This book was outstanding and I was so excited to pick up where we left off with Lor's journey to become the Heart Queen. The plot twists and action were super engaging and I couldn't put the book down! The flashbacks throughout the story are perfectly placed and help build up the suspense of the story. I love watching Lor and Nadirs relationship grow as Nadir tries to help her unlock her magic. The cliffhanger ending to this book had me sobbing and wanting the next book ASAP!
Fate of the Sun King was an amazing read! Finally got many answers but also have so many more questions now on how the Ouranos universe works! I loved seeing the growth of Nadir and Lor, along with her siblings and getting to see them immerse themselves with the crew from the Aurora. I can’t wait to keep reading this series to see how it ends.
I took my time reading this book because it was sooo good and I didn’t want it to end. But I got to the end and WTF?!!! I can’t believe it ends the way it did. Now we have to wait months before getting the next book. I’m off to go just be in silence for a while so I can process what I just read.
The rage I feel with the way this book ending and knowing I have to WAIT FOR THE LAST BOOK has me tearing my physical hair out. Everyone raise their hand after finishing the book and constantly your significant has become a victim of your rage ✋✋
I loved this book so much I feel like everything that happened was just great the revenge the betrayal the twists and the turns and the background story to everything that happened is crazy!!
Thank you for the arc opportunity! Nisha does it again!
Once again, I love this series! Thank you for the ARC copy of this book through NetGalley! The banter between Lor and Nadir. I love all the reveals and having Gabriel’s POV was a nice surprise. I cannot wait to read the final installment of this series!
This book was SO worth the wait!! It picks up right where Aurora King left off with a POV we haven't seen yet, but that was really captivating. If I wasn't already invested in this series, chapter one would have me hooked. The pacing is on point; it doesn't feel like it's dragging at all. Prepare yourself for that ending though!!
WOW. Fate of the Sun King DELIVERED. It was everything I wanted it to be. Nisha J. Tuli has become one of my favorite fantasy authors - she creates such magical worlds!
I love, love, love Lor & Nadir. I can’t get enough! It was so fun to learn more about them & watch them grow throughout this book.
That ending (read: devastating cliffhanger) absolutely WRECKED me. I don’t know if words are enough to describe the heartbreak. My jaw is still on the floor. I can do nothing but suffer through the pain while waiting for book 4.
Amazing new entry in the series! So much love given to the side characters, which made the book feel really fully rounded and provided a lot of context and support for the main story. And the slow burn finally igniting was just PERFECTION! Absolutely cannot wait for the final book!!
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
First of all, Nisha that was mean. We are fighting now.
I love Lor. I’m obsessed with her. Lor is such a bad ass woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. She stands up for what she believes in and doesn’t let people off the hook. “Oh, I’m in love with you? I don’t care, why are their slaves in your mines?”. She is awesome. Keep holding men accountable Lor!!
Nadir. Oh sweet, broody, black clothes loving Nadir. I like that Nadir has a personality and has kept his personality through the series. It’s very easy for the MMC of a store to take the back seat with an amazing FMC. But Nadir is his own character while still supporting everything Lor does. He will have her the match to watch the world burn. But he is going to cause chaos of his own along the way. I love that for him.
We got a lot of answers in this book. There is a good amount of questions answered, and new question risen to justify a 4th book. When can we get the final chapter? Now please? PLEASE NISHA??
There was a lot of action in this books combined with calmer parts and world building parts. It was a good mix pacing wise. Sometimes it felt a bit slower, but it wasn’t bad at all.
Ok. Let’s talk cliffhangers. On a scale of “They all lived happily ever after” to “Where is my wife!?” This is pretty much at Rowan in the beach level. Not QUITE there, but almost. So, beware. Unless you also want to be in a fight with Nisha like I am. Is any one of my friends in a good position right now?? No. Everyone is in trouble.
Definitely read this series. It’s a spectacular adult romantasy book. We’ve got plot, we’ve got spice, we’ve got morally grey characters, and we’ve got straight up junk punch worthy characters. You want it? Ouranos has it. Enjoy your reading!
Ahhh Nisha did it again! This book was absolutely amazing. I loved all the tension and chemistry between Nadir and Lor. I’m so excited to read the conclusion and see how this all wraps up! Highly recommend this book!
I don't know how to explain how much I enjoyed this book. As usual, Nisha J. Tuli did a phenomenal job with character development, world building, and plot progression. Without giving away spoilers, I just want to say that I was thrilled that a certain couple were finally able to figure out how to be together. The bond between these two is amazing and Nisha does a beautiful job with the slow burn trope. Honestly, I feel like maybe she invested the trope!
I absolutely loved the multiple POV's in this book. It was so great to see Gabriel and to finally understand how his loyalty to the crown worked. I loved that the reader was able to see how Atlas became King and why he was so determined to have Lor win the trials in book 1.
All in all, I give this book a solid 5/5. Nisha always knows how to keep the reader hooked and pining for her next book!
Loved this book! One of my favorite series. My review on goodreads is attached below.

Welcome back to Ouranos, where the plot thickens and you don’t know nearly as much as you THOUGHT you did. Nisha somehow makes installment three of this series just as intense and riveting as the first two.
We don’t waste much time with pleasantries before we delve right back into Lor’s plight to save her kingdom and finally claim her revenge. But as she uncovers more about her Grandmother, things get murky as Lor struggles with guilt.
But she has Nadir. She doesn’t love him, but she can rely on him as a steady presence in her life, her rock. But she definitely doesn’t want him. Right?
Atlas panics as his bonding with Apracia looms over him, and the golden sun king is tarnished by a century of deceit. All while Rion is hot on their heels.
Lor and Nadir and making strides towards their goals…but they ran out of time….
I didn’t think that my emotions could be sent on even more of a more roller coaster but Nisha Tulley has made me feel like I’m on a merry-go-round of feelings with this latest installment in the series the journey that Lord takes, and also all of the ups and downs and shocking Surprises that happen make you wonder where is this book going to go next I love the storytelling and I have found myself to be so immersed in this world that I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series
One of the most incredible books I have read this year. Nisha has created a stunning work of art of a world and I hung onto each word like it was my last dying breath. The ending made me cry and anticipate the next book.
Fate of the Sun King is the third book in in the Artefacts of Ouranos series. This series is romantasy at its' finest! I am completely head over heels in love with this story, and these characters. Each book just keeps getting better and better. Be warned, this is a series that needs to be read in order, but in this third installment we FINALLY see Lor and Nadir get over themselves and admit what they are to each other. And I was totally there for it.
We also learn more about the kingdom of heart and the heart queen. I love how Nisha is able to flip back and forth between several points of view without the story becoming convoluted. She is excellent and using the different characters to each build upon the plot and story. She is a fantastic story teller and this series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series of all time. I have already read the book twice.
The ending killed me, and I am desperate for the next book. I can't speak too much about the plot because of spoilers, but I love how vast the world is and how each of the characters have their own agenda. It was even interesting checking back in with Gabriel and Atlas, plus more secrets are revealed. I need the next book in my hands right now!
if you have not yet checked out this series, what on earth are you waiting for? Your next favorite rokmantasy is right here- waiting for you!
I am so grateful to the publishers for giving me the chance to read one of my most anticipated reads of 2024. The way I am in love with this series— the characters— the world… Fate of the Sun Long is the third book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series and it did not disappoint. Nisha J Tuli has truly crafted an epic story that has everything you’re looking for. If you’ve been waiting for the spice— well let’s say you will NOT be disappointed in this one! I don’t know what I’d do if we had to wait another year for the fourth book, but thankfully it’s releasing this year! I NEED IT NOW! Honestly if you want a series where the story doesn’t drop off after book two you need to read the Artefacts of Ouranos. Fate of the Sun King was absolutely worth the wait.
The slow burn that finally caught fire! Excuse me while I go recover from this emotional beating I just took. 5/5 will read again! (& again)
Probably my favorite so far of the books.
Nisha has done it again with a gripping story that has you chomping at the bit for more.
This book deserves all the stars! There aren’t many books I give 5 stars to. They must be top tier. This book has been LONG anticipated. I read Sun Queen and Aurora King what feels like decades ago. I’m having trouble even putting into words how much I enjoyed this book. I love how we got to see Gabriel’s POV too. Mysteries unfold as we near the end, and we are left off in a cliffhanger of course because there’s one more book in this series.
This book had twists and turns, action, mystery, and Nisha brought the SPICE! (Finally!)
I want to say this was my favorite book in this series so far. It was SO GOOD!!
I stumbled upon this series accidentally when I was trolling kindle unlimited. I read books 1&2 in two days! They were addicting- page turners. This book was deadly. The character development was incredible, the spice was a long time coming, and the plot was unbelievable. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. The multiple POVs is incredibly fun, and hearing from our broody winged friend Gabriel was a treat I wasn’t expecting. I gobbled this book up- I literally had to limit myself to one chapter per night towards the end because I didn’t want it to end. I cannot wait for book 4- I need answers! This book leaves you on a major cliffhanger so be prepared to pine for the fourth book 😭
