This book definitely kept my attention! Some of the story was predictable, but it still kept me engaged to see what would happen.
Brilliant thriller that keeps you on your toes throughout the whole story. Great writing and plot. I was hooked the whole way through
This author knows how to grab the reader by the throat and the heart. You'll want to binge this story in one sitting. You won't see the twists coming! A fantastic read!
I enjoyed it a lot and it held my interest. It was a quick easy read with many twists along the way. It kept you guessing all the way to the end.
Honestly, honestly going into this book, it gave me one of my Author friends Kirsten Mogdlin Vibes it was so good. I loved it so much and I definitely will be buying us for shelf.
I adore Ruth Heald. You can usually read her books in one sitting, and this was no different.
This was another fantastic twisty, gripping, and suspenseful read. The characters were fantastic and perfectly written.
Some of the drama had me gasping out loud and releasing the breath I didn't know I was holding.
Loved it.
Brilliant book, had me hooked from the start. Plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing throughout. Great style of writing
Having previously read some of this authors books, and loved it, I could not wait to dive into this one. It held my interest from the very first page and I couldnt wait to have time to read it. She will have you guessing all the way to the end as per usual. Highly recommend.
This was just a book I could not finish. Maybe at a later date I will be able to finish it and change my review and rating. But with what I have read thus far I couldn't continue.
However thank you NetGalley and Booktoure for the opportunity to review this book.
‘Leave my wife to me. I’ll get rid of her.’ As she discovers her husband has been having an affair she is devastated and shocked. But not only is he having an affair, not only is he planning to leave her, he wants to get rid of her too, There and then she decides its war. She will play the dutiful wife, pretending that all is well while she plots and plans against him. No way will she let him ruin her life, take her children and possibly kill her! So, what would you do if you were in this position? Would you lie, deceive and so everything to keep your children and yourself safe from your husband and his mistress, who want you gone. Twisty and turny - really enjoyed it
Jen a dedicated housewife and mother is married to Rob who works as the boss at an estate agents, he is also a prolific womaniser - unknown to Jen. They live in a sought after upscale penthouse apartment that Jen keeps spotless.
Jen soon notices that Rob is spending more time away from home under the guise of work appointments and meetings.
With her 2 best friends she discovers he may be cheating and is conflicted on what to do - does she stay with her husband or does she leave?
The book flows really well for the first 3 quarters of the book - the last quarter I found slightly far fetched and a bit too convienient but it was enjoyable.
A good quick read.
This was a top notch book! I thought it was going to be a typical domestic suspense but boy was I wrong! The character development was great and the twists were executed well.
This book follows Jen, who quits her job to focus on being a wife and mom, only to face lies and betrayal from her husband, Rob. It starts slow, introducing characters and building the story. Then, BAM! A big surprise shakes things up, and the pace quickens. The second half is a wild ride, with everyone trying to outdo each other. I had no idea who would win in the end. Even though I had guesses, I was wrong.
The story of a terrible man who brings three women together. How does a cheating wife get away from her husband when she is financially dependent on him and they have young children? The story is sad because it’s true. So many people stay in bad relationships because of this need but it doesn’t make it right. I enjoyed the story but it could have been fleshed out a bit more in parts.
Gripping, I really enjoyed this book. Jen and Rob appear to be the perfect couple with a perfect family. But appearances can be deceiving - as deceiving as Rob!
This book makes you want to keep reading, to see what happens next. It was fast paced and I’d certainly recommend it.
I have read a few of Ruth Heald's books and enjoyed every one. Can't wait for more.
Thanks to Netgalley, Ruth Heald and Bookouture, for an ARC in return for an honest review.
This book kept me engaged and did provide a thrill. It was a little predictable, but loved the main character and the way she seemed to grow throughout the book. Would recommend!
A great story with twists galore. I loved it. This is a book that I would definitely recommend.
Many thanks to Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC in return for an honest review
You can always count on Ruth Heald to write a fantastic story and My Husband's Affair is no exception. It was full of twists and turns, many quite shocking and kept me gripped throughout.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.
I can’t help feeling like this book could’ve been better than what it was. The storyline was good, it was just far too predictable and the ending tied up a bit too perfectly. Even the twists weren’t really twists, easy to guess what was happening throughout.
I was a little disappointed unfortunately.
