Annie finds herself stuck in a time loop on Christmas Eve, reliving the day over and over. She is able to make small changes as she relives the days and tries to find a way out of the loop.

Cute concept, but unfortunately the execution wasn’t great for me. I didn’t love the flashbacks, which felt awkwardly placed in the story. The dialogue felt stilted and unrealistic, and I just found myself struggling to get into this one.

I just love Ginny Baird and Christmas Eve love Story is her latest book. It is a do over book, which I love.

day repeating itself over and over again? Then you will enjoy this book. Annie has to go throw Christmas eve twelve times before she can move on to Christmas day. It's a cute story about loneliness, friendship, love and to make the best you can in every situation. My problem with time loop stories is that I get bored after a while... I just want to skip the rest of it and just reading the ending to see how it all will end. But overall a cute festive book with the perfect amount of Christmas feeling.

This is a cute story that incorporates Groundhog Day and Miracle on 34th Street. Annie is a window dresser for an important department store. She wants a promotion and thinks that the front window display will help her. Unfortunately, the Christmas Eve day isn't going as planned. Her supervisor calls her in for a meeting that instead of the promotion is about maybe laying her and others off because of weakening sales. Then the window display is wrecked by a couple of boys chasing each other around. She gets help from the department store Santa who tells her something that will help the display be more real. Braden, the department store security person, also helps her. She meets him in an awkward way in the morning because of her purse upending. He helps her gather things up and they later meet at lunch. Annie also begins to meet her neighbors. Certain things start happening over and over but Annie is able to change some things. Braden has an attraction to Annie but also has things in his life that he has to work through. I liked how Annie grows each day and connects with everyone. I understand the 12 days of Christmas link but I think it would have been better with fewer days. All in all, I did like this book. I received an early copy from Netgalley to read and review. I'm leaving my honest review.

Christmas Eve Love Story is a Groundhog Day-type story set in a department store in New York City. It was a sweet, cozy read with found family, which I loved, and Christmas magic. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Such a cute love story. Really liked the setting and the story of the characters.

Love the cover!

DNF at 35%. This is a little too Hallmark for me. It's wholesome and sweet, but has no edges. There is NO banter, largely because Annie and Braden are doomed to repeat their conversations and because this Groundhog Day situation is also the first time they've ever met, they just trade small talk. This book is so dull and dry.

My Christmas loving heart didn’t care it is only September. I love a good holiday read. This was just okay for me though. It was too long. This was a cute Christmas story but it really got repetitive after a while

This was a fun little romance with a bit of 50 First Dates. It was a heartwarming story about love, friendship, and of course, the holidays. It does have the third act conflict so avoid if you're not a fan of those. Otherwise definitely add this to your winter TBR

On the first Christmas Eve, Ginny Baird gave to me a heartwarming page turner of a book.

Annie is a window decorator for a department store in New York City (which let's be honest, hooked me in right away). She's trying for a promotion, but nothing on Christmas Eve seems to be going as planned. So when she wakes up the next day to a repeat of Christmas Eve, she finds herself striving to make this one better, along with handsome security guard Braden.

This book is sure to get anyone in the Christmas spirit, with its swoon worthy romance and the entire vibe of Christmas, The amazing thing is that nothing feels formulaic in this book, and I found myself needing to read more to see what would happen next to our beloved protagonist.

Ms. Baird also does a wonderful job of making readers think about what could happen in their own life if they stopped rushing from one thing to another. As my favourite singer would say, it's about the walking in-between. It's those moments when we slow down to immerse ourselves in the present that ends up being the best gift.

Grab a cup of hot chocolate with a candy cane stir stick, and allow yourself to be enveloped in the genuine joy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

3.5 stars
A wholesome Groundhog Day-style love story about a young woman repeating Christmas Eve until she finds everything that has been missing from her life.

There's a major storm about to hit New York City on Christmas Eve and Annie, a hardworking department store window designer, had been hoping for news of a promotion before heading home to spend Christmas Day alone with her foster cat. When a couple of rambunctious boys destroy her window display, Annie receives decorating tips from the store's friendly Santa Claus and help from Braden the friendly security guard to set everything to rights before she leaves for the day. The next morning, however, Annie wakes to the realization that it's Christmas Eve again and finds herself stuck in a time loop that she's not sure how to get out of.

This is a sweet Christmas romance and a heartwarming story of friendship, love, community and the magic of the holiday season. A quick read that's perfect for anyone looking for a clean romance!

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for sending a digital ARC of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

3.5/5 - My Christmas loving heart doesn’t care that it’s barely September, I was obsessed with the holiday vibes of this. Unfortunately it was just simply too long.

I do understand the whole ‘12 days of Christmas’ thing, I really do, but Annie did not need to live Christmas Eve a dozen times. Half of that would have been perfect - not too repetitive & not close enough to 12 to feel like a missed opportunity. The days started getting rushed with a ton of details cut out near the end of the days, because the reader obviously didn’t need to continuously read much of the same thing (even though there was still a lot of that), it seemed stretched out just to purposely make it 12 days.

I didn’t love the ‘third act conflict’ because it felt like it was kinda there just because it’s typical for there to be a conflict in a romance novel. It seemed out of character for Braden. But the way it was resolved was good, so I appreciated that.

I really did adore the ‘found family’ aspect with Annie’s neighbours. I loved them all and the bond they formed with her and each other. The Tina storyline was an important topic but seemed like it didn’t add much to the story. Again, this book was just too long for my personal preference.

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of this book! I voluntarily read this book, and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this story. The 11 Christmas Eves between Annie and Braden definitely got to know what was next but not what would be added. The Santa Clause had me believing. Couldn't wait to see what would happen when it finally became Christmas especially with the way Braden and Annie left things. All I can say is that is had a great ending. A VERY GOOD READ

It's Groundhog Day meets Christmas Eve. Annie Jones, Annie Jones is the window display person at Lawson's. She's expecting to be promoted but the news she gets is not what she's expecting. At the same time she meets Brandon Tate, the security guard. Enter Santa. With his knowing smile and a wink, the trajectory has been set. She will keep reliving the day until she gets to the sign inside her snow globe she received for Christmas when she was nine. It says "Believe". By the twelfth day she has finally figured it out and tell Santa. Everything has been going her way. Her confidence level has been restored and her best friend has responded to a text. Hopefully in the future, she will have the love life she deserves. Santa has plans and with sleigh bells ringing, everything turns out the way it was supposed to.

What a repeatable five-star read. Annie Jones is someone we could all try and become, she may not start the day off right, but she surely ends it right in the end. Each time this day repeats you would start to lose your mind a little, but Annie doesn’t, she just keeps getting the day and the display together again and again and just keeps going, that strength is just amazing, and I was so glad that she had the ending she deserves in the end.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Annie enjoys her job at the local department store. It seems that the days are all same. This was a quick holiday read.

Very enjoyable holiday read. Centered around Annie stuck repeating Christmas Eve. I liked how she tried to improve each day, connecting with neighbors, building on a new relationship, and never losing hope. A different type of Christmas romance that I really enjoyed..

Very cute holiday story!

If you are a fan of Groundhog Day, you'll enjoy this book. This book will warm your heart and make you believe in the magic of the holidays.

I really liked Annie's character. I thought she was relatable and easy to root for. The reader had to figure out the time loop with Annie which was interesting too. I felt this was centered more around Annie's personal journey rather than the romance she has with Braden, so if that's not your thing beware. However, I did like the romantic storyline. I thought it was very sweet.

A great holiday read!
