This started out really strong for me. I was behind Cordelia and what she was doing. I also hated Simon from the outset...but I started cringing for the last half of the book. I felt like there were several loose ends dangling at the end. And the end that were tied were just a bit too convenient. I guess the ending didn't feel as well thought out as the first half of the book.

Clever and fast paced. I loved Cordelia.
Good and unpredictable twists. This is what I want out of a thriller. I hope there is more to come.

this girl’s a killer✨| ARC review

i simply could not get this book out of my head. anytime i wasn’t reading it, i wanted to be! this is such a key element to a great book for me.

i loved cordelia’s character and the storyline kept me hooked. i physically felt anxious and on edge trying to figure out what would happen next. this was the perfect rooting for the “bad guy”(who really isn’t) type book, and the writing style flowed so wonderfully. i felt as if i were actually there and experiencing everything. a great blend of humor and thrill.

this is perfect for my thriller girlies, and if you liked the show dexter!

i absolutely need more books from emma wells🤩 (maybe even a cordelia series???👀)

five star rating from me🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Irresistibly clever and sure to spice up the female serial killer, out to get revenge on bad men theme we have seen pop up more and more in recent thriller reads. Fantastic writing by Wells, the reader is instantly immersed in Cordelia Black's shoes from the first page, and they are amazing shoes btw :)

Thank you Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the advanced digital arc!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing this book, with my honest review below.

I loved This Girl’s a Killer by Emma C. Wells! This book has similar tones to Jane Doe where we follow a serial killer with good intentions but deadly execution in Cordelia Black. We learn more about her childhood as the book continues and how she got to the point of killing, but the parts where she justifies her murders and how she goes about it I deeply enjoyed, as well as diving into her psyche.

When her close friend, who she views as family, Diane, and her daughter Sugar get caught up with a suspected bad guy Cordelia is sure to take action. But under her own moral code certain steps need to be taken to prove out he deserves it, which was fascinating. I enjoyed getting a look into Cordelia’s brain and the various conflicts in the plot, and I think any fan of a true psychological thriller will too!

Wow! Cannot believe this was a debut. This one is absolutely going to be a hit.
I'm obsessed with Cordelia Black and I was hooked immediately. It's a perfect female revenge story.
This woman could not have an ounce of good luck to save her life and the anxiety I felt had me stuck to
my Kindle just dying to see what happens next (pun not intended).
If you're into strong female leads and have an unhealthy love for Dexter, this is a must read.
This is up there with one of my favorite books this year so far and I cannot wait to recommend it to everyone.
Looking forward to more from this author. Thank you, Poisoned Pen Press for the widget!

5 stars for this masterpiece! The thriller aspects were truly thriller. The plot twists couldn’t be guessed. The FMC was so unique. When I wasn’t reading this book I was thinking about this world, the characters and what was going to happen next!!

I loved this book so much! I could have sat and read this in one day if I had the time!!! As a debut novel, Emma C. Wells is going to be on everyone’s radar for many years to come.

I had an absolute blast reading this book, it’s Dexter meets Legally Blonde and anytime there’s a female unaliving bad men I am here for it! Cordelia is a queen honestly and her story had me biting my nails and on edge hoping it all worked out for her as she dished out justice on those who deserved it. Honestly loved what she did with their blood after, is that odd to say?! Anyway, a fun and chaotic ride and I really enjoyed every second.

Reminiscent of the “Dexter” series, “This Girl’s a Killer” delves into the life of Cordelia Black, a pharma rep by day with a dark secret – she also happens to be a serial killer. This was such a cleverly crafted revenge thriller and a very quick read.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity to read and review " This Girl’s a Killer” before its publication date.
