Unfortunately I did not want these 2 to get together. Jack was an opportunist and honestly left people high and dry when it mattered the most. Honestly it was not what I was expecting as a heist book but the mafia high stakes made me keep going.

’Til Heist Do Us Part by Sara Desai
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Pages: 366 / Genre: Romcom
A year after stealing a $25 million diamond necklace, the mafia boss they stole it from wants it back with interest. So Simi must get the crew back together to steal it back, but she and sexy Jack Danger are on the outs thanks to his former colleague and lover who either wants him back or wants him dead.
This sequel is just as fun, exciting, and sexy as To Have and to Heist was. I loved all the characters—Simone in particular, who would “never wear Gucci to a decrepit warehouse,” but did bring her Balenciaga trash pouch (Google it—it’s hilarious). Full of quick-witted dialogue and fast-paced action, along with fiercely loyal family and friends, this book has me wanting to read a lot more from Sara Desai.
Thank you, @NetGalley, @BerkleyPub, @BerkleyRomance, and @SaraDesaiWrites for my gifted copy. I loved it!
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was a lot of fun! It was filled with a lot of humor and I am always a fan of a good heist book! The author did a great job knowing when to use humor to diffuse a situation but also when to avoid humor in order to allow the tense moments to shine.
My main issue with this book was Simi. I just didn't vibe with her and every time a chapter in her POV would happen, I would read fast in order to get to Jack's POV. She just wasn't my favorite FMC.
loveeeee sara desai so much I loved the dating plan and the singles table so much, and I was so excited for this book. it's a romance but it's also got heists (who knew that would be something I'm into) and jewel thievery and murder and the mafia!! i also love the concept of the first book being a "how they got together" only to be followed up with a "they broke up but get BACK together" so unique and interesting.
jack, my dearest, he's not even a "bad boy" per se... but I would change my stance on bad boys for him. loves simi, does crime, but can't have both so he obviously chooses the girl but his past life won't let him go. normally I don't agree with blonde men but I agree with jack forever and always!!
simi, love my girl, and honestly if I was in her position I'd do the same thing too! calls it off with the man she loves because he can't give her what she wants, and I admire her for that but she is weak for jack (and vice versa). so much drama, so much plot, so many twists, so many things that go awry, so many near deaths... this book has got it all: cute romance of exes back to lovers and a cross-country heist to save their lives
5 Stars Thank you so much Berkley and Sara Desai for the ARC! 'Til Heist Do Us Part is non-stop action and a truly fun and adventurous plot. I love the idea of MCs who pull off heists and have never read anything like it before. A great balance of action and romance!
After their memorable and chaotic first heist, life has not gone as smoothly as Simi and the crew had hoped. All of them have used up their money and opportunity and are basically back to where they started. But when the brother of the mob boss they put in jail comes to Simi threatening revenge the crew must come together once again. With Jack back in town and his ex Clare part of the heist, Simi must confront her relationship with Jack. Will they be able to pull off the heist and get back in the Mob’s good books?
With laugh out loud characters and unending entertainment this crime romance made my heart so happy!
There’s nothing I love more than a good heist. 💕
Simi & friends are back and better than ever! I loved every minute of this caper from circus funerals to biker gangs to shipping ports to faking deaths and back again. This was an absolute shenanigan filled delight!
I’m going to need more of these @saradesaiwrites!
Special thanks to @berkleyromance for the ARC. This book is out today!
Another hilarious fantastic adventure with Simi's motley crew pulling off another heist. Jack and Simi break up much to the delight of a certain handsome detective that has a crush on Simi. One of Jack's former female associates is not disappointed either and unfortunately they need to work together to get what they want. I adore Simi's feisty spirit and her devotion to her friends. Jack is a bit of a rogue, but I can't help being a little in love with him. The secondary characters have captured my heart too, and these books are on my favorites shelf. I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Soneela Nankani and Andrew Eiden, and they are simply amazing as they voice so many characters so well.
I'm gonna just start out by saying I did not read the first book. But I don't feel like I needed to cause, this one did a pretty solid job of telling me what happened in it.
Anyway, I did not like Simi. And I was incredibly disappointed the whole book is basically in her POV. I was bamboozled by the book being opened with Jack's POV. BAMBOOZLED! I would have preferred not to have had that chapter, as I spent the entire book just waiting for another chapter from him to come up.
I liked most of the other characters in this crew of misfits. Simi is better than me cause I would have let Cristian die with the mob since he walked out. And [REDACTED] would be absolutely dead to me. Double agent or not, leaving me to die in a shipping container is not the move. Simone was by far my favorite of the bunch. I just KNEW there was something up with her.
All in all, this was a silly, goofy book and I enjoyed it greatly. Romantic comedies are my favorite genre, and ya girl loves a good heist. It was tense, funny and sweet in all the right places. I'm not opposed to reading the next book in the series, despite my dislike for Simi. Sometimes you don't vibe with some characters and Simi is that for me.
i didn't know this was a series and I feel like I needed to read book one before this one to fully understand what was going on.
I’d love a fun romance novel. We don’t get as many fun romance novels as we deserve. Sometimes there are thriller romance novel, but this was a fun thrill ride of a romance novel. There was so much action from the beginning of the book to the very end. The heist itself was so well written. But at its core there has to be a good love story and, Sarah Desai writes fantastic love stories.
Additionally, I love when there are compelling side characters who amp up the story. There were so many times when reading this book that I felt like I was watching a movie in my head. Having read Desai’s previous books, I knew I enjoyed her as an author, but I can’t stop gushing about how much I enjoyed this book.
Do yourself a favor and read To Have and To Heist first!
Thank you #Netgalley and Berkley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Classic heist/romcom with all the charm—fun, lighthearted, and thoroughly entertaining! Top-tier witty banter and great chemistry between the characters make it a delightful read.
Til Heist Do Us Part sounded good but unfortunately it didn't work for me. The first chapter was engaging and set the tone but then the rest of what I read didn't match that tone. I struggled to get into it and ended up throwing in the towel at 18%.
This book started really well. I loved the way the first chapter was written in Jack's POV, It felt like an action/adventure movie. However, that excitement felt flat quickly after. First, I realized that there this is not the first book in the series so I was a bit confused about the dynamic of the group as they seem to already have worked together before. That may have tainted my opinion. My biggest critic is how the characters were portrayed. Each one clearly had a stereotypical personality. The characters lacked tridimensional traits which made me cringe multiple times. As for the romance, I wished I saw more of main character's chemistry they kept saying they had. Since I didn't see their story in the first book (I assume it was developped there), I didn't really feel their love and passion. However, i did enjoy a few things. It had funny scenes. SImone was fun and the fmc's family were pretty funny as well especially at the end.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange of an honest review!
You definitely need to read the first book to understand some of what's happening here, but otherwise it's a relationship in crisis haphazard caper after caper after caper. Jack and Simi got together during their last heist, but things fell apart afterward. This is the story of both winning back Simi, as well as all their lives being in danger as a consequence of the last job. They are in a lot of danger from a lot of directions, and not everyone makes it out okay.
Jack is steamy in that hero in a movie kind of way and the couple here is definitely opposites attract (on the surface). Underneath, they are more alike than you'd think, and Simi does need a little more intensity in her life. The ending was absolutely adorable, and also left a cliffhanger for what might come next.
I'm a sucker for a heist romance and this checked the boxes!

Thank you to Berkeley Romance & Sara Desai for an ARC of ‘Til Heist Do Us Part! I’ve been excited for this sequel since reading To Have and to Heist last summer, and I was not disappointed!!
Simi and Jack… are on the rocks, but they need to work through their issues to pull off yet another heist. This sequel was full of twists and turns, some of which were predictable, and some of which gave me a good surprise!! It was action-packed, and never had a dull moment from start to finish.
Make sure you pick this one up on release day!!
Overall: 4.25/5
Spice level: 1.5/5
Tropes: heist, second chance, found family
Just like book 1, this one is a wild ride full of zany and quirky characters of a motley crew!
But that motley crew gets the job done, and is an unconventional family.
While there are comedic moments, there are also some somber ones, including off page murder and discussion of domestic violence.
For the romance portion, there's a slight second chance of sorts. I don't blame Simi for the break up. She has abandonment issues and was triggered. I did appreciate the way the teamwork brought her and Jack back together and that last chapter was so beautiful!
There was great character development among the whole group, and I'm curious to see what's up for the next book, with that open ending..
I honestly don't know why I did this to myself buy I had an arc and needed to read it. Again, I was so disappointed that this book just didn't work for me. The plot felt so all over the place and there was way too much time spend on side characters. I feel like they wanted to make it this fun and quirky crew but they were all so annoying and I found myself skimming though major sections of the book just to be done. Bummed that this one was a miss.
Oh was this so so so FUN!
I am in my mystery/romance era, and this one really hit the spot. It picks up about a year after where Sara Desai's To Have and To Heist left off. We are back with Simi, Jack and the crew and tbh I could not be happier.
While they all thought the riches from the heist would be lifechanging, the reality is a bit more complicated. They have returned to real life - and it has all been a bit harder for everyone than expected. Especially Simi and Jack, who despite having ral feelings have really struggled in their relationship.
So when the mafia shows up and threatens to off the whole crew, Simi knows its time to get the band back together again to return the necklace they stole. What she doesn't expect is Jack's ex - and all of her feelings for Jack generally - to return with a vengence.
I arrived at the beach yesterday and this book was the perfect way to kick off vacation! It was sexy, kept me on my toes and made me laugh. I ador the characters that Desai has created - quirky, fun and very resourceful - and the family they have become.
Massive thank you to Berkley and Netgalley (and author Sara Desai!!). for gifting me this early copy - 'Til Heist Do Us Part is out on TUESDAY! And if you haven't yet read the first in the series - To Have and To Heist - today is the perfect day to pick it up!
Thank you Berkley for the free book and to PRH Audio for the complimentary audiobook. These opinions are my own.
This is the second book following To Have and To Heist. It follows Simi, Jack, and their crew. You definitely need to read these in order for this book to make sense.
I have mixed feelings about romance novels in which the series features the same couple in multiple books. That tends to indicate there isn't really a happy ending for book 1. That's especially pronounced here. But I would also classify this as not really a romance. I was disappointed with the story arc for Simi and Jack.
But if you read this for the heist and mystery, then it is a fun and wild ride. I really enjoyed the new characters we met and seeing what happened to the original heist crew after the last book ended. The drama and antics were excellent. And there was such great tension and suspense for how it would be resolved. I enjoyed it more as the plot became increasingly ridiculous. It was a fun escape.
The audiobooks is primarily narrated by Soneela Nankani, returned from To Have and to Heist. I also enjoyed the addition of Andrew Eiden (one of my favorite male narrators) for just a few chapters from Jack's perspective. I would have enjoyed even more of a dual perspective.
