Officer Off Limits is a previously published, love-at-first sight short story that is high on the burn meter, but low on the substantial quality of love meter. Tessa Bailey’s books are easy read’s, though, so as a reader you’ll breeze right through this if love-at-first glance is your thing. For me, not so much. But to each her own!

I absolutely adored this book. It's sexy, witty and addictive. Our heroine's name is Story Brooks and she made me laugh from de beginning. Daniel is what wet dreams are made of. So hot and attractive. Together they are explosive.
I read it in one sitting and I highly recommend it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A sexy and quick romance read that I couldn't put down. I loved the characters. I was completely invested in these characters and didn't want it to end. There was the perfect dose of angst. I will definitely be reading more of this author!

I recieved a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is definitely more of a series of steamy scenes with a little plot thrown in.
Story ( ridiculous name that bugged me the entire book) is in New York because her estranged father had a heart attack. When kindergarten teacher meets hostage negotiator and her fathers mentee Daniel sparks fly. Daniel has a tragic past and is a playboy. Blah blah blah lots of immediate hooking up...she's the one.

Ok this book is just hot! I loved every second. The characters were well developed. The writing was solid. There was definitely some great conflict. The heroine is off limits because the hero works with her dad. Good backstory from both H/h. The sex was off the charts. This was a great book to keep me reading until the end! Huge thanks to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book!

Officer Off Limits is book 3 in A Line of Duty Series by Tessa Bailey.
Good thing this series can be read as a standalone.

I have read and absolutely loved all of Bailey's Contemporary Romance novels, and now I'm loving her super hot, sexy, alpha male, hot cop series. How am I just now finding out she has written these?!

Ginger couldn't pass up the purse full of money she find! $50,000!
This is the break her and her teen sister have been waiting for. She take the cash, grabs her sister and says Peace Out Nashville, Hello Chicago!
Being in one of the largest cities in the U.S. Ginger is finding out there is more to Chicago than big cities and skyscrapers! Yes! A lot more! And more like hot cops. Super hot cops! And it turns out one of those sexy looking cops happens to be homicide lieutenant Derek Tyler. Who happens to be Gingers neighbor.

My gosh y'all this had me sweating! In such a good way.
Woah! I'm still thinking about this book and the characters.
Freaking phenomenal characters, who have great banter and a steamy hot connection. 😍
And I'm going ahead and saying this now... Derek Tyler you Sir, are now my most favorite book boyfriend!
Damn, he was so hot in this book! 🥵
And that's why I love Tessa's books so much. I can literally feel everything her characters feel.
I can picture exactly what each one looks like. I can feel what each one is feeling and the way they talk holy cow all I can say is I didn't want this story to end.. Its like her writing seriously melts off the pages and into my heart and mind! It's crazy!
I love the possessive, protective, hot, wild, madly in love, dirty talking, will walk heaven and hell, alpha male characters. And Derek is heaven! Tessa has created one of the very best.
Ginger, I adored her. She is sexy, fun, wild, strong-willed and also a bit of a mess. I liked her toughness and wit.... She had laughing more than once... My kinda girl.

This is a quick scorching novella so it's easy and fast to read.
So basically I devoured and loved everything about Officer Off Limits.
I loved the chemistry, writing, characters, setting... Everything I loved it.
The writing was solid and the pacing was on point.
Bailey doesn’t disappoint with this novella.
She has written yet again another banger but this was different than what I've read of he before.
She brings the sexy, dirty, heat raising intensity who you just can't help but to root for an fall in love.

I wish I could have read book one first, but you don't have to read these in order.
How this ended up on NetGalley is beyond me, but damn am I thrilled it did!
Or I probably would have never come across this badass book!
*I hope they bring the others on here.... If not oh well I'm buying this series anyway!
I've got to stop now before I end up writing a book of my own here!

A new author to me, I’m not sure where I have been to have missed her!!

I really enjoyed this book, the right amount of drama, romance and littered with comedic parts that were LOL, the author absolutely knows how to bring her characters to life and makes them sufficiently complex that you really engage with them. I loved Daniel and Story as a couple, and totally loved Jack too.

Interesting side characters, steamy scenes that make you need a cold shower and a well rounded story line to boot

Well worth the read

Tessa Bailey will always be an automatic read for me! Officer Off Limits was a quick & steamy read! Daniel and Story had amazing chemistry. Even though this was a quick read, the characters had depth and were like able! This was another enjoyable book from Tessa Bailey! Loved it!!

I love most, if not all, of Tessa Bailey's works. This is no different. This honestly didn't have a ton of plot or character development, but the smut was top tier like always. Story and Daniel are electric and are immediately attracted to each other. Story can't say no to him. I love the forbidden trope and this delivered!

Such a steamy read! I’d say this book was 90% spice and 10% plot! I definitely have to be in a mood for this type of book but boy did it deliver! Very early on it was easy to figure out what the tension in the book would be but i still enjoyed it! The ending felt a little rushed.

Requested and downloaded this book back in 2013 with every intention of reading it but then it expired on my device before I had the chance. Have felt bad about that and as a result haven't wanted to leave a review but with more and more publishers relying on Feedback ratings I need to clear out some of these older titles in my queue.

For some reason I just could not get into this one. I was bored and therefore I did not finish it. I think this is a case of it's not you, it's me.

Thanks to the publisher for an eARC to read and give my honest opinion.

Pretty much a fence book. It was an ok read but it didn't really suck me in. Story Brooks is one minute getting dumped by her fiancé and next minute going to NY to see her Dad in the hospital. Once there she runs into a hostage negotiator that trains under her infamous Dad, and falls hard for him. It's a predictable read and just not a unique scenario. Three stars.

What did I like? Story and Daniel have good chemistry and a couple of their sexcapades are fun.

Would I buy this book? No, it didn't really hit any high notes with me and it was predictable.

Thoughts for the author? This author is a hit or miss apparently but I will still be looking out for her books.

This one just didn't work for me. Tessa Bailey has really been hit or miss for me lately and I didn't find myself connecting with the story.

Thank you for the chance to read it early.

Disclosure; Book was given to me from Publisher as a requested review. I could have kissed the publicist as I wanted this book…badly. No, they didn’t pay me. No, they didn’t ask me to write only positive things. Yes, I have fan-girled all over Tessa Bailey on twitter but do not know her personally.
OK, I’m going to lay it out there and say I hated the heroines name. I’m now moving on.
Now Tessa Bailey has put me an interesting position. I’ve given her past two books top marks but this one is the best so far. So good in fact, I thought about giving her five plus but then I decided that I wasn’t changing the review policy for one book. It is that awesome. It didn’t fit quite as well into the erotica category as the last books (the emotional subplots were far superior) but it is just as raunchy; it is panty-melting hot!
One thing I’ve noticed about the hero’s in these books is they like to talk dirty. Reeeeaaalll dirty. Daniel is no different but it comes across differently because he is so damn possessive. It sounds less dirty and more…Dom like. I adored him ‘cos that combination of angsty play-boy and Dom-like tendencies is cat-nip to me; I just can’t get enough of this type of character. He is a man who doesn’t think he is good enough. Due to a tumultuous upbringing, he considers himself damaged goods and so therefore is in no way fit to have a relationship with the lovely Story. He is, however, quite happy to take what she offers him for the time that he has her and what he thinks she wants him for is really dirty sex. From the initial 60 second challenge (that scene alone…guh!) to the downright dirty phone sex, they certainly make it count between the sheets and their chemistry was combustible. I love the sex scenes that this author creates; she is now auto-buy and I have very few erotic authors on that list.
Aside from the name, Story was a brilliant character. She knew what she wanted and knew to go get it. Her complete lack of sexual education didn’t stop her from being open to any and all experiences that Daniel wanted to give her. You all know I love a book where there is no sex-shaming and Tessa Bailey creates all the characters in her books to enjoy sex for pleasure … ‘tis awesome! Apart from this, I loved her for her complete intuition when it came to Daniel. The only thing stopping her from jumping into this relationship was the fact that she was relatively new to being single and she tried every which way she could to get Daniel to see this. She comforted him after his nightmares, she didn’t judge him for his past playboy ways and she was happy to tell everyone about him; they were very blatantly together even though they both saw it as sex with a sell-by-date.
Interestingly, I think there was also the set up for the next book in this one which, I think, is new for the series. I actually love the anticipation I feel for a book when I know who the hero/heroine are in advance 😀
Tessa Bailey has transitioned from author-to-watch to auto-buy on my kindle shelves. With vivid characters, ice-melting chemistry and one of the raunchiest baseball scenes I’ve ever read all featuring in this book, it is on my must-read shelf. If you like your books brimming with sexuality this is a book you simply have to try.
