This was a fun cozy, adventurous, fantasy rom-com! The story follows ben, an anxious overthinking werewolf. And eleonor, a half vampire succubus, who is chaotic and violent and everything Ben isn’t. I throughly enjoyed. Found family, curses, a little bit of spice and a whole lot funny!

I am obsessed with the entire series. I have enjoyed every single one for different reasons, but this one, A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire, was the best one of them all for me.

I enjoyed how Ben, as a werewolf, was portrayed. I rarely have read a book where there are sensitive and supportive men. Ben's character portrayed perfectly someone with extreme social anxiety but is extremely supportive to all of those he loves no matter what and then proceeded to have an internal meltdown and embraced his emotions. I wanted to dive in and give Ben a well-deserved hug. I also enjoyed how very open-minded and forward Eleanora was, even with how horrible her life was treated. Honestly, I would be even more stabby and unforgiven if it was me. Eleanora did her absolute best to move forward from her mistreated past. I did not want this to end. I'm looking forward to more of what Sarah Hawley will bring.

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for this ARC.

The Glimmer Falls series just keeps getting better and better!

A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire continues the magical love adventures in this paranormal community. Our resident, nerdy introverted werewolf, Ben, summons a wildly attractive vampire through a drunken purchase on eBay. Eleanore has been locked inside the plastic stone for 600 years, and is unfamiliar with the world she's arrived. Their forced proximity ignites attraction from these opposites.

Both battle separate anxieties and trauma's, drawing them closer together. Ben commits to freeing Eleonore from her imprisonment in the stone and she showers him in kindness just like he's given over to the whole town. This love story was hilarious, and a absolute delight. I couldn't help but root for their happily ever after. I enjoyed visiting with the previous characters

Thank you, Berkley

4.25. I decided to read the first two books in the Glimmer Falls series for the added context and I am so glad I did. I love this world and this series so much. They are so quirky and charming. I found myself giggling out loud many times. I heavily related to Ben’s internal monologue and being an anxious introvert. This book does have about 20 too many references to Star Trek for my personal liking, but that was easy enough to look past. Thank you NetGalley and Berkley for this free eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I will say this is not my typical romance fantasy book I go with. It hit all the right tropes but it felt very rom com. I like hardships with dark themes and maybe this genuinely wasn't the book to read with that mindset. The characters do go through their own hardships, I genuinely loved the MMC with his anxiety and the small voice telling the FMC that everything would go wrong. That was relatable to the characters for me and provided respite from the banter and long inner monologues that I understand was to build the relationship and plot, it just felt very staged. The spice was good and I did finish it happy with the conclusion. If you love rom coms with a hint of fantasy (Ali Hazelwood with fantasy) then this is the book for you, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I actually loved Ben. The sweetest giant werewolf who hates shifting and has anxiety! And Eleanora was sweet too! She was the exact opposite to Ben in the best way. They were really the only thing I liked about this one.

I was honestly skimming through most of the book. I didn’t find anything really noteworthy, besides Ben and Eleanora. I wanted to like this series so much and I just DIDN’T.

Thanks to Berkley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The title of this book was what drew me in. I am a big sucker for paranormal romance. I was glad to see a quiet MMC and a bold FMC; it was pretty refreshing. Ben and Eleanora were the opposite of each other. He is a werewolf while she is a vampire; he loves knitting, and she loves threatening to eat people's liver; he loves taking care of plants, and she loves throwing knives. But you know what they say: opposites attract, and that's precisely what happened. This book can be read as a stand-alone book, but there are mentions of the previous characters in the earlier books. Even though Ben and Eleanora had character flaws, they each balanced each other out.

A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is a solid 3. I had strong feelings about the first Glimmer falls book, A WItch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon, but I decided to give this title a try because it seemed like the central characters, Ben and Eleonore, were far enough removed from the dynamics of the original characters to be OK. The writing hadn't been my problem with the first book, but the secondary characters who I found to be simply awful. Thankfully, that wasn't the case this time around.

Ben is a werewolf out of place. He doesn't like shifting, he's got anxiety, he's an introvert in a family of extroverts, but he will do whatever he can for his loved ones. After Mariel's wedding to OZ, a drunken internet search leads to him buying a stone that claims to have a vampire/succubus hybrid bound to it. Receiving the EBay package introduces him to Eleonore who is in fact, all of the things the listing said: sexy, a vampire/succubus hybrid, a honed assassin, and bound to obey the owner of the stone. Eleonore enters the world after having been 'put away' in the late '60s. The world has passed her by, she's behind on the world, and she's stuck with this strange man who holds her free will. After Ben's sister announces that she's running for mayor against Cynthia Cunnington, she taps Ben to run the logistics of her campaign, ignoring that Ben is working towards the grand opening of the expansion of his plant emporium and actually co-opting the event into her first rally. When an outing in public goes horribly, Ben insists that Eleonore is a performer in town for the grand opening and unknowingly gives her a binding order to make his lie a truth. This sets Eleonore against him as she thinks that he's just another person who values her for her forced subservience. Once they work through things, they begin to understand one another and delve into a relationship revolving around autonomy, consent, and how the make the choices they make effect themselves even after they're done with everyone else.

Ben and Eleonore both believe themselves deeply flawed, but definitely interested in working on themselves. Eleonore is tired of being a hired knife and wants to fit in with this new world and work past the trauma that the witch in the woods inflicted, Ben wants to have better balance in his life as he piles too much onto himself and fears letting his loved ones down. They see one another's needs in a way others don't and work to meet them. Eleonore sees the way people take advantage of Ben's kindness but still accuse him of not doing enough (Gigi), how he needs someone to care for him and does so, and brings out a more aggressive side of him that feels freeing for him and she enjoys greatly. Ben takes care to bring Eleonore up to speed on the 21st century and commits to helping her free herself. He understands that her situation is unique and works very hard to make it as comfortable as he can for her even as he could control her at any time,

The secondaries from previous books, Calladia, Themmie, Asaroth, and Mariel, the 'Scooby Gang,' as they have call themselves are definitely a part of the story as they help Ben run Gigi's mayoral campaign, but they don't have as much screen time and weight as they did in 'A Witch's Guide...' so I didn't mind their contributions. They weren't there to nay say Ben's experience as I felt that they did in Mariel's story and as such weren't as annoying. Whether it's character growth from the intervening book or circumstance of the plot, I don't know, but it helped my enjoyment of the story a lot. I do wish that Mariel had been around more for the beginning as she had experience with having accidentally brought someone she didn't intend to into her life and plane, but she was on her honeymoon. Gigi was frustrating in her impulsive behavior and honestly, self-centered behavior. She decided to run for mayor with two months until election day, stole Ben's expansion grand opening to make her big announcement, and took over his time only to get angry at him the moment he couldn't drop everything for her, or when she discovered that Ben hadn't been able to discover how to free Eleonore. Even after Eleonore gives her a much needed dressing down on the situation, I feel like Gigi still just... takes Ben for granted.

All toll, still a fun romance, just not necessarily my favorite supporting cast, which tends to be a quirk of mine.

I rounded up to four stars. I absolutely adore Glimmer Falls and the Scooby Gang. I even kind of like Lilith!

Ben sounds like a big ole teddy bear, or should I say wolf.

While I preferred the demons thanks to their snark and personalities, it was refreshing to see a main male character like Ben. I loved the quirky and odd Eleanore too. They just worked together in their own odd little way. To take a line from the book, they had a stabby one and a nice one.

I wouldn't mind reading more about Glimmer Falls either. What with their mayor and the new thriving Demon Realm.

When I first came across this book, I fell in love with the cute cover. I mean, I had been hearing a lot of buzz about the Glimmer Falls series lately and couldn't pass up the opportunity to check it out.

I found the plot of A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire to be really unique and intriguing. I loved the idea of a not-so-typical werewolf experiencing the same problems as humans. I loved that Werewolf Ben was a bit of an introvert, but was ready to find love. I found his "meet cute" with succubus, Eleonore, wildly entertaining and couldn't wait to see how things would play out between them.

Overall, I thought A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire was a cute and unexpected read. I thought it had a good balance of sweetness, spice, and humor. All in all, a fun read and I'm glad to have checked it out.

3/5 ⭐️
Spiciness: 4/5

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the opportunity to review this ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review!

I am going to start by saying that I have not read the first two books in this series, but I have always loved the covers and have been tempted to read them. Instead, I did start with this book so my experience with it would have been different if I had read the first two.

General Tropes/Themes
- Modern day earth but make it paranormal (demons, witches, vampires, werewolves) with minimal world building
- Contemporary romance
- Cheesy/cutesy vibes (for example, things like “Ghoul Tube” instead of “Youtube”, loads of Star Trek references, etc)
- Spice with instalove-ish
- Nerdy main male character with a pension for sweater vests, avoiding the full moon, and his plant store
- Assassin vampy-succubus who lives life based on what she has seen in Star Trek

There were things about this story that I really enjoyed. One of my favorite things were: character development of our main male. I also liked the general pace and flow of the story, and it was cute to see the relationship develop. The dialog also had me giggling at some points because I love angst and uncomfy situations. I actually cackled.

I would say this book did feel a little too cutesy for me, and there were times I just really wanted more. I wanted more tension and depth. I wanted the big bads to be bigger and badder. It felt more juvenile for some of the plot, where it was just not grasping my attention the way I wanted it to. There was a lot of potential, but it did seem to fall a little flat, especially towards the end.

My advice: I would recommend reading these books in order (and I always end up coming to that conclusion), but I really did feel like I wanted to see more world building. There are the mortal and the immortal paranormal creatures, but I needed way more background and history. Again, this may totally be on me for reading them out of order, but I think I would have gotten way more enjoyment out of this book had I had more background.

I did enjoy it overall, but the ending did seem disjointed. For my rating system, a 3/5 means that it was a book I would describe as “fine”. It’s not bad, and it’s not amazing. I finish it and feel kind of neutral. I may still read the first two books down the road, but I am not going to be rushing out to grab them after reading this one.

Thank you, Netgalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 3rd book in the Glimmer Falls series and can be read as a standalone.

Let’s talk about male leads that do not follow the stereotypical tropes in romances. The male lead Ben has anxiety, people pleasing, and owns a flower shop. Ben does not have six-pack abs. He loves knitting, and he hates being a werewolf. These attributes, in my mind, are the opposite of stereotypes for a male lead in a romance. Most romances have strong masculine traits and the perfect body for a romantic partner. But this author creates a wonderful male lead that shines a light on mental health, self care, and loving yourself. I greatly enjoyed this author creating a male lead that breaks the mold. Kudos to this author!!

The smut is a slow burn, but 100% worth the wait. I have never heard of a succubus before this story, and now I am greatly intrigued.

The magical characters capture the readers attention, and I am eager to read the rest of this series. The plot moves at an enjoyable pace with comedic elements from Eleanora trying to figure out modern technology.

This was such a cute and cozy read!! However I was personally attacked on the SECOND PAGE and knew that I was going to relate heavily to Ben (ugh I love him). Ben is single around all his friends who are parented up and owns a plant store, loves to knit, has anxiety and apologizes for literally every minor inconvenience. He’s so me. And Elanora is a hot French vampire succubus who’s been cursed and trapped in a plastic stone for 600 years and loves her knives. So like, I’m literally on my knees for both of them???

I love a good small town romance because you get so many little stories from the towns people throughout. The chemistry between Ben and Elanora was sweet and spicy and overall so so good, I want more of them! I think the only thing that didn’t hit the mark for me was that it all felt a little rushed in the end and wish I had more of the development of Ben and Elanora’s relationship.

3.5 ⭐️Thank you Berkley and NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my review!

Some tropes:
-cinnamon roll werewolf MMC
-vampire succubus FMC
-small town
-forced proximity
-✨use me/feed off of me✨

Ok so I'm late to the Sarah Hawley party clearly. Glimmer Falls is magical. That's literally and metaphorically meant. If but a place of such vast diversity and acceptance exists in this reality... I really enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the HEA. I realized somewhere in the middle that I have book one of Glimmer Falls on my TBR. Despite this being book 3 I didn't feel lost. The author dropped enough crimes for me to contextualize.
Also call I just say how nice it is to have mature MCs? Is nice that they're not so young that you have to work so hard remenber what it was like being that age. Also the fact that Ben the beefcake has some significant mental health struggles that he's coped with. There's are descriptions of anxiety that are better than I've read in any book to date. (Brava Sarah). The sex positive nature of interactions I think ramps up the spice. Oh and Eleonore setting a boundary with Gigi... chef's kiss. Thank you Sarah Hawley and Penguin Random House for the opportunity.

I REALLY enjoyed this one!! It may be because I really enjoy werewolves, but something about this one just really hit for me! I adored Eleonore as well, and all of her quirks! It also ties in mental health well. Very fun, and I will recommend it!

Cover:
The cover captures the essence of the story, featuring illustrations that highlight key aspects of the magical world and the enchanting atmosphere of the tale. (Let's be honest: I'm obsessed with the covers for this entire series.)

Writing:
Sarah Hawley’s writing balances humor and deeper emotional undertones, creating a funny and heartfelt story. Her contemporary paranormal romance style is engaging and easy to get sucked into.

Storyline:
The plot revolves around Ben, an anxious werewolf, and Eleonore, a socially awkward succubus-vampire hybrid, navigating breaking a curse and developing their relationship. While the premise is intriguing, some elements felt underdeveloped.

Characters:
Ben and Eleonore are our main characters. Ben’s portrayal of anxiety and Eleonore’s struggle with trust issues add depth to their characters and make them incredibly relatable. Their chemistry is natural and evolves beautifully throughout the story. Characters from previous books add humor and continuity for fans of the series.

Romance:
The slow-burn romance between Ben and Eleonore is timed perfectly and feels natural. Their interactions are endearing, and their relationship develops organically, making the romantic subplot enjoyable.

Overall Impression:
A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is another cozy paranormal romance. At this point, I love Sarah Hawley and this world and will keep reading anything she puts out in it. The characters are well-developed and I continue to enjoy the banter. While some plot elements could have been better fleshed out, the story's heartwarming romance and engaging writing make it a fun read for fans of cozy, character-driven books. Fans of Sarah Hawley’s previous books will enjoy catching up with familiar faces and new adventures in Glimmer Falls.

Thank you so much to Berkeley Romance, & NetGalley for an early copy of this book!

Sorry not sorry. But I have to fangirl about this book. I freaking loved it. Which says a lot because I had zero expectations going into it. And to top it off this was probably my least anticipated of the series. But boy oh boy was I wrong. Mrs Hawley did not disappoint. And now A Werewolf's Guide to Seducing a Vampire is hands down my favorite of the series!

Clearly I am a sucker for this universe Sarah has created- the mixture of urban paranormal romantic comedy just fills a void I’ve been missing. Plus Sarah knows how to do werewolves. I thought I liked werewolves in previous books. No I was sadly mistaken and missing Ben all this time.

Speaking of Ben. Let me continue to gush about my golden retriever sweet and sensitive werewolf. He was truly an amazing character from start to finish, and his intrusive thoughts and anxieties really resonated with me. We can’t forget his love interest Eleonore. I loved watching her not only re-discover the world around her. But I also loved watching her character grow and come out of the trapped shell she had be living in.

Also to top it off I have to mention the spice. OH MY GOD. I read this at work Mrs Hawley. The amount of times I had to put the book down and check to make sure I wasn’t blushing was 🥵

I cannot say this enough but I absolutely adored this book. The character development, the relationships, and the whimsy of it all. Please fellow readers pick up the Glimmer Falls series. It’s not one to miss!

A very cozy and sweet romance that makes you fall in love with the characters. I loved the characters and how they learned to fall in love and understand that they can find safety in each other. Very heartwarming 10/10 would recommend.

Can I just move to Glimmer Falls, please? If you loved book 1 and 2, you'll adore this one. If you haven't read books 1 and 2, that's okay! You can start here, or you can go back and read the whole trilogy -- because it's worth it. Hawley has created this whole magical version of Stars Hollow that feels very real, except with all adult lives and romance. The banter, the mystery, all of it is worth it! Highly recommend for cozy fantasy, romance lovers, lovers of fantasy -- everyone.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Glimmer Falls series but this 3rd installment is my favorite of them all. Eleonore is feral and earnest, a particularly potent combo that I just adore in a FMC. And Ben is sweet as can be, a dreamboat in every way.
The setting in these books is simply delightful and I have so enjoyed being immersed in this weird little world with fairies and witches and demons and werewolves and vampires — and every other combo imaginable.
Don’t sleep on these books — this one in particular!
