This is my favorite book in the series! So much action and very plot driven. The banter between the FMC and MMC is very well written and very engaging to read. The plot is very clear and the goal is simple! A ton of action in this installment for sure and more secrets are uncovered.

my jaw still has not returned from the floor since I finished this book 😮 that cliffhanger was AWFUL 😭

this series has gotten me out of a reading slump and y’all this book really freaking delivered. I am fascinated by the history that we learned in this one and I cannot wait to learn more!

and of course I loved the moments between Lor and Nadir. they just make me smile so much and I just want them to get their happily ever after 🫠

I will be feral until the next book comes out in the fall 👹👹👹

I did receive an advanced copy from netgalley for this book. my opinions are my own.

LOVED THIS BOOK! Amazing. Incredible. Phenomenal. This third installment was such a wild ride. My emotions were all over the place and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! The twists, the turns, and the surprises all had me anticipating each page turn. I also loved the character development and seeing Lor as such a fierce FMC. And Nadir?! I absolutely love him, and the spice is finally spicing. The found family in this one is amazing, too. That cliffhanger though?! I can’t wait to read the next installment!

Another amazing addition to this series, but that ending! I officially need the next book immediately, and cannot wait to see where this story goes.

Fate of the Sun King is the third out of four books in the Artefacts of Ouranos series. The books follow Lor in her quest to survive and unlock the secrets of the various realms rulers. In this third installment we dive deeper into the realms and their vast histories, answer questions building from the previous books, and find resolution in some of the biggest issues. But where Lor find some peace and answers, it might lead to bigger and more devastating heartbreak. Follow along with Lor as she grows more into her self and develops deeper relationships with both family and friends, but also unlocks doors, that might have been better left closed. We also get more backstory and POV from some of our most beloved side characters. Overall this was an amazing book and had me hooked right from the start, and left me counting down the days until book four Tale of the Heart Queen's release.

if you’re in the mood for a delicious romantasy series rich in worldbuilding, tension, banter, and plot twists…..PICK THESE BOOKS UP RIGHT NOW.

while i loved trial of the sun queen and rule of the aurora king, i think fate of the sun king might be my favorite yet.

while this installment lacks the nail-biting high stakes of book one, and the slow burn sizzling tension of book two, it NAILS the worldbuilding, the pacing, and the complex, twisty plot that’s been slowly unraveling over the course of the series. this book FEEDS you — not just full-steam-ahead spice, for which we’ve all been patiently waiting for (and it delivers), but also meaningful story. the story in fate jumps from place to place a bit more than in the previous two, making the world feel more fleshed out and immersive, and the slew of fun, quirky side characters (like my sweet angel gabriel) play a bigger role in this one, making it all feel a little more impactful.

this was EXCELLENT fantasy, with enough romance to tie all the threads together with a fun, spicy little bow.

without spoiling the first two, fate of the sun king picks up where aurora king left off, with our characters in mortal peril (as usual), frantic as they scheme and plot to figure out how to unlock their powers and triumph over evil. several different types of evil.

while lor’s story is the main dish here, i found myself even more interested in the side plots and the new POVs, making this feel like a veritable smorgasbord of perspectives, plot lines, and plot twists. buckle up for an unputdownable ride.

pick this series up if you like badass FMCs carrying a lot of ancestral baggage, shadow (aurora?) daddies who know how to use their magic, and a cast of side characters-turned-family that make this story hard to put down and a blast to read.

The Fate of the Sun King is the third book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series. And, what a journey it was!

This book was such a great follow up to Rule of the Aurora King. Nisha does such a good job of foreshadowing and weaving different timelines into the storyline that makes you go why is this in here? And then it all comes together revealing much needed answers but adding a new level of mystery as well. Also, the slowburn FINALLY paid off and the spice was not disappointing. Lor and Nadir have had such good chemistry throughout this series so it was so satisfying watching their relationship grow from true enemies to finally lovers.

I also loved how we got to see Gabriel’s POV in this one. There was so much more going in his head than I thought (he’s not just a pretty face lol).

I need to talk about that ending gah!!! I’m stilling recovering!!! Yes, it ends on BIG cliffhanger so prepare yourself friends because the book hangover on this one is a big one!

I can’t tell you how excited I was to read this book. At this point, it is very clear to me that I am so attached to these characters and I am scared but curious about what will happen to them in the sequel.

We got to see such great character development for so many of these characters. They are defining themselves more and more as the books go by. We learn more about their secrets and powers.

Even if the story was already taking form in the last two books, there is more and more action and battles as we dive deeper into the story.

From this point on, anything could happen for the next book but there is no doubt I will be here waiting for it. I might start counting the days before I get to have the sequel in my hands…

Welllllll that was a wild ride. This is a rollercoaster of a book. How does this author expect me to wait with that cliff hanger ending?!

Loved everything about this book. Finally got that burn I wanted between two characters. We also got many answers but also more to look forward to!

I don’t know how to accurately put into words how much I love this series! I swear each book answers just as many questions as they leave you with and I am so completely absorbed into the world of Ouranos!

I adored Fate of the Sun King because we got an even deeper dive into the characters we love (or love to hate) and honestly the character development through all 3 books is just exquisite! I loved the fact that we got a look into the origin of magic and the gods. Everything is starting to click into place but the stakes are SO much higher!

The world building continues to enchant! I always love when we are introduced to a new kingdom in Ouranos and i devour the vivid descriptions of the surroundings and inhabitants!

The emotional development of Lor and Nadir was just perfect! The slow burn was masterfully built but let’s just say THANK THE GODS for their big moment! I simply adore these characters and how much growth we see over the course of time. Also, special shout out to Gabriel and Willow for there incredible character arcs!

The plot took off running in book 3 and did not let up! I consumed this book within a day and a half….THAT ENDING! Omg that cliffhanger is an absolute killer! I don’t know how I will make it to book 4 but I need it NOW!

It's really unfair how perfect Nisha is at writing romantasy. Her books are my absolute favorite and I'll never turn down the opportunity to ARC read for her.

I took this book having never read this series before and I was not disappointed. I flew through book 1 and 2 to get here and probably finished all of them in 3/4 days.

Having read the Nightfire Quartet I was sure of two things: the banter would be elite and the MMC would be a fierce, warrior cinnamon roll. I was not disappointed.

These books are filled with rich (but not overly complicated) world building, interesting magic systems, amazing side characters, politics and spice. What more could you want?

Thank you so much to Nisha, Forever and Netgalley for the ARC. I attest that I am leaving this reviewing honestly and voluntarily.

I was so lucky to be on the NetGalley eARC team for both previous books, and I can honestly say I loved this series from the first words… how could I not adore the most epic opening line of a series I have ever read?!

I love a glossary that gives mini character specific recaps! This was so helpful for remembering where we were with each character in the story, because there are so many sub-plots!

A fist bump? Questionable modern choice.

Anyway! Let’s get to the review!

I was quickly drawn back into the world, magic and characters of this series.

The world-building continued steadily with the flashbacks, giving us more glimpses into the foundation of the magic system. Every time a little more back story was given, solidifying the many questions that I had about the magic. I still am not quite sure the nature of the high fae magic. Obviously the author is taking her time in revealing it, because I can see exactly how she will get there.

The side character arcs were immensely satisfying in this book. I love seeing that there is so much more to Gabriel, specifically.

The character growth from Lor has been great. And I’m interested to see how this gets resolved.

This is definitely a bingable series. With the structure and how things play out, I actually think reading them as they release is doing the story, especially the romance, a disservice.

But that cliffhanger ending! Talk about upping the stakes! But I loved it!!!

Thank you NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for an Advanced eReader Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I want to be as transparent as possible, I requested this book thinking it was the second in this series and I was quite excited to finally get into this series, so of course I started with the first book in the series. I obviously later realized this book is in fact the THIRD in the series and that was MY mistake. Unfortunately, after the 1st book in the series I'm not really left wanting to dive more into this world at this time, so I don't think I can provide a review on Fate of the Sun King, because I don't think I care to continue the series.

“Ask me, and I’ll slay anyone for you. Burn the world to ash if you desire.”

I AM SQUEALING ABOUT MY HAPPINESS FOR LOR AND NADIR WHILE SCREAMING ABOUT THAT ENDING!!! I loved this book so so so much and can not wait for book 4!

Lor and Nadir, after all their ups and downs in book 2, are racing back to where things all began now that they have what they need to put the puzzle pieces together. The stakes in this book are high between their enemies making moves, Nadir’s father out to get them, and a love that burns brightly but threatens to be snuffed out if they can’t unearth an ancient ritual.

We got to see some old favorites from book 1 again, notably GABRIEL, and the role he plays is so much more important than we first thought. I love him so much and I loved the turn this book took with the storyline around the king. Everything is coming full circle and the relationships between the siblings and found family they’ve formed is incredible. This ragtag bunch has my heart.

Nadir and Lor’s romance is a strong presence in the story and I love them dearly. When they are both on the same page, my heart exploded with happiness. And the spice is so good! But what I love most is how ride or die they are for each other. They’re so perfect together.

Figuring things out doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing because Lor still has trust issues but even when she wobbles, she’s able to work through it. She might fear being blinded by affection again but she knows he loves her deeply.

I now just need book 4 and my life will be complete.

This series keeps getting better and better! I absolutely love the way Nisha J Tuli writes relationships, tension and conflict.

Like I have no words. This series and these characters are so compelling and have my whole heart.

I put off reading this as long as I could because I knew the next book won’t be out until later this year. I just had a feeling I would end this book screaming…….”but what happens next”!!!
And I was right!!
Book 3 gives us all that we have been waiting for. All the romance, all the answers, all the SPICY scenes!!! Gabriel finally getting to tell us his side of things!!!
And that ending…….i am definitely NOT OK!
That being said I I’ll be first in line to read book 4…,,.and this book is already on its way to me cause I have to own a physical copy!!!
I received a eARC of this title, all opinions are my own!

Fate of the Sun King is a fantastic addition to Artefacts of Ouranos series!
Told in multiple POVs and alternating timelines between the past and presents, I was intrigued by reading from the perspectives of different rulers in the past as I get to know more about Ouranos, the artefacts, the gods and goddess.

The world building is not the only thing I like about in this series, the loveable characters are hard to miss. I absolutely love the found family trope found in this series – it was shown by the way Lor and her siblings love and protect each other, as well as Nadir’s friends that always had his back.
Not to mention Nadir and Lor’s love is absolutely delightful to see - The spice, the tension, the lovey dovey moments are here for both of our main characters!

The last few chapters were quite intense especially with lots of twists and turns thrown in there, I was holding my breath when I was reading through Gabriel’s POV!!
With those twists, comes a lot of questions in my head but sadly when I was looking for it A HUGE CLIFF-HANGER was waiting for me at the end….

Overall, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read.
I know this was gonna be a great book when I finished a 500-ish page of book in under 48 hours!
My only wish was for book 4 to be released as soon as possible because I need answers!!

⚠️ 𝐓𝐖: Swearing, sexual content, suicide ideation, alcohol abuse and mentions of past sexual abuse, violence, death, torture and blood.

This is so close to being my favorite book in the series. Let's talk about it.

We get so many questions answered. We get character growth. We FINALLY get what we ALL wanted. AND ITS HOT 🔥 🥵. We get more questions that need answers. We get more back story on certain characters. We get a few twists. We get more amazing quotes. WE GET A CLIFFHANGER 😭😭😭😭 that will make you SCREAM.

I LOVE Lor and Nadir. And I was kicking my feet and giggling when they finally realized what they were and finally caved to give us what we wanted all along. AND DADDY NADIR DOESN'T DISAPPOINT. The things he does with his magic y'all 👀🥵😍🙋‍♀️

What I love even more for this book is the familiar faces. Gabriel is back and we get a few chapters in his POV. I was so proud of him and was so glad that I loved him in the first book. We get glimpses into the past, which helps explain the current situations and helps set up for the final book. We finally understand a bit more on why Atlas did the things he did and we meet the true Sun King. I loved Mael throughout the book because he brought the comedic relief. I laughed every time he said something. Of course Willow and Tristan are here, with Tristan being more involved.

I generally just loved the storyline more and how this sets up for the next book. I can't wait to see what happens to our favorites and how they -hopefully- get their happy endings.

But... I took a star away for two reasons. The ending was kind of rushed, so a lot happens and it just blurs together. I feel like the last 10-15% threw a lot at us and could have been more jarring for that cliffhanger if it was better paced. Not a deal breaker, though, because I'm used to these endings. The second reason is that Nadir starts calling Lor 'Lightning Bug'. I cringed at that actually and thought it would just be the one time, but then he kept it up until the end. I think that's Lor's new nickname and 😬😬. Maybe I'll be in the minority, but I hate that nickname. Lol.

Overall, like I said, this book is so close to being my favorite in the series. Read it. Read it. Read it. And be prepared to *patiently* wait for the next one with me after you do.

This was definitely one of my most anticipated reads going into 2024 and it (mostly) delivered.

We get to see a lot more of Ouranos in this one with an additional POV that gives us more insight into what happened in the past / the breaking of the world. I’m deeply intrigued by the origins of the series namesake Artefacts, the arcs, along with the goddess Zerra.

The relationship between Lor, Tristan and Willow remains one of my absolute favorite things about this series. I’m so invested in all of these characters, not just Lor and Nadir. However, I think I loved the banter that toes the line between being playful and not along with the little bit of hatred that existed between Lor and Nadir most, so their on page presence didn’t hit quite the same once they finally gave in to their feelings for each other.

After that cliffhanger I’m anxiously awaiting the final book in the Fall 😭

(Random additional thought- the nickname established in this book is absolutely terrible and I hated it every time it was said 😂)

Highlights:
- Romantasy (MF)
- Fated mates
- Slowww burn (with spice)
- Lots of tension
- Ride or die siblings
- Fae court politics

Note: I received an advance copy from the author and publisher. Decision to read/review was my own. Opinion is my own.

This series!!!! I don't know how it's so addictive but I'm already dying for the next book!
I loved all the different POVs and I think they really helped with understanding the history of the world and its magic. Surprisingly, Gabriel's POV was one of my favorites <3 it's so easy to love all the side characters in this series. And of course, Lor and Nadir <3
that ending hurt me but I am holding out faith for Tale of the Heart Queen in November!

• enemies to lovers
• multiple povs
• fated mates
• lots of spice
