Quick, sexy romance that did its job in helping me forget the world around me. And honestly that’s not an easy thing to do lately.
I love second chance romances, so after reading the blurb I jumped at the chance to read it.
As this was the first book in a series, my expectations weren't really high. First books in a series usually consist of introducing the major players in the series and they usually have a lot going on, so the romance sometimes takes a back seat to everything else.
This was a good read. It had all the elements necessary to keep me entertained throughout. There was the romance, a little intrigue, some humor and a bit of action thrown into the mix. Although the romance didn't take a back seat to the story, it wasn't epic or anything. Jude and Libby's romance was inevitable. They had chemistry, history and were thrown into a situation where it was easy for them to reconnect again.
All in all, an entertaining quick read. I can't wait to read more about the Wilde brothers.
Thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and give my honest opinion.
Sexy cover but it was the blurb that caught my eye. This is a great romance story of a second chance between to people with some serious stamina and chemistry. Jude is shocked when he realizes an ex from eight years ago is his new case. She is being terrorized by a stalker and he whisks her away to a safe house.
Eight years ago Libby put Jude behind her and the broken heart he gave her. Being taken to a safe house and having to be near him again puts a damper on that hindsight. Still attracted to him she offers him one night to get it out of her system.
I thought this book was fun and flirty. I enjoyed it and the chemistry between Libby and Jude. Four stars of entertainment!
