Meghan Quinn is the queen of rom-com. Her stories make me smile and laugh and Bridesmaid for Hire did just that. In fact, I was laughing out loud through many parts. It is pure romantic comedy and then some.
We first meet Maggie and Brody in the Almond Bay world but only very briefly.
Maggie has her stuff together. She is a wedding planner and trying to take her business to the next level. She is taking a much-needed vacation to Bora-Bora.
Brody works for Hopper Industries and is getting ready to make a proposal for pop-up storefronts in San Francisco. His boss sends him to the company's owners daughter's wedding in Bora-Bora.
Maggie overhears about the wedding festivities and wants to crash hoping for her big break. Brody is attending the party and Maggie sees him and pretends to be his girlfriend. Brody is Maggie's brother's best friend. The two have always been attracted to each other, even crushing on each other. They shared a kiss before, but that is as far as it has gone.
What could go wrong when you pretend to be girlfriend/boyfriend and end up filling in for a bridesmaid that cannot attend the wedding anymore. A week of fun laughs, mishaps and romance ensues.
Bridesmaid for Hire is an enemy to lover, fake dating, brother's best friend story. It is a fun story that will make you laugh, has great banter, chemistry and swoon worthy moments. A definite read from me and I cannot wait for more in this world.

Bridesmaid For Hire is event planner Maggie Mitchell and her brother’s best friend Brody Mcfadden’s enemies to lovers story. It’s book one in the new Bridesmaid For Series and if this book is anything to go by Meghan Quinn will certainly have another hit series on her hands.
Brody and Maggie can’t bear to be around each other but as we all know there is a very fine line between love and hate or should I say lust and hate. A hook up could be just what they need to scratch that itch and Bora Bora is the ideal location but what happens when feelings come into play and will Brody be prepared to risk the friendship he has with Maggie’s brother….one click to find out.
This was an entertaining, enjoyable story that ticked my boxes. It took me some time to warm up to this couple but once I did I was fully invested. I laughed, I swooned and at times I wondered if this couple would ever get it right. A great read that I highly recommend and I can’t wait for what’s coming next in this new series from the queen of romantic comedy.

I received a copy from the publisher through Net Galley.

Maggie owns a wedding planning business, and she is burning out. So, she is taking a vacation to Bora Bora to reset and have some fun with men in speedos.

But that plan all comes to a halt when she sees her brother’s best friend, and her sworn enemy, Brody. He is there for the wedding of the CEO of the company he works for. And when Maggie sees an opportunity to insert herself and possibly get some exposure for her business, she pretends to be Brody’s boyfriend.

Now they must spend all of their time together. Which can only bring disaster. And it certainly does. All the unfortunate things that happen to Brody, really aren’t funny for Brody, but you bet your bottom that I was cracking up right along with Maggie.

The forced proximity between these two only brings them closer and all of that anger and angst turns into some really spicy scenes! The mouth on Brody really came out of nowhere and I loved that!

But will these two be able to translate from a vacation fling to a real world romance? Or are they doomed from the start?

Loved both of these characters individually! They are both hilarious characters that brought for some real laugh out loud moments throughout the entirety of this book! Poor Brody, but not really because it made for some great moments.

I loved Brody and Gary’s friendship in this too! I thought it was so sweet and real and not something that you generally read out in male dominated friendships.

There’s so much to love about this book. Who doesn’t love a destination wedding! And in Bora-Bora, just paradise. There’s a few tropes to love as well, brothers best friend, fake dating, enemies to lovers and maybe even a touch of second chance romance.

Brody and Maggie gave as good as they got. Each time they encountered the other, it was on like WWIII. Which means in book terms, loads of fun banter and high jinks, even if some felt a little over the top. Brody couldn’t catch a break and somehow I think he’s lucky because if he did, it would have been an arm or leg…that’s how bad his luck was. Even with Maggie by his side, which only made him look smarter and better, he still couldn’t keep out of trouble. I did love his vulnerability though, it always works for me. I truly believe if you can’t be vulnerable, you can’t love deeply. And that’s how he feels about Maggie, even though he’s tried to fight it off for years. Maggie on the other hand can only see red when it comes to Brody but when the opportunity arises for them bother to prosper, she’ll fake it till she makes it, literally.

I was worried what was going to happen towards the end, but I was happy with the total outcome. It was fun reading the cameos from MQ’s other novels and it brings it full circle for me. Hints at other book/s ahead have me very interested as well. This is a classic MQ rom-com, and if you’re a fan of hers or new, I recommend reading this book.

Another one for the books!!

When Brody ends up in Bora Bora trying to convince his boss to go ahead with his business proposal, he ends up running into his best friend’s younger sister whom he’s been in love with for years.

I loved this book! It was nonstop laughing and ridiculousness. Our MMC Brody was quite the character with his embarrassing mishaps, comedic energy, and dirty talk in the bedroom 😏 Maggie was a headstrong badass FMC. I loved seeing her character arc and her vulnerability. Also like the tropes in this book are TOP TIER.

TROPES: best friends brother, age gap (7 years), fake dating, guy falls first, praise kink, one bed trope,

I had a really fun time with Bridesmaid for Hire! While I wish Quinn would write shorter books, this still hit the spot. I especially loved the hero.

I adore MQ and will read anything she writes. This series is a little more slapstick it seems, I enjoyed it but everything was Brody seemed a bit over the top. He was sort of a doofus, I wish he’d stood up for himself more but I understand it was needed for basically the whole plot of the book. I loved the steam and chemistry!

Meghan Quinn’s latest laugh-filled rom-com was just what I needed to make me smile and forget about life for a while! I immediately fell in love with Maggie and Brody as they "pretended” to date on a tropical island paradise, while at the same time, attempting to network with one of the most successful businessmen in California, who also happened to be the father of the bride and not the most likable human being. Maggie has known Brody for a long time because he is her brother’s best friend and a man she has always swooned over. Brody is seven years older than her but that never stopped her from having sexy dreams about his devilish grin and ripped body. She never could have imagined that he would appear out of nowhere on her “I want to be alone” vacation and push his way into her magical bungalow, with his messy suitcase and tacky linen suit. What a way to ruin a vacation but things eventually did go Maggie’s way when she was asked to be a stand-in bridesmaid and assist with the wedding festivities. Maggie and Brody were quickly invited to all the wedding party events, where they were forced to put on a little display of affection so their new friends wouldn’t find out they were there under false pretenses. The hot sun and chilled cocktails worked their magic on Maggie and Brody and they soon began having fun, laughing at bad jokes and enjoying all that the tropical resort had to offer. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and as the wedding day approached, tempers flared, private information was shared, and the bubble of happiness popped for Maggie, Brody and their new friends. Will anyone leave the island with a smile on their face or will the infighting and deception ruin their happily ever after?

“I hate you so much.” He grins the most annoying grin ever presented to another human. “Not as much as I hate you.”

The begging of the book was very interesting, I could feel the hate chemistry between Brody & Maggie. Their banter was fantastic and those little adventures they went on with the bride's family were really funny but it put Brody in so many embarassing situations. Brody & Maggie were both meant to be funny and quirky characters and while I liked Brody, I hated Maggie equally. Brody was just innocent and his humour was over the top. Whatever came out of his mouth just made me laugh but Maggie on the other hand was insufferable. She was mean, rude, unacring and the way she tried to portray as if she stood by Brody's side throughout it all was so astounding because all she did was taken advantage of him being invited to the wedding and impose herself upon him, telling embarrassing stories about him to his work colleagues (she did not even think how it'll affect his image in front of his boss) and was always fighting with him. All she did was misunderstand him at every chance and then run away without letting him explain. I feel like this book was very unserious and filled with comedy so everything was taken lightly but what happened with Brody and his boss made me feel so sad for him. The boss was a real piece of shit and constantly kept jeopardizing and ridiculing him. I sympathized with Brody which is why I liked him more but to be honest, he was quite cringey and practically a man child. So no characters were perfect in the book but the humours situations saved it's essence. While I enjoyed reading some parts, the book just wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be tbh. Overall, it was a 3.25 star read for me.

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review

4 Stars Meghan Quinn truly cannot write something bad. No matter what she writes I will read it and am guaranteed to love it. Her newest book, Bridesmaid for Hire, is not exception to this rule.

Luxuriating in the Bora-Bora sun, wedding and event planner Maggie Mitchell needs a break and plans to do nothing but relax and hook up with a guy in a Speedo. But when her brother's best friend (and her years-long crush), Brody McFadden, walks by her at the resort, her plans are upended. The two are sworn enemies now, especially after he kissed her at her brother's wedding then ghosted her. Brody's presence offers her a unique opportunity--he's there for his boss's daughter's wedding and they are short one bridesmaid. Maggie steps in, offering her services and pretending to be Brody's girlfriend. Both Maggie and Brody want to get in with the company and boost their careers, so they agreed to pretend to be together for the wedding and Brody will stay in Maggie's bungalow...with her and only one bed. Tensions rise as years worth of resentment and feelings come to a head, with the close proximity making things worse. Spark fly between Brody and Maggie, but everything they've worked for might just go up in flames.

Bridesmaid for Hire is an action packed book, especially the third act when all the drama goes down. I truly believe there's never a dull moment in a Meghan Quinn novel. This book also had a lot of my favorite tropes, including brother's best friend, pining, forced proximity, only one bed, fake dating, and cinnamon roll MMC. Finally, a Meghan Quinn novel wouldn't be complete without three things: spice, witty banter, and hilarious text messages. You're going to love this one!

Maggie is a wedding planner who is taking a much needed vacation when she comes across her brothers best friend, Brody. This leads to them fake dating for the benefit of their careers…however, things don’t always happen as planned.

I really enjoyed both Maggie and Brody. Despite their dislike for each other you can feel that there is chemistry between the two of them from the very start.

This was a fun story that was full of great chemistry, fantastic banter, a tropical setting, and some spice sprinkled in.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, fake dating, brothers best friend, rom com check this one out.

Meghan Quinn does it again! I loved all the cameos (but you won’t be confused if you read this as a standalone). This also made me want to hop on a train to Bora Bora stat. The tension and the banter is top notch.

Thank you Bloom Books & Meghan Quinn for the eARC!

Meghan Quinn does it AGAIN! I adored Bridesmaid for Hire. No one writes a crazy romantic comedy quite like Quinn does. I had vacation envy, people! I would have loved to have been relaxing in a pool chair next to my husband while watching all of the shenanigans Maggie and Brody found themselves in the middle of go down. Instead, I enjoyed the story from inside while it rained outside. I'm not complaining at all because Bridesmaid for Hire was such a good time.

The plot was entertaining.
The setting was enviable.
The main characters were lovable.
The side characters were great.
The antics were priceless.
The laughs were endless.
The longing was desperate.
The chemistry was palpable.
The denial was fierce.
The giving in was oh so fun.
The romance was swoon worthy.
The HEA left me wanting more time with all of these people.

I only have one big complaint. MEGHAN QUINN! HOW COULD YOU NAME THE EVIL CO-WORKER DEANNA??? My name makes its debut in a Meghan Quinn book and she's a horrible person. *CRIES* I guess I'll forgive you since you did include it.

That pretty much sums this book up without telling you anything about it. If you like fun, flirty, feisty, and fiery reads you will love this book.

This was such a fun read that I enjoyed from start to finish! When you look for the definition of awkward moments you will find Brody's picture included in the definition.

Maggie is a wedding planner that is on vacation to an exclusive resort to relax and recharge from her stressful wedding planning business. While sunning herself she learns that a prestigious family is on the resort for their daughter's wedding and she decides that she needs to make her presence know in the event that they need any assistance as a possible means to promote her business. What she did not expect was that she would end up teaming up with her nemesis - her brother's best friend and a man that she has had feelings for and a brief small moment with.

Brody goes to the wedding in hopes of getting the ear of his boss as a means to get ahead for an important presentation that would lead to a promotion. He never thought that he would run into Maggie or that they would have to work together to achieve their goals. Unfortunately for Brody the partnership does come at a price - many embarrassing moments at his expense and an attraction to Maggie that he can no longer fight.

As I said before, this was one funny read. The banter between the characters was highly entertaining and that is before the things that happened to Brody. The chemistry between them was off the charts and palpable at moments. Their story flowed well and wit the supporting characters I feel that there could be another series from just them. I also felt that the mention of characters from other series that Ms Quinn has penned was like a homecoming even thou the mentions were brief. My only wish is that this book came before the book The Reason I married Him so that there was a better explanation for Brody's character in that book even though he had a small part in it.

Overall this was a great read that I would recommend to others.

“Sometimes, opportunity falls in your lap, and you have to seize it”

Words cannot express how much I LOVED Bridesmaid for Hire. It was laugh out loud funny and gave me all the feels. I laughed until I cried at one point in the book. Maggie and Brody are so much fun together and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

“I’m distracted by you. I can’t think with you around. And whenever I see you, my mind goes blank, my heart thumps in my chest, and all I want to do is hold you…even when we’re not pretending.”

The push and pull, enemies to lovers relationship between Maggie and Brody was done to perfection. Their snarky banter and hilarious mishaps made the book so entertaining and the chemistry and longing between them sizzled. The supporting characters were absolutely amazing and I’m hopeful we will see all of them in future books. Bridesmaid for Hire is the definition of a read that is full of heart, humor and heat and it is absolutely one of my new favorites by an author that I always love.

This is probably the shortest Meghan Quinn book I’ve read. I truly felt it was rushed, especially the ending.
I laughed and swooned for sure. The MMC was a goner and I liked that the brother was not the conflict. Still really enjoyed it but I wanted more.

Meghan does it again! She has gifted us with another hilarious yet gripping romance with characters that I couldn't help but fall in love with.

4.5 ⭐

For anyone that is a Meghan fan and has read her Almond Bay series- then you already know Maggie and have seen her and her boyfriend together- but now we get to see all the magic of how Maggie and Brody went from enemies fake dating to being in love. If you haven't read the Almond Bay series- no worries- but what are you waiting for?!

I love so much about this book- the banter between Maggie and Brody was perfection, the outrageous situations that Brody seemed to attract were absolutely hilarious and while this is a bit of a slow burn there is so much chemistry, sweetness and passion simmering just below the surface the entire time that I savored every moment. Maggie has this fabulous energy, she's magnetic and sweet with this sassy, saucy edge to here when it comes to Brody. Brody was this interesting mix where he actively denied his feelings, tried to exude competence and confidence while he was really just a bundle of nerves. But when he stops worrying about how he's perceived- that's when he turns into this incredibly sexy and swoony guy.

This book is adorably fun and I love the budding relationship but the the secondary characters were some of my favorites! All of the characters were so endearing (with a couple exceptions of course 😉) though I'd have to say that the bromance between Brody and Maggie's brother Gary was nothing short of amazing.

I'm so excited to see that this book has a number one next to the series title because I cannot wait to see what else Meghan will dream up for this offshoot of her fabulous universe!

Before I get into my review, when I pulled the book on Goodreads, it says book #1 and that made me so happy! I thought this was going to just be a stand alone that just hangs out in the MQ universe, but no, we get a whole series!

This book was so much fun! You get a tie in not only from Almond Bay, because Maggie is Hattie's bestie, but also from the Cane Brothers series. It's so over the top at parts, I literally laughed out loud multiple times. Brody was crazy. So funny, so dumb, so attentive, just a crazy mix. Then, there were illustrations that were in just the perfect places. I absolutely loved it. I have not read a Meghan Quin book and not loved it, you can never go wrong with her books.

Meghan Quinn has done it again and I am HERE FOR IT!
Maggie and Brody are hysterical on page and you just can't believe the things that happen in this book, but then again you do. You know what else Maggie and Brody are on page? They are HOT! Oh my goodness the two of them are next level. This book that is a brother's best friend/age gap/fake dating romance will have you LAUGHING out loud and eagerly turning the page to continue the story. I also absolutely LOVED the blending of two MQ worlds...you will have to read to find out who! Basically, Tl:dr I loved this book.

Thank you Good Girls PR and Meghan Quinn for this arc!

This book was so much fun and steamy. It is set against the backdrop of a vacation wedding as the fmc Maggie is a wedding planner who is taking a much-needed vacation. She meets her brother's best friend Brody who she has always disliked and they bicker their way into a fake dating agreement for the benefit of both of their jobs/careers. I enjoyed the vacation setting, the wedding hijinks, the chemistry, and fun banter and actions between the main characters. The forced proximity brought about the only one-bed trope and it had the classic MQ steam in it. The last act of the book had a lot of drama and work shenanigans that was a lot but made sense in the context of the book. If you like books that are a lot of fun with steam and a good story you should check this out! Thank you Good Girls PR and Bloom Books for this arc for an honest review.
