Well-researched, and quite accessible. Engaging.
Nice to read a book about Lincoln that covers mostly-forgotten aspects of his presidency. The focus on domestic politics in Lincoln literature is understandable, but LINCOLN IN THE WORLD reminds readers and scholars that the President and his cabinet still had to deal with international relations.
Recommended.
