wrong. I loved this one! Best friend’s brother, enemies to lovers and fake dating?! Yes, please! It was witty, entertaining, heartwarming and fun!!! The banter between Maggie and Brody was top notch and the tension was high!!! There is wedding shenanigans that had me laughing out loud, as well as some pretty tender moments that had me tearing up. I especially loved all the references to MQ’s other series. I love how she keeps you connected to past books and leaves you wanting more! If you are looking for a feel good book with snark, swoon and spice, look no further. Meghan never disappoints!!!

Meghan never fails to deliver a story with entertaining characters and hilarious banter.
I enjoy a good enemies-to-lovers romance, especially when forced-proximity is added into the mix. Meghan delivers these two tropes well with the added humor between Maggie and Brody.
Brody may come across as cocky jerk, but he definitely has some insecurities that make a him a bit more endearing than I anticipated.
Maggie definitely is the more outgoing of the two and has no problems going after what she wants, no matter the costs.
These two are not only enemies but they are quite opposite in a lot of ways and that adds to some interesting dialogue between them.
Overall, this is a great summer read. It is light and entertaining and readers will be flipping pages quickly.

Meghan Quinn is the ultimate rom com writer. This book was hilarious from start to finish!! The meet cute was unreal and the plot was so addicting. I loved the tension and banter. The MMC was so confident, I absolutely devoured this read. I cannot wait for the second book. 4.5/5 stars!

First of all, I LOVE Meghan Quinn’s books!! They’re always such a good mix of funny, spicy & super intriguing!! If I want to read a book that will get me out of a reading slump, I’ll read a MQ book !!
With that said,
The first 60% of the book unfortunately didn’t really grab my attention. It took me almost 10 days just to read this part.
During the first 60% there were so many situations where I felt really sorry/embarrassed for the mmc 😅🥲 the poor guy got no rest during his vacation. And some of these situations made me cringe a little 🙊
Then the last 40% hit & I was hooked !! Finished that last part in less than a day! The spice was 🔥🔥🔥 the chemistry between Maggie & Brody was beautiful & I think they’re so much better together!
Alone, they got on my nerves a couple times 😅
Overall I did enjoy it and now I’m probably gonna go read Hattie & Hayes story because I was so intrigued by them & a rockstar romance/age gap/enemies to lovers sounds amazing !!

Not my favorite Meghan Quinn book. I didn’t care for the main characters. I really tried to like Maggie and Brody, but never connected to them. The story overall, I give 3 stars.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Meghan Quinn has seriously outdone herself AGAIN with this outrageously funny story! What to expect? Forced proximity, enemy to lovers, brothers best friend, and some steamy scenes. The narration was the perfect choice for the characters. Highly recommend!

Bridesmaid for Hire is Brody "Freaking" McFadden (Maggie's brothers' best friend) and Maggie Mitchell’s story.
This was a slow burn read for me. Although Meghan Quinn does know how to bring on those audible chuckles and the laughter does start pretty early on. Hang in there it starts to sizzle about ½ through.
I really felt sorry for Brody, if things could go wrong for him, they did. He got a real beat down and his poor ego. Thankfully even though Maggie and Brody were not friends I think the goings on brought them together.
I liked their story. I would say that Maggie was the stronger, more personable person. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Meghan Quinn.

Bridesmaid for Hire is another fun, laugh-out-loud rom-com from Meghan Quinn! From reading another book set in the Almond Bay world, we knew Brody and Maggie were together, so it was fun going back and seeing how they got together.
And what a trip it was.
Both Maggie and Brody end up at the same resort in Bora Bora, both for different reasons...and at first glance, it appears they dislike one another. But one thing leads to another and they end up pretending to be in a relationship so Maggie can get into the wedding of the resort owner's daughter, who happens to be Brody's boss. They end up getting invited to all the wedding festivities, and Maggie ends up being asked to be a bridesmaid, as one of hers could not attend. From there, things go downhill for Brody (seriously, this guy could not catch a break), while Maggie was just loved and adored by everyone. During this time, the initially fake relationship turns very real...but just as they finally get to that point, things go very, very wrong for Brody, which causes him to accidentally hurt Maggie - which he said he would never do. And what he does to make up for that, just goes to show that Brody truly was a good guy.
I listened to this on in audio Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon were a delight to listen to as Brody and Maggie. Hearing Jason narrate some of those laugh-out-loud moments (i.e. the "snake" scene)...he just nailed those scenes. And then Erin during the family games scenes...I was cracking up so hard. It was truly enjoyable to listen to these two talented narrators bring these characters to life.
And all the new side characters that we were introduced to in this one...especially Hardy and Hudson...I hope this isn't the last we've seen of them!

This book is a perfect beach read. As with all of MQ's books, it's packed with heat, heart, and hilarious hijinx. Funny and full of feels, it's an essential summer read.

I almost forgot how much I liked Maggie... almost. She had me laughing and smiling throughout this book.
Brody and Maggie have history but their last encounter tossed Brody to the "enemy-zone". But when they find themselves in Bora Bora each needing something from one another things take an interesting turn.
Maggie is quick on her feet and steps in the save Brody all the while getting her foot in the door at the wedding of the century. Little does she realize that she just committed herself to Brody's side for the next 10 days.
In true Meghan Quinn fashion we get chemistry with humor and banter. I loved spending time with these two and catching up with our friends from Almond Bay. If you are looking for a new read this is one to grab.

Enemies to Lovers, Fake Dating, Brothers Best friend on a Bora Bora vacation!!
Full review on my TikTok

I had a blast reading and it is a new MQ favorite!
Maggie and her brother's best friend end up at the same wedding in Bora Bora and end up fake dating.
This was filled with lots of banter, funny and secondhand embarrassment moments, even some ridiculous scenarios (waking up cuddling his crotch) that still made me laugh.
I appreciated how the breakup played out. I have an issue with previous books where the MMC (especially the older one in an age gap) is a complete jerk and the FMC is so quick to forgive with little no effort from the MMC to deserve a second chance. I felt like this book showed such an improvement with that.
I also appreciated Maggie's brother not being weirdly possessive or toxic.
Overall a fun time and I loved it!

This might be my favorite Meghan Quinn book to date. Her banter is always top notch, but she took it to another level with this book. I could not stop laughing for most of this book.
This book follows Maggie, a wedding planner business owner on vacation in Bora Bora, and her brother’s best friend Brody, whom she formally had a crush on but hates his guts now. Brody ends up in Bora Bora at the same time to try and further his career, when Maggie attaches herself to him as his fake girlfriend to also try and take her business further. What follows is pure chaos with laugh out loud moments.
Of course there were great spicy scenes and some emotional moments with the story’s conflict. And the side characters and relationships between Brody and Maggie’s brother, and Maggie and Hattie that we got to see in “The Way I Hate Him” had me giggling throughout. This is definitely a must read! And crossing my fingers for Hudson and Hardy’s stories!
Thank you to MQ and her team for the opportunity to read!

Brody and Maggie are the opposite attract in every way. Oh, and let's not forget the forbidden brothers' best friend detail either!
Meghan never does things by half's and this one... dear Lord, I could not breathe for laughing so hard!. The pecker face cloth morning shenanigans.. died laughing. Legit hurt my ribs.
Brody wants to do everything right and knows exactly how to do such things. The only problem? He overthinks everything, and before he knows it, verbal diarrhoea is falling out, and everything goes Pete tong.
Maggie just has the natural gift of the gab. She sells herself without trying. She's a social butterfly and easily likeable.
She's control, and he's chaos. It made for a hilarious dynamic.
Their chemistry is undeniable, and the connection that blossoms amongst the chaos is precious!. I loved them. They weren't perfect, and in parts, I dislike both for their actions, but honestly, they were perfectly human, and it was easily relatable because, like anyone, they made mistakes. Sometimes out of anger and frustration, and sometimes they genuinely didn't mean to. I loved them for each other. I feel like they gave one another a sense of balance that the other was missing. They made me laugh, swoon, get frustrated and root for them. They made me feel.
Meghan, as always, gives us all the feels, and this is no different. We had a slew of really great side characters that added to the story. A hilariously dysfunctional journey of love that had me hooked from the beginning, and I will say it again.. the belly laughs!!!! Honestly.
I loved it.

I haven't laughed so hard at a book in a while.
I really enjoyed this story and the audiobook brought these characters to life perfectly.
I couldn't wait for Maggie's story after meeting her in The Way I Hate Him and it did not disappoint! She was funny and sassy! Brody was just as funny and cocky to boot. However, he was down to earth, kind, and an excellent book boyfriend when he needed to be.
I had the worst second hand embarrassment for a certain situation that Brody goes to! I was dying inside for him as he was going through it.
Between Maggie and Brody's chemistry, banter, and the way they navigate the unusual situations they find themselves in, I couldn't help but root for them to find their happily ever after!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

I have never wanted to become a part of a story as much as I did when reading this new phenom from Meghan Quinn.
The story of Maggie and Brody and their wild adventure in Bora Bora.
First the destination, Ms. Quinn describes it beautifully and easily places the reader into the world she created.
Maggie and Brody and the definition of a thin line between love and hate and to see their "relationship" develop was fantastic.
You are going to read absolute laugh-out-loud moments, the smexy times will have you grabbing your proverbial pearls in the best way and Brody takes the swoon level to the max.
Maggie is a real woman's hero, she is funny, she is confident and she will do whatever it takes to make her business and brand known.
The bromance between Brody and Gary has got to be one of the best that I have read!
Now this book can be read as a stand-alone, the story stands by itself easily, but as a huge fan-girl of Ms. Quinn, I loved seeing past characters, and past places make their presence known.
If you are looking for a perfect romantic comedy, do yourself a favor and get this book!

This was a fun read that's sort of set in the Almond Bay world. The first half was so much fun. It felt like The Unhoneymooners but with that special MQ charm T™.
The middle part did drag a little for me, but it ended up picking right back up and I was CACKLING. Brody and Maggie were gems.
Their love story was so tender and so sweet.

Fun, quick read by Meghan! Brothers best friend, enemies to lovers. I laughed till I cried. the banter between the characters was the best. 3.5 ⭐️’s!

This audio was soooo good! These two narrators bring this story to life and you can’t help but feel like you are part of this story. These two are my most favorite audiobook narrators and new this book would be everything I expected!
Oh, how I love this couple! Maggie and Brody have a past together that they just can’t get passed.
As Maggie’s older brother’s best friend, Brody is forbidden to touch Maggie! He had been told to stay away from her and he did just that until the day he had a moment of weakness. It just so happened to be at her brother Gary’s wedding. Brody left poor Maggie without explanation after the best kiss either had ever had.
When they cross paths again several years later, can they get passed their situation and actually get along? Can they work together towards a common goal to better their careers? It’s a bumpy ride that you won’t want to miss!! I absolutely love the intermingling of characters from other series living in this same world! Can’t wait to see what come next!
