I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

I got through books 1 & 2, of the Plated Prisoner Series, and I wasn't sure what to expect going into Gleam after coming from Glint. Like, I thought we were ready to stop...and then it got way better. It was already pretty good, but this was the book that made me like Auren. I was already invested heavily in the side characters, like Lu and Digby, but this was the book where Auren's trauma actually built to something beyond her feeling sorry for herself. I also really, really like Digby and Rissa and my heart just hurt for them here.

Thank you Netgalley and Bloom for the ARC. Honestly one of the best series I've read this year.

Can’t get enough of this series! A fantastic retelling of the King Midas story. Great character developments and plot, still so many twists and turns and more mysteries to uncover. Looking forward to the next installment!

This is one of my favorite books in the series. I love the growth of Auren, and while we get the backstory of her and Midas’ relationship, she is starting to see it for what it is as it unravels. And is starting to grow and break free into her own person to form a healthy, mutually shared relationship.

Auren is back with Midas again, this time fighting her inner demons and slowly - very, very slowly - on a character growth journey. Slade and Auren's romance is the shining light of this novel. This series has a great premise but would have benefitted greatly from a talented editor to help shape the story. This book slogged on endlessly, and much of it could have been cut or consolidated. That said, I continue to appreciate the slow arc of Auren's journey and plan to continue reading the series.
