My Perfect Marriage is another fabulous domestic thriller by the very talented AJ Campbell. Ms. Campbell will take you on a twisty rollercoaster ride from page one right up to that mind blowing ending. It is well written, fast paced with well developed characters. I tried many times to figure this one out but always got it wrong so I gave up and just kept reading (and listening) to see how it played out. Highly addictive and unputdownable, the family drama and mystery are unbelievable….it will make the hair on your arms stand up!! This is an excellent story if you are a thriller fan, it will knock your socks off!! I also had an audio copy and the narrator truly added to the feel of this one. Kudos Ms. Campbell, you have an excellent one here!!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture, Bookouture Audio and AJ Campbell for the honor to read and listen to this thrilling one!! I was not disappointed!!! The opinions expressed are strictly my own.

Solid psychological thriller where you won't know whodunnit until the end. There are twists and turns as the story unravels at an even pace.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

At first, I’m sure he couldn’t have done it. The man I love wouldn’t hurt anyone. But as I try to prove that he didn’t murder Lucy, secrets begin unravelling…
It starts with the messages between the two of them. Initially, they seem innocent enough. But the more I look, the more I become convinced they were having an affair. Then I find out about his divorce lawyer…. 📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕📕 Well this book certainly kept me on my toes and had me guessing until the very last page!! I’m usually good at sussing out storylines lol - I watch too many dramas 📺 😂😂 !!
The characters were very believable and likeable ( well apart from one later on!🫣). You never really know someone 💯 % do you?! Even if it is someone you love 💔 .
Buckle up, cosy cover, cosy socks, get those feet up and enjoy!! 🔥 🧦📕.
Holy Moley! This domestic thriller has it all! Full of lies, secrets, deceit, betrayal and murder I couldn't get enough!
I read this well into the night as it kept me needing to get to the explosive end.
You think you know who you have married but do you really truly KNOW anyone. That is what Ashley must decide about her beloved Danny. Filled with so many twists and turns this one will keep you reading well into the night.
I highly recommend this one for al the domestic thriller lovers. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
this ismy firtst book by aj campell ,so thank you netgalley for the arc .i really enjoyed this book. this is a whodunit type of story about a husband who is supected of killing his wife best friend. soon after she discovers he been keeping secrect from her.there a reference to a villiage that i thought was super intresting. i loved the characters looking forward to reading more from this author
The book started off really well, with an inciting incident where Ashley finds her husband standing over the dead body of his childhood friend with a bloody hammer in his hand. He says he didn't kill her, he just found her like that, but can he be trusted?
I felt like the story became overly repetitive and I found myself quit bored and wanting something new to happen. I didn't really like any of the characters and wasn't that invested in the story. Something was just missing for me with this one.
Overall it wasn't a bad book though, it was a solid thriller but not my favorite one.
Holy crap!! This book starts off speeding and doesn't let up off the gas until the very end! This one was full of twists and turns. Everything I thought to be true was WRONG! Once I started this one, I couldn't stop until it was over. It was such a tornado. It was so gripping!
Danny and Ashley seem to have the perfect life until Ashley's best friend Lucy is found murdered, and it looks like Danny did it. Will Ashley believe him when he says he didn't do it even though it looks like he did?
Campbell did a great job at developing the characters and the plot in this book. The characters were well developed, and the plot moved at a pace that made this one hard to stop reading. There were twists and turns with an ending that will leave your mouth on the floor!
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for granting me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
I actually listened to this already under a different cover and title and was unaware this was the exact same book, I purely picked this because of the author and after starting it I knew it was familiar! This is a wonderful thriller and will definitely be reading more from the author in the future and I'm not sure why the title and cover was changed but anyway fantastic thriller and highly recommend. I would give this 4.75 stars and thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this arc.
When her husband Danny is accused of killing his best friend, can Ashley help uncover the truth?
Danny and Lisa have been best friends since they were children, but when Danny is found above Lisa’s body, full of her blood and a hammer in his hand - how else does it look?
Ashley is sure he’s innocent, but as the hours go by, she uncovers so many secrets he’s been keeping from her - is Danny capable of murder?
This book had me gripped from the first page, I really love AJ’s writing style that has such an effortlessly way to keep you gripped and feel as though you can totally relate to the story.
Interesting thriller with lots of twists and secrets. Plot driven storyline. Ashley and Danny both look so brilliant together at the start, but as the characters unfold, it quickly turns out that you can't know what's happening in someone's mind. Although I guessed the outcome, I enjoyed it. Recommended for the domestic thrillers fan. Thanks a lot to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.
Thank you NetGalley for the free copy of the book!!
This book was a quick, but awesome thriller read! I was guessing til the very end. While I could slightly predict WHO did it, I didn’t predict WHY or any of the details!! It had me wondering and questioning after I had finished!!
Overall this is a good, fast paced, entertaining thriller. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll say it felt anticlimactic. I binged read this, so it is enjoyable, and would still recommend.
I finished this book in one setting, it was full of twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting and even though I figured out who was the killer I was surprised by how the events unfolded. This was a fast paced psychological thriller that will keep you engaged and wondering why some things were happening.
3.5 stars.*

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The book was very fast paced and I enjoyed most parts except for the ending, it was unconvincing and felt like the author just threw all the build up of the characters, to shock the readers.
Not me sounding like a broken record, BUT ……… this is my favourite book so far, by this amazing author!
I was instantly hooked by the prologue, I had to resist skipping to the end to find out what happened sooner! Throughout I couldn’t figure who done what, why certain characters acted they way they did, right up to that ending 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 especially the background characters and their reactions to events, both in front and behind Ashley’s back.
This thriller perfectly brings together lies, control, anguish and underlying deceit for a completely justifiable reasons…. well to an extent! The characters have such depth as you learn about their past and present. The personalities of Danny were thought provoking.
This is a must for thriller fans, add it to your TBR.
A very good domestic thriller and a one sitting read for me. Ashley lives in Thyme End in the South East of England with her husband Danny and son Elliott not forgetting Rufus their dog. Danny and Ashley run their own marketing business from home. Life is busy but so enjoyable. Until…
Briefly, their idyll changes when they attend the birthday party of their best friends daughter. Lucy and Lee have thrown a massive party but the joy changes rapidly when Lucy is found dead in the garage and Danny is standing over her covered in blood and holding a hammer. With Danny arrested Ashley is struggling to hold both her private and business life together. Matters get worse as she starts to uncover secrets held from her. Does it mean Danny is guilty or innocent and can she prove either?
Written from Ashley’s POV this was a well paced read that started slowly and really ramped up as the story progressed and what great characters. Very good twists and turns and I just couldn’t make up my mind if Danny was guilty or not. As the story moved towards its conclusion I thought I had it sussed, and I did, in part! Only in part! A good read.
Ashley and Danny were together for a long time, she always had trust issues because of her past. The day that her friend Lucy was murdered and her husband was accused of it, her trust issues came back. I enjoyed reading this book but the story felt a little repetitive sometimes. I didn’t expect that ending. It was a quick read and I recommend it if you want to read a quick mystery read.
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this arc.
Overall 4.5*
This is a good solid tense psychological thriller which has the reader constantly unsure of who to believe and who is actually guilty. The author certainly throws in lots of diversions to make you question yourself about some of the characters - not all of whom are likeable!
Many thanks to the author and Netgalley for the ARC to review.
Is it possible her husband is a murderer? Ashley can't believe that her husband murdered Lucy but as she starts digging she has doubts and exactly how close was the relationship between Lucy and her husband? OMG! This book had me enthralled! My favourite read of the year so far! I stayed up all night reading. It started out like a simple murder mystery and very quickly became layered complexly. The pace speeds on so fast that I found myself flying through it to get to the pulse pounding end. I thought I had worked it out and I am sad to say that I had picked the wrong culprit. The person that I thought was guilty was completely innocent. The ending was so unexpected that I am still sitting here in shock trying to process it. A thriller that keeps you on your toes!
Having read all of AJ Campbell’s books so far, it was a no brainer for me to read the new one. AJ Campbell is an amazing author who, despite you feeling you have it all figured out, makes you realise that even if you do it is not how you expected! I loved this book and very much felt sorry for Ash. The ending was explosive but also suitable for the story. If you haven’t read all the other books by this author go and find them now…she’s brilliant!!
