I was beyond excited to receive early access to the third book in one of my favorite recent fantasy series! I really enjoyed the pace of this third book as much as I loved it in the second, and I felt like the tension and chemistry was still so well done with the main characters. There were a lot of new things happening in this book, and I love that each book so far has really taken on it's own journey and never feels like "filler" or just repetitive to what's already happened in previous books. There's always something new going on without being information overload!

I still loved Nadir in this book but did feel like their interactions together felt a little bit more juvenile for some reason (obviously not the spicy scenes but regular interactions). I think I was just missing some of that "enemy" love/hate vibe so it felt off to me. However, I still liked how their relationship evolved throughout the book, and I know there's a lot more to come!

I enjoyed getting a peak at other character perspectives this time around like Gabriel. It brought a very interesting plot into the mix for sure! Now I just can't wait for book four!

This is my very first ARC review and I am so glad itโ€™s this book right here by Nisha J. Tuli! I read this in 2 days! The characters in this book are lovable and funny, unless youโ€™re the Sun King.
Lor, has grown so much and discovered so much about herself and her family history. She continues to be brave and protective of those she loves. This book had all the tension and all the build up! Boy am I glad Nisha did not leave us hanging, (the waterfall scene ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿผ)

The ending left me flabbergasted! I turned the page and couldnโ€™t believe she left us with that cliffhanger!!

There was some slow parts, and Nadir couldnโ€™t stop confessing his love which eventually I was like โ€œokay we get itโ€ but thatโ€™s the only thing that I found tedious.

:sigh: what am I suppose to do now with my life?

Fate of the Sun King is a strong addition to the Artefacts of Ouranos series, providing an enjoyable reading experience overall.

I must admit, having read the first two books over a year ago, I found myself slightly confused at the beginning. However, the character glossary provided at the start of the book proved to be incredibly helpful!

One of the aspects I particularly love about this series is its utilization of different perspectives and timelines. In this installment, we not only follow Lor and Nadir's perspectives but also gain insight into Gabriel's viewpoint and are treated to excerpts from the First and early Second Ages of Ouranos. Despite the variety of viewpoints, the narrative remains coherent and easy to follow, enriching the story without overwhelming the reader.

I thoroughly enjoyed the character development, particularly the growth we see in Lor, and finally witnessing the evolution of Nadir and Lorโ€™s relationship was incredibly satisfying. The steamy scenes were well-executed, delivering on the anticipation built throughout the series.

The ending left me completely heartbroken, and now I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the next book. I can't wait to dive back into this world and see how Lorโ€™s story continues to unfold.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Forever for providing me with an ARC copy of this book!

Another 5 Star Review for this series and still going strong. I am seriously loving this series so much and I know once Book 4 releases I am not going to want the story to come to end and say goodbye to all of the characters. Book 3- Fate of the Sun King was so good and I was so invested in this story. I love Lor and Nadir. I am happy that their relationship grew and that they ended up not hating each other after all and discovered something so great that made everything all make sense and come together. It was also great to know about all the history and how everything was in the past to where everything came to be today with all of the artefacts, the Queens and kings, the different places, all of it. You get to discover all the secrets!! Seriously just this whole series has been so wonderful, I truly love all of the characters (even if they are evil ones) it just makes the story that much better!!

Cant wait for book 4!

I am FLOORED. First of all, Iโ€™m so unbelievably thankful to have received an arc for this. Iโ€™ve been anticipating this release for months and couldnโ€™t put it down.

The first thing I absolutely loved about this book is that Nisha included a character glossary in the beginning. I always seem to forget who everyone is, and she gave a perfect summary of who each important character was.

This book gave me everything I wanted and more. I really appreciated that we got more than Nadir and Lorโ€™s POV, as it changes to Gabriel and other important characters in the realmโ€™s history. We get to hear from Cloris, and Zerra, among a few others- and it really helps the reader understand more of the history behind everything.

I thought Lor and Nadirโ€™s relationship developed at a perfect slow burn pace, and we got lots of steamy scenes! Their romance doesnโ€™t take priority in the novel, though we still get lots of loving scenes between the two. In my opinion, balance between the romance and the action was perfect.

I also want to add that Maelโ€™s character might be my favourite! He adds such great comedy to the novel and I found myself laughing out loud at almost everything he says!

My mind is blown after that last chapter, and I donโ€™t know what Iโ€™m going to do while I wait until the final instalment is released.

If you havenโ€™t read this series, it is a MUST READ for any romantasy lover!

4.5 stars..

I wanted to start off saying that I got the eARC from NetGalley and I am so grateful to have been able to read this third book! I also want to say that I hope that it was just formatting or something that will be fixed when the book is released in Juneโ€ฆbut the punctuation errors were honestly sooooo distracting for me. They were so common that it got to the point where Iโ€™d have to reread things a couple times because I was so distracted. Also at one point it looks like Nadir is calling Lor his sister but it was actually Tristan saying that. Itโ€™s minor but even when I reread it, it should be fixed. Anywayssss on to the book reviewโ€ฆ.

I reread the first two books to refresh my memory about how the last book had left off. Iโ€™m glad I did because I feel like this book answered some questions that I had from the previous books.

I saw the ending coming even though the chapter or two before had me second guessing myself. That said, the cliff hanger didnโ€™t hurt any less knowing it was coming. After 2.5 books.. having them FINALLY hook up (holy slow burn) and admit being matesโ€ฆto have that taken was heartbreaking.

The one upside is that hopefully in the next book we wonโ€™t be subjected to her new nickname โ€œlightening bugโ€โ€ฆ(seriously wtf) as often

Iโ€™m excited to see where the next book goes. Iโ€™m sure sheโ€™ll find a way to bring him back but will it be in Ouranos or the Evanescence who knowsโ€ฆ

(I see the parallels to ACOTAR but it doesnโ€™t bother me. I find these characters less annoying overall)

As a huge fan of this series, I couldn't read Fate of the Sun King fast enough. I love seeing Lor's growth in this book, and was very grateful to see more of Gabriel's story (thank god!!!). I have to admit that the tension and feeling in Rule of the Aurora King are still my favorite of this series so far, but I think fantasy readers and fans of this series will love this book.

It was everything I wanted and more of the series continuation! We get to pick up where we left off while also adding a POV dedicated to Gabriel. Obviously still following Lor and Nadir and their joint quest. The novel stays true to Nishaโ€™s writing style with her delivery of amazing characters, action filled chapters, romance, spice and wholesome found family vibes.
As a fantasy novel/series, I found it to be done in a great manner, where it is approachable and easy to follow the plot and its many characters! The multiple timelines also created layers, which brings understanding of how this world came to be.

Obviously, I am obsessed with this series, itโ€™s a must read/ reread. That cliffhangerโ€ฆ AHHHHHH! Iโ€™m still unwell. I need the final instalment of the series, ๐“๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ž๐ž๐ง, like now, yesterday.. as soon as I hit that cliffhanger. I have decided to not finish this book. Iโ€™ve reached the 50% mark and Iโ€™m just not compelled by the storyline like I was with the first two books.
I really wanted to enjoy the romance between Lor and Nadir but I think it mightโ€™ve been too slow a burn because when they finally got together it didnโ€™t have the fire I thought it would.
I might try and pick this back up if I decide to reread the series because I think I was just so disconnected from the story.

4 stars! This was a great continuation of the series!

First of all, I really appreciated that the book starts with a recap of each of the characters. It was perfect since its been awhile since I read the last two books. This should be a standard in fantasy series!

In the Fate of the Sun King, we still get Lor and Nadir's POVs, but we also get Gabriel's and some excerpts from the First Age of Ouranos, the early Second Age of Ouranos, and Cloris Payne. This really helped round-out the background, world-building, and the current plot. This sounds like a lot of POVs, but it was easy to follow and not overwhelming.

As the title suggests, we get more background on Atlas, the Sun King seen through Gabriel. These were always interesting chapters!

We see a lot of growth for Lor here! I'm proud of her! Nadir really steps it up in this book too. He was less of a spoiled prince here. Overall, this series is a great slow burn, enemies to lovers romance.

I would definitely recommend Fate of the Sun King if you read and enjoyed the first two books!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for this eARC!

Loved this book, Iโ€™d been waiting for this since I devoured the first 2. I was happy to see some of the relationships amongst various characters grow in this book and especially loving Lor and Nadir. I canโ€™t wait for the next one now

Thanks to Netgalley and Forever for the copy of this ARC.

Thank you Netgalley for this title! First off, I was amused from the dedication (iykyk) and the ending has left me in shambles. Watching Atlas spin out of control was also fun because I was absolutely sick of him by book three. And the backstory is so interesting, itโ€™s like getting Ouranos history lessons.

I really enjoy Nishaโ€™s writing and how the story has grown since the first book - Lor has come such a long way and I hope she continues to learn from her hardships without letting them consume her. Randomly, I wish we got more Callias because he has a small role in the books, but is one of my favorite characters, along with Amya. But now I have to wait for book 4?! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Tuli is back with the third installment of the Artefacts of Oranos series. It has been over a year since I read the first two books in the series, so I really appreciated that Tuli included a glossary in the front of the book to help us remember whoโ€™s who. In this book we learn so much more about the world. Usually a lot of the world building and lore comes from the first book, but I thought it was a good choice to reveal this information as the series goes on, considering Lor is learning all of this with us. Since she was locked in prison for most of her life it felt natural that she wouldnโ€™t know much about the history of her land. In this book the romance was romancing and the ending gutted me. I need to know what happens next and will be reading the fourth and final installment when it comes out in November!

While this book isn't on the edge of your seat thrilling, it brings together so many of the strings that have been woven throughout the first two books.

I was honestly screaming basically the whole last couple of chapters wondering what some characters were or weren't going to do in this situations they faced. I am excited to continue Lor and Nadir adventures and see where their paths/ fates take them and will definitely be grabbing the last book in the series to add to my collection. A wonderful epic fantasy that starts off YA ish but flips the script real fast as the books go on.

First off, thank you to NetGalley for this digital ARC of Fate of the Sun King by Nisha J. Tuli for an honest review!

Being a bookseller, this is the type of book I would recommend to the adult casual reader, especially if they like attaching themselves to MCs in a series! It is a great combination of Fantasy/Romance, self-discovery, enemies-to-lovers, is easy to read, and has a simplistic plot. It can be read during any season of the year, so with summer approaching keep this book ready but donโ€™t expect it to stay unread for long!
Fate of the Sun King is the third book in the Artefacts of Ouranous series. Mostly from the dual POV of the MFC Lor and the MMC Nadir, Tuli also throws in a couple of other POV chapters from other characters enhancing the depth of the story. The book continues on in Lorโ€™s life as she struggles to unlock her magic and bring back her familyโ€™s legacy. But to do that sheโ€™ll face dangers from two kings hunting her, discover lost family, fight for the ones she loves, and be set down a path she never saw coming.

This series is my first experience with Tuli and I have quickly become a fan! With this book, she did a fantastic job continuing the story where the second book left off. The mystical/magical elements are bigger and better than ever and I was rooting for Lor the entire way through. I was excited to have Lor develop into a more complex character. By the end of the Fate of the Sun King, my jaw dropped with what I hope is coming in the next book! If you havenโ€™t read this series then you are missing out. Go get started now and be ready for the ride!

Final Rating: 4 stars

Third part in the series. Sometimes the third book in a series can feel like fluff but this one really moved the story forward and gave us the backstory of the gods/past rulers as well. I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ll ever get over that cliffhanger and canโ€™t wait to see how it all comes together in the last book! I love Nishaโ€™s writing and this world that she has built.

Wow!!! So much was uncovered in this book that I have been waiting for!! While I still have a few questions a ton were answered!

The writing and the way the whole story tied together is perfection! The world building is beautiful but not so complex where you get lost. It is just the right amount so that the writing creates a beautiful picture in your mind with a clear detailed story. This is true for the whole series!

Lorโ€™s personal growth throughout the series was slow, she had so much trauma burdening her. I feel like we really see her start to unpack her trauma and really flourish in this book, and I am absolutely here for her healing journeyโค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

The.ENDING!!!! Iโ€ฆ No, nope, nuh uh, I do NOT accept that ending!!! I just met Nisha this past weekend at Apollycon and told her I was currently ARC reading this book and was 70% through. You know what she said? Iโ€™m sorryโ€ฆ yeah I knew it was going to be bad but not this bad!!!๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I will be emotionally distressed until I have the next book in my hands.

Bright side? Release date for the next book is November 26!! At least I wonโ€™t have to wait too long to have Nisha mend my broken heart ๐Ÿ’”

Fate of the Sun King is a great follow up to book one and two. It blends answering questions the reader has while still leaving us more new questions to keep us reading. If you enjoy multi-book slow burn, world building, and found family this series is for you. It was also great to go into different timelines and learn more about this history of Ouranos.

Honestly, I think I may rebel if I donโ€™t get my hands on the next one soon! Itโ€™s just rude to leave us hanging right here! Iโ€™m not sure if I can wait until November! I loved diving back into the world of Lor and Nadir. I think my favorite part is the addition of hearing from Gabriel! I loved getting inside his mind.
I feel like the past wasnโ€™t as clearly laid out. I still have a lot of questions about Zerra and the other kings and queens and they might be answered in the next book. There were just parts in that storyline that didnโ€™t seem cohesive and well explained.
That being said, I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I love this series so much! I recommend this to everyone. I loved this third installment although I did feel like it was a bit slower than the other two books. After waiting two books for answers, I wanted a little more of the plot to take off in the beginning/middle of this one!
