Meghan Quinn’s newest release (and likely first in a new series) was a destination wedding based enemies to lovers rom-com. Maggie is a budding wedding planner trying to expand her business and she believes the way in is to partner with Hopper hotels. She makes her way to Haisley Hopper’s wedding and runs into her long term crush, Brody (her brother’s BFF). Brody is there with his own agenda – to get in front of the same CEO to help pitch his proposal for his organization. Maggie inserts hersealf to a bumbling conversation with Brody and the CEO and claims to be his girlfriend. When one of Haisley’s bridesmaids cannot make the wedding, Maggie steps in to help.
The activities during the week between the wedding party and guests are hilarious and a mix of athleticism and tragedy, and ended with Brody bearing the brunt of the injuries, both physically and emotionally. Little angst, some family drama and dynamics make this more interesting, and the intersection of past brothers with current siblings all made this a great read.

3.5 stars***
This is a cute, fun read for anyone who loves 27 Dresses or Anyone But You! It was my first Meghan Quinn book and I had a good time.
I did love it until about 60% and then it fell a little flat for me personally. I also didn’t love how all the conflict went down.
But don’t let that stop you from reading it if you want a fun, spring-y read!

Meghan Quinn is the Queen of Rom-Coms! If she writes it, I'll read it, no questions asked. She is hands down one of my favorite authors.
Maggie and Brody unknowingly find themselves at the same resort in Bora Bora. Maggie is there for a much-needed vacation, while Brody, Maggie's brother's best friend, is there to attend his boss's daughter's wedding. When they literally bump into each other, Maggie is less than pleased to have Brody's presence interrupt her vacation and quest for single men in Speedos. However, when she sees an opportunity to advance her business, she quickly attaches herself to Brody as his fake girlfriend. It turns out neither of them wants this arrangement to be fake.
I am obsessed! Meghan BROUGHT IT! Bridesmaid for Hire is hilarious! I was locked in from the prologue. There were times I stopped and re-read scenes because I couldn't believe something was happening or being said. The situations in which Maggie and Brody found themselves had me seriously laughing out loud. How does one go to such a beautiful place and have such bad luck? Poor Brody! I am a sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers and fake dating plot, and this story did not disappoint. Meghan always creates the best characters. I loved Maggie and Brody together. Their relationship was real and relatable. The side characters were also amazing and added so much to the story. The friendships and bromances in this story were so good. I need more of Hudson and Hardy! I enjoyed the enormous amount of humor, the witty banter, and the spice. Bridesmaid for Hire is a fun adventure and is the perfect summer read.
NARRATION:
This was a duet-style narration performed by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon. Their performance was perfect, and I felt like I was watching a movie. I could absolutely listen to Jason and Erin narrate every single rom-com I read and never get bored. They portrayed the characters and their personalities very well. Jason and Erin really made me feel the tension and chemistry between Maggie and Brody. The romantic, spicy, and comedic moments were expertly executed. The book alone is amazing, but the narration takes this to a different level.
Thanks to Meghan Quinn, Sourcebooks, and Bloom Books for the e-ARC and ALC. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Looking for a vacation-esque read that makes you feel the love and the heat? Maggie & Brody’s story is just that!
When Brody, Maggie’s brothers best friend, finds himself on a trip to try to wow his boss, he also finds Maggie, who is there to take a vacation away from her wedding planning business.
When a spur of the moment decision puts Brody and Maggie into a fake relationship and Maggie a part of the wedding party of Brody’s boss’ daughter, they get a week filled with wedding adventures as a couple.
And you better buckle up for those fun filled adventures!
The secret is… both Maggie and Brody have feelings for one another deep down but have never told the other. When their eyes are finally open, their chemistry causes sparks that leave you fanning yourself.
So can Brody pull off the kissing up to his boss to win the proposal? Can Maggie win over the Hoppers to better her business? You’ll just have to read this one and find out for yourself.

Lighthearted and swoony read, this story was the perfect addition for lazy vacation reading.
Lovable and likable characters, the imagery added to the story so I felt I was a wedding guest in the idyllic location of Bora Bora.
Hilarious snarky banter and yummy sexy times I thoroughly enjoyed Maggie and Brody’s story.
As a diehard fan of this author’s story an added bonus was seeing cameo appearances of characters from prior reads.
Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Another hilarious and spicy romcom by one of my favorite authors! Bridesmaid for Hire is an enemies to lovers brother’s best friend romance set against the island paradise of Bora Bora. I loved it so much!
Maggie is a workaholic wedding planner, who is forcing herself to finally take a vacation. While she is there, she bumps into Brody, her brother’s carefree & fun bestie, who happens to be attending the wedding of a prestigious and wealthy family that Maggie would like an in with. Brody is also hoping to impress this family as the bride’s father owns the company he works for and he is making an important pitch soon. He’s hoping that spending time with his boss outside of the office will help earn him some much needed favor inside the office.
Maggie and Brody had similar goals, but the two of them have such different personalities that it was so funny to see them collaborate. They also had great chemistry, and so much tension before they gave into their attraction.
I love the outlandish situations that get interwoven into this author’s stories. There was a particularly memorable island hike involving a snake that had me laughing so hard I woke up my husband, who was trying to sleep peacefully next to me. Poor Brody ended up in the worst (but also hilarious) situations. I also loved the appearances and mentions of other characters in the Meghanverse.
It is definitely a talent to make a reader fall in love with a character, but it is an even bigger talent to get us to hate them with the passion. Although Reginald (Brody’s boss) was no Halsey’s mom (IYKYK), I despised him so much. He was such a jerk, and I wish him a lifetime of accidental paper cuts made by file folders.
Overall, this book was a really fun read and I’d love to see more of these characters, especially the hot twin sons of Brody’s jerk boss.

Epic banter, hilarious situations, and steamy chemistry abounds in this heartfelt romantic comedy!
I freaking love Brody! He's adorably, sometimes awkwardly charming while also being a sexy hunk of a man. All the embarrassing situations he finds himself in had me snort laughing out loud! Maggie is one hundred percent herself and owns it. She's charming and hard working and I want to be friends with her!
I absolutely love the mutual secret pining these two have! Their fake relationship starts with lots of tension and jabs at each other, but one thing leads to another and secrets are shared. Then we get the steam and spice! These two are electric together both in and out of the bedroom. I love how easily they form a bond. Yes, there's some trouble in paradise but it's resolved so perfectly. Be ready to laugh, swoon, and fan yourself!
ARC review.

Who doesn’t love a good fake dating, enemies to lovers, brothers best friend spicy Romance? That is exactly what you’ll get with Bridesmaid For Hire by Meghan Quinn.
Set in dreamy Bora Bora, wedding planner Maggie Mitchell is there in hopes of accomplishing two things; getting her mind off work and getting laid. What she’s not expecting is running into her brother’s best friend and her nemesis, Brody McFadden. In a bizarre twist of fate, they decide to team up in hopes of advancing their careers by impressing Reginald Hopper during his daughter Haisley’s week long wedding extravaganza. Can Maggie and Brody fake it til they make while sharing a one bed bungalow and pretending to be a happy couple?
Meghan Quinn does an excellent job of writing slow burn where the payoff is huge. Bridesmaid for Hire was both hot and hilarious. It kept me smiling and swooning the entire time.
I love how the Meghan Quinn Universe connects through all the books. Bridesmaid for Hire ties in with the Almond Bay series and you can catch a glimpse of Maggie and Brody in The Reason I Married Him. It’s always fun to catch all the Easter eggs and cameos.
If you’re looking for a rom-com with the perfect blend of sweet and spice, I’d recommend checking out Bridesmaid for Hire available April 2, 2024. Both the paperback and kindle version feature illustrations and the audiobook is duet narration by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon. Say less 🫠

Ahh this was a laugh out loud story I very much enjothos story and these charaters highly recommended

This book was a laugh out loud enemies to lovers/brother’s best friend masterpiece. One of my favorite Meghan Quinn books so far.

I don’t know how Meghan Quinn does it, but she’s always simultaneously writing characters you’ll love and characters you’ll hate.
Bridesmaid for Hire is the first book in a new series, but it can be read as a standalone. It’s also tied to another series (Almond Bay), so there is some crossover.
Maggie and Brody were so fun to read about. I mean, the things Maggie said? All the pre-wedding activities she and Brody participated in? HILARIOUS 🤣 (well, poor Brody, but still…it was funny).
These two had so much chemistry, and being in a vacation spot perfect for couples really brought their chemistry to light. And spending all that time together fake dating made it impossible for them to deny the sparks between them.
Maggie was so bubbly and friendly, and Brody was grumpy and kind of aloof. But he was also funny and had a big heart.
This is full of that iconic Meghan Quinn humor and spice. There’s also drama and those moments where I was just thinking “what the f*ck?” Seriously, that one character 😡.
Anyway, I loved this book, and I hope other characters get a book too!

Obsessed with this book for a few different reasons, one because it is such an original way to do the fake dating for a wedding trope, adding in business deals, friendship, and so much drama I was hooked. I also loved Gary and Brody’s friendship, man those two made me laugh so many times and provided the perfect level of comedic relief.
Brody and Maggie have an amazing antagonizing relationship in the first half of the book that makes you want to savor their banter and antics, especially in the beginning. Once their relationship turns romantic though, they are adorable, and I love how seamlessly they transitioned, it felt natural. You can see their feelings for each other so well and you hurt with them as they navigate the things Reginald puts them through.
I hope we see more of Hardy and Hudson in future books cause they have fabulous potential, but I also hope to see more of Maggie and Brody too! Loved this book so much, and I know fans of Meghan Quinn are going to love this book too!

This was an exceptional book by Meghan! You have brother's best friend, fake relationship, and so much chemistry thrown into one fun packed story. Maggie and Brody are full of hilarious hijinx as everything that can go wrong does for Brody as he tries to impress his CEO. Maggie also wants an in with the powerful family whose daughter is getting married for her wedding business though he path is much more elegant that Brody's. Maggie and Brody antagonzie each other at the beginning but have that underlying tension that builds as they share a bungalow and bed. I loved Brody's jealous moments along with his passion for the wedding planner. Maggie is helpful and a hard worker. She's easy to love especially since she's so passionate about her business. These two had great chemistry and an emotional connection that simmered over time and the exotic location only adds to their magical love story. The third act was full of selflessness just hammering home how likable these two are while also giving us the magic that is brother Gary... Gary is a hoot and brought some needed whimsy and lightness in key moments. I also wouldn't be mad to see Hailey's brothers get their own story which usually means another successful book by this author.

“I’ve got her…I’d never let anything happen to her.”
Meghan knows how to make me LAUGH. I swear, I was reading parts of this aloud to my husband and I couldn’t stop laughing out loud at the ridiculous shenanigans Brody kept finding himself stuck in. And his ability to keep trying to bounce back? Inspiring…and I can’t say I’ve ever met someone with that much perseverance lol
This book was ridiculous in the best way. I love the adventures MQ puts her characters through, because you get a sense for whether or not they’ll truly stick it out for one another. It’s an enjoyable “trip” both on the page and in the experience.
I will say that it was a bit far-fetched...there’s definitely a need for suspension of disbelief in order to properly enjoy the adventures and mishaps, but as long as you can do that, it’ll be one hell of a ride!
Tropes:
- Brother’s best friend
- Fake dating
- Cinnamon roll
- He falls first
- Enemies to lovers

This book was absolutely hilarious! All the crazy stuff that happens to poor Brody had me laughing so hard. I loved Maggie and Brody together. I thought he was so sweet to her once he finally let himself be real with her. Maggie was like a ray of sunshine. I loved her bright personality. One thing I love about a MQ book is how many easter eggs she has in them. I wish I was completely caught up on her backlist so I could have caught them all!
Thank you to Bloom Books, Good Girl's PR, and MQ for this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book by Meghan, I was looking forward to reading Maggie's book as she is Hattie's best friend and was mentioned in her book. Maggie is on vacation in Bora Bora when the big Hooper wedding is happening at the same resort she is staying at.
In order to get ahead in her wedding business she offers to help out the bride and uses her brother's best friend Brody who works for the company and pretends to be his girlfriend. This book has Meghan's signature humor I was laughing in so many parts but it also brings the heat as well! I would definitely recommend this book as it was very entertaining.

Once again I was left thinking how much of a genius Meghan Quinn was several times as I read this book. It’s like the things she comes up with, both the crazy out there hilarious little debacles and banter, as well as just the perfect situations and backgrounds, even as they may fit into the standard tropes and such, they are still unique and different enough that I look forward to finding out just what she can come up with every single book. Of course the characters, Maggie and Brody were perfect as well.
First of all, there was the way Maggie would sleep, and how Brody woke up with her head on his lap on the mornings even before they were doing more than a fake dating relationship. I mean, who comes up with that, let alone does anyone actually do that? Because OMG I was dying laughing! And all the bad situations Brody kept getting into, the snake, getting sick on the boat, the spear fishing. He couldn’t seem to escape getting into these sticky situations every single chance he could, and so often at no fault of his own.
Secondly the chemistry between Maggie and Brody was off the charts as always with Meghan Quinn’s characters. Several scenes that had me fanning myself for sure! Even just ones where Brody teased Maggie and kind of left her hanging, yeah, I felt that too! The connection between them was perfect, and when they decided to go for the relationship, the way he made his mind up about her brother was so realistic and perfect in my opinion. I even loved how while there may have been that third act breakup moment for this story, it made sense in how and why it happened. Although maybe Maggie was a bit over the top for not giving him a chance to explain. I was extremely happy that the author didn’t do one of those things that made us wait and pine for a long time like she has done in the past. (I’m talking about you, Knox and Maggie – 8 years!)
And third, I have to mention that again I love love love all the supporting characters in this story. I mean Maggie’s brother when he found out mostly being worried that Brody would no longer keep him as his number one. And of course Maggie’s friend that we know from The Way I Hate Him, and the time we got to spend with her and her hunky Hayes. The wedding party was full of great characters, especially the twin brothers Hudson and Hardy that I hope get their own books too.
Now this is supposed to be part of the Almond Bay series, but I think this one is with a traditional publisher so is titled a little differently and not listed that way. But our characters are connected to them, and we get to spend some time with those other characters in this book. I did also check with the author and I guess this will be the first one in a new series as well! And when I finished the book, I have a feeling who the next book might be about. Another winner from Meghan Quinn, and now I guess another series from her I will be devouring as she writes them!

Running into Brody McFadden (her brother’s best friend) while on vacation in Bora Bora was the last thing Maggie Mitchell expected. Finding out that he is there for his Boss’ daughter’s wedding may actually work in bother their favors. After all, this is being touted as “the wedding of the century”, and this could help catapult Maggie’s wedding business – Magical Moments. And well, Brody is looking to prove himself useful as he has a proposal to present when they get back. For the sake of both their careers, they decide to pretend to be dating, and that they don’t have animosity towards one another. Tensions rise as years of pent up feelings are unleashed behind closed doors. Sparks fly the more time they spend together pretending to be a doting couple.
High-jinx and hilarity ensues. Can these two get along to ensure they both can get ahead?
You definitely should one-click this one! And seeing all the book connections was perfect.

What a fun and hilarious book. I loved Brody and Maggie and all their shenanigans. I really felt like I was in Bora-Bora with them for all the outrageous adventures. This brother’s best friend/fake dating/hate to love romance was top tier Meghan Quinn. Four stars

Bridesmaid for Hire was an absolutely delightful and lighthearted read. Just another great hit by Meghan Quinn!
It’s dual POVs of the main characters, Maggie, an event planner and Brody, who’s looking to convince his boss of his business proposal.
There were some great tropes as well like, one bed, fake dating, forced proximity and brother’s best friend.
The overall premise was so enjoyable. Maggie and Brody having to navigate the chaos of a high-stakes wedding while also figuring out their feelings for each other was absolutely entertaining.
There were some heartfelt, spicy, lighthearted and laugh out loud moments. The pacing and all the side characters were also great. The tropical setting was just an added bonus.
One of my favorite aspect was how unlucky Brody was throughout the trip. He was definitely put through the wringer, which lead to some embarrassing and hilarious moments.
The romance between Maggie and Brody was a bit slow paced but so well worth it. Their chemistry, tension and banter was top notch. The spice did not disappoint as well.
I will say though, I wanted a bit more emotional communication/development between them, as at times their romance felt just physical.
There was a bit of drama and conflict at the end. It was a bit unnecessary and rushed in my opinion but nonetheless still interesting. The ending and epilogue were really sweet though.
Overall, just an amusing read that I would highly recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
