and immersive setting, and I want to live in Glimmer Falls. It’s a unique town of paranormals where you never know what might happen. Ben's friend group is fabulous too, and I love that the characters from the first two books are also in this one. There are also some new characters, and I'm eager to learn more about them, especially Ben's sister. She's a force!
I thought this was an entertaining and engrossing read. It’s fun and funny and spicy, and it’s a fabulous addition to the series. This felt a bit darker than the first two books, especially since Eleanor was held against her will for so long and Ben struggles with anxiety, but it’s balanced well with lighter, more humorous moments and a swoon-worthy romance.
Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a hilarious, fun and entertaining whirlwind.
I just had the best time with this book. A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is my first Hawley book and I have to tell you, I'm obsessed. This is the third book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. I will admit that the first chapter there are people mentioned that you felt like you could know their back story but I'm promising you that you don't need to know it and won't even think about it past that.
Ben is the perfect nerdy, cinnamon roll werewolf who will just have you melting from his sweetness. But for me that star is Eleanora. She is a sassy, wildcat vampire who has been under the spell of a witch for 600 years. Of course she is going to be full of spit and fire. Think genie but with a crystal and not wishes but anything you command.
Add in all the other characters, most of them paranormal and funny as well, you will be laughing the entire time. I truly did have so much fun with this and I CANNOT wait to go back and read the first two books plus anything she writes in the future.
I'm telling you.....PICK UP THIS BOOK......NOW
Words cannot describe how excited I was to receive this arc! I am a huge fan of this series and the writer. As soon as I downloaded this I blew off my whole schedule for this book. It did not disappoint. The story of a burnt out millennial werewolf who accidentally buys a witch. The story is comedic genius and will keep you glued. Love how the author incorporated the previous stories and characters.
Looking for something comedic, romantic, and fantastical with a bit of drama? This is definitely what you want. The characters are lovable and pretty funny, and the story played out like a sitcom in my head.
Loved this! So cute! Was kicking my feet and blushing so many times throughout this book! Excited to put this on display for Halloween!!
DNF at 49%. It’s perfectly fine, but I’m just not in the mood for it at the moment. It felt like a chore to read when I’d rather be reading someone else.
I had such a fun time with this book. I found myself giggling constantly. This was an absolute treat. I finished it on one sitting because I was just enjoying myself so much. This author knows how ro wrote a page turner. I even went back and read the previous books in the series because of how much of a good time I had with this book, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I don't want to stay vague, but this book is definitely one that is so much more fun going in a little blind.
This book was given to me by NetGalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.
Cozy romantasy. Cute cast of characters. It’s the third book in a series, but I didn’t read the first two and it worked as a stand alone.
A fun read returning back to Glimmer Falls. This time you have Ben, an anxiety-ridden werewolf, and Eleanora, a centuries-old vampire succubus. How do they meet? Ben buys the crystal to which Eleanora is bound for about 99 cents off of eBay one drunken evening. He accidentally summons her, and their story begins. Ben and Eleanora truly do bring the best out in each other, and the supporting characters are fantastic. Yes, this is book 3 in a series but it could be read as a stand-alone. You may not catch how other couples have ended up together, but it takes nothing away from the plot. Kind of a rom-com in some ways, although Ben and Eleanora do have a pretty serious misunderstanding towards the end.
This book wasn’t necessarily for me. I was very intrigued at first but it just didn’t click for me. I do think it will appeal to a lot of people but the comedic aspect wasn’t my style.

What a great end to our time in Glimmer Falls!
Ben was an absolute soft boi and I couldn’t get enough of him. Eleanora is a trekkie succubus/vampire who has spent most of her life trapped in a crystal which leads to lots of funny moments of her being soooo out of touch with how life is in the present day.
If you’re a fan of paranormal romance, you will love this one. There are tons of paranormal/supernatural elements that compliment the moments of tenderness and sweetness perfectly.
If that doesn’t draw you in, just know that there is vampire 🍆-biting. 🔥😉
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a delightful blend of whimsy, heart, and humor. The Glimmer Falls series offers the perfect escape into a world of fantasy and romance. I find myself never wanting it to end.
