Book 2 in this heist series, and it was as funny and crazy and wholesome as the first book! I really love the found family dynamic in this series, and the romance and the banter are really cute. I believe there is to be another book? I am so frickin excited for it!

"Til Heist Do Us Part by Sara Desai is the ideal combination of romance, mystery, and thrills. This action-packed heist story immediately captivated me from the very first page with its exciting blend of romance and suspense. The chemistry between the characters adds an extra layer of excitement to this fun and engaging caper.

I feel bad that I've been in such a reading slump because I haven't been able to care about a lot of these anticipated releases like this one. I really wanted this one to be the one to break the slump, but unfortunately, this wasn't it for me.

IT'S HEIST TIME, BABY!!! Simi and Jack are back, rekindling their romance while they hunt down yet another diamond to steal. But this time, there's a mafia boss and sexy new nemesis to deal with. We're getting the crew back together (for the most part), planning and scheming, and of course... getting totally fucked over halfway, because that's the name of the game. While I missed having Rose on board, Simone was a fun replacement. I thought that the subterfuge in this book was amazing, be it on our team's end or against them. Really just impossible to put down, as is the standard with Sara Desai's heist books.

That ending was freaking phenomenal and I'll continue to be obsessed with this series until the end of time. (Also the devastation that there isn't a third book in the pipe yet.... Ugh)

A very fun follow-up to Desai's To Have and to Heist, this is another heist story featuring Simi Chopra, Jack Danger, and the ragtag crew they pulled together for the heist of the diamond necklace in the previous book. Simi and Jack are on the outs because he's never around, always traveling for his mysterious job despite his promises to Simi, and she's trying to focus on her event planning business which has somehow become a funeral planning business. Simi and her crew have basically all used their substantial cuts of the reward money from recovering the necklace, which presents a problem when a Chicago Mafia boss demands that they return the necklace to him. Unfortunately, the jewels are now in possession of one of Jack's exes/colleagues, and now Simi, Jack, and their crew have to work with her on a big con to rob a billionaire. If you liked the first book, you'll like this one - it has a similar zany vibe with the romance (maybe a bit spicier than I remember from the first book?) weaving into a complex, Ocean's 8/11/13 type heist plot. A fun read overall. Content warning: death.

Another great, fast paced, tale of a rag tag group of common people turned thieves. A quick paced, easy to follow and perfect sequel!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5

Main Themes Of This Story:
- Second chances
- Mission impossible
- Supportive BFF
- Realistic
- Lovable characters
- Banter 💯💯💯
- Adventure
- Mystery/Crime

What I Loved: Tons of crime, mystery, and drama in this book! Absolutely loved it, not only for the plot, but the most lovable characters. Sara Desai swiftly creates a compelling story that keeps you wondering who did it until the end. There was so much sexual tension, intense conflict, and a shocking ending to the plot. Let’s not forget a great push at the end for the next book which I am excited for. She definitely did not spare any steaminess for another day in this book, there was plenty to go around.

What I Didn’t Like:
There was a part in the book a jump from ch. 26 to 27, I feel that it left out some of the story. But then I see it all come together. Although this is done in television, I think in books it just leaves the mind to imagine what happened and this did not sit well with me because of it being a crucial moment in the book.

Good/Bad Ending: Great ending with hint of next book in series

Best Chapter: 29 😅

Vibes: Fast and Furious (Movie), Bonnie & Clyde, Sopranos (TV Show), Sons of Anarchy (TV Show), We’re The Millers (Movie)

Additional Thoughts: Keep in mind that this book is not a stand-alone read, but can be read as a stand-alone in my opinion because I did not read the first book in the series. at the start of the book, I was confused but was able to put two and two together because of the writer's ability to tell the story well without needing to have read the first book in order to understand this story.

DNF at 55%

I really wanted to love this book because the premise is a combination of two of my favorite genres, romance and heists! The way the heist is written, there isn’t any movement toward a positive resolution, instead of one step forward one step back to the end, it just feels like steps backwards, making it more and more complex. Simi and Jack have a fun romance but in this book it feels forced because she’s so angry and her can’t stop falling into compromising positions with him. The Simi from the last book had more of a backbone.

Til Heist Do Us Part revolves around event planner, Simi, and her ragtag group of friends who find themselves thrown into another heist following a mysterious murder at one of her events. The synopsis really had me intrigued especially in a genre that doesn't have much POC representation.

Unfortunately, although this wasn't marketed as a 2nd book in a series, I felt like you actually had to read the 1st book to fully appreciate the story. Additionally, as much as the story was predictable, it simultaneously felt all over the place at times. Overall, it was a fun read but didn't live up to my expectations.

DNF’d it at 10%. I liked the first book a lot but this one was too ridiculous from the start. I can absolutely see how it could be entertaining for the right reader though.

Cute and book in what I hope is a series. Always on board for a master plan and a rag tag crew. Did not immediately realize this was a book two but the background information was very easy to digest.

This was a fun book. The characters all had great banter with each other. There was truly some laugh out loud moments. The heist aspect was fun and kept me entertained. I didn't realize this was a sequel, so I think reading the first book would have helped make it more enjoyable.

'TIl Heist Do Us Part, the sequel to To Have and to Heist, brings us back to catch up with Simi and Jack and see where their relationship is going. It contains the same comic relief, romance, steaminess, and mystery that the first book had, but with new characters and a new heist to try to pull off. While it is as loveable as the first book is, some aspects of it just felt very much like the first book was being explained to me again. Since I had just read the first book, this had felt redundant and I definitely glossed over some things because I was skipping the summary of the last book that was sprinkled within the story. Overall, I did enjoy it and I would recommend it to others.

I read the first book ‘To Have and to Heist’ and love it so I knew I would love this one too. Even though we are following up with the same characters and our favorite group of misfits, you don’t necessarily have to read the first book, but you’d be missing out on all the fun of you do.

In this book, the necklace is missing again and a mafia boss, is threatening Simi and her group of misfits, the necklace plus interest or well we know how mafia bosses are. It wouldn’t end well.

After reuniting everyone one by one and their all too realistic ways of living ( they lived it up with their reward money and are back to square one) then band together to retrieve the necklace.

I loved following the group again and all the twists and turns. I couldn’t put it down. So fun and adventurous. Loved the romances and how almost everyone ended up with their own happily ever after.. I will always e rooting for Simi and Jack

Simi and Jack are back! Initially, when I began this sequel to To Have & To Heist, I was so upset to see how everyone's lives ended up after the events of the first book. But as the story got rolling, all the things I loved about the first book popped back into this one! Desai's characters are the best! To me, they feel real and flawed and at times, completely crazy. It was great to get the gang back together as well as adding in some others to the pack. I will say that the only part of her writing that I don't enjoy are Jack's chapters that he gets occasionally because it tends to be in first person and is typically a running list of what we missed or what we needed to get caught up on. I get that it is a way to give the reader more information about him but it brings me out of it every time! I both hope Desai allows her characters to be happy and writes more about them, which typically isn't possible with this kind of book. I very much enjoyed this series as all I wanted was a fun, romantic spy thriller to get past all the dark mysteries I was reading.

Simi and her ragamuffin crew are BACK! I adore this series - and my fingers and toes are crossed there will be a third book!
I adore the banter, the heists, the shenanigans, and the romance.
I will say, that I am a huge fan of this series so far and could see it being a great television show in the making, but this second book seemed to drag on a little bit for me...some of the plot could have been trimmed down. BUT, still a fantastic read. Bring on book three!

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley for an ARC! All opinions are my own.

This was a delightful follow up novel! The spice level increased from the first one which was fun. I love this zany band of misfits and would happily read 5 more books about their hijinks if they were as delightful as this one. It was wrapped up nicely in a way that if this was last, I would be very satisfied by this ending, as well.

I love a good heist and this novel had some ups and downs, but it's the perfect summer read! I was hooked from the first chapter, it really reminded me of a Ryan Gosling monologue and is delivered with flair from Jack our lead male character. Once the POV switched to Simi our female lead, we had to meander heavily through an ensemble of characters that at many times pulled me out of the narrative. The balance was a bit off and the narrative also re-hashes material from book one, please note ‘Til Heist Do Us Part is a sequel to To Have and to Heist. But once you get into the groove of the story you're fully invested.

This book gave me serious 'Ocean's and Fast & the Furious' feels, with the banter, great chemistry, and action. Thank you NetGalley and Berkley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
