THE CANOPY KEEPERS is a gorgeous love story for national parks, trees, and the people who protect them. Veronica Henry's characters are strong, complicated heroes, and her world is delicately, lovingly drawn -- and an anguished reminder of everything we are losing day by day.

Syrah Carthan comes to Sequoia National Park as a fire chief, but after a near-tragic incident on the job, she finds herself questioning her career and how she can really make a difference. Then stumbles through the veil in a burnt out Sequoia and discovers an underground community of "Keepers" who protect the fragile ecosystem of plants and animals in the park and beyond. This might just be a new place for her - except her long lost brother has plans that could wreak terrible devastation. Sidenote: it's the first in a duology, but it works as a standalone too.

THE CANOPY KEEPERS will wrap its roots around you and not let go.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC!
