Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book releasing 10th April 2024.
This book started off strong and managed to stay strong throughout the whole book. The writing style was easy to read and chapter length was perfect for me as I enjoy short enough chapters.
The characters were likeable and I found myself rooting for certain people.
I highly enjoyed the book and would recommend reading if you enjoy domestic thrillers which leave you guessing..!
I finished this book last night, and it was so good. I've read many of Ruth Heald's books, and she hasn't disappointed me yet.

I absolutely loved the premise of this book. A domestic thriller that takes a look at marriage, friendships, gaslighting, betrayal, and revenge.
Jen's life appears to be so perfect. She has a loving husband, three wonderful children, and they live in a luxurious penthouse in the city. Rob is a real-estate broker /property developer, while Jen decided to take time off to be a stay at home mom.
She is s blissfully unaware that her husband is a serial adulterer.
However, what happens when she does find out about his deceitful behavior kept me turning the pages!
Ruth Heald has a way of capturing the raw emotions of her characters and making you feel them through her words. I loved the side characters Natasha and Amy, who brought so much to the story. Each has their own uniqueness. The underlying deception, fraud , affairs, and unthinkable betrayal turned this story into the perfect storm.
I was hooked from the prologue and never lost interest..
Fans of Freida McFadden, Jessica Payne, and Sally Hepworth will enjoy this book

A great crime thriller with some unexpected surprises. This one was similar to some of my favorite thrillers by people like Freida McFadden. I really enjoyed this one. At time I felt like I was going crazy cause some of the characters were a little kooky and definitely needed some therapy. I think the ending was pretty well written and although it wasnโt some big ending it felt finished in a very satisfying way.
Wow! What a great book! So many lies, thrills, and all the drama! I could not put it down. That ending thoughโฆ ๐คฏ๐คฏ
I didnโt think there was any shocking twist at the end of this book like most psychological thrillers that I read, but I was interested enough to read this book within a couple days.
What would you do if you caught your spouse having an affair?

My husbandโs affair - Ruth Heald
Pub Date: 10 Apr 2024
Jen and Rob seem to be married happily. Jen is taking care of the kids and all of the chores at home in their luxurious penthouse and Rob is a manager of a successful real estate team. Jen should be the happiest woman alive, but her world shatters in pieces after she finds out Rob is betraying her. Jen is eager for revenge to make him pay for his betrayal.
This is a fast paced read with many twists. At the start I thought it would be a thriller like many others, but it surprised me in a nice way where the plot went. I really loved it and from that point this book was unputdownable for me. It was one big emotional rollercoaster! Iโm a sucker for revenge tales and this one didnโt disappoint me. The ending felt a bit unrealistic to me though, but still a big ๐๐๐๐ read.
Many thanks to @netgalley and @bookouture for this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. โค๏ธ
I loved every minute of this shockingly twisted thriller! Ruth Heald is an author I will read without knowing anything about the book. Itโs an automatic โbuy nowโ. It brings the saying to life โ donโt get mad get evenโ. I was cheering on Jen every step of the way. Rob was a character that was so narcissistic, I literally wished him the worst karma imaginable. A fast read with a wickedly entertaining plot.
This was a quick and easy suspense/thriller book. I finished this book in under 3 hours. The plot twists were ok. I felt everything was kind of wrapped up in a red ribbon at the end of the book. This book felt kind of lumped in with a lot of other thriller books where the reader is unsure if the husband cheats or not, & how will the wife get her revenge. Overall, a decent read & page turner.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this. Jen is married to Rob and they seem to have the perfect life with 3 kids, her a stay at home mom and him, working as an estate agent. As the title says, Rob does have an affair but the author Ruth packs so many layers on it that makes you believe one thing and as you dive deeper, you don't know what to feel anymore about anyone. She is amazing at developing characters where there were a few times I was about to throw my Kindle across the room. The feelings and beliefs you have can change pretty quickly.
This book is billed as a totally addictive and heart-pounding psychological thriller and it certainly lived up to that claim. From the first chapter I was completely hooked. The plot unfolded at pace and the short punchy chapters kept me entertained. I read this book in less than a day as I found I couldnโt put it down. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.
I stare at the messages between my husband, Rob, and another woman, their plans to run away together brings tears to my eyes, as I stand trembling, in our luxurious apartment. I thought I had the perfect marriage. As our three beautiful children sleep soundly in the room next door, I think about our family holidays, our romantic date nights, and the day Rob proposed to me. In the last few months, I haven't complained about his late night meetings, or got jealous about his weekends away. I trusted my husband. But now I'm questioning everything.
This is a story of betrayal and revenge. The characters are well-developed. Rob is a womaniser, but he makes his wife, Jen, believe he is the perfect husband. But now she knows he's not as perfect as he makes out,
This fascinating read held my attention throughout. I loved the author's writing style, and the way the plot developed in this psychological thriller. The pace is fast, and the twists kept coming. Just when you think you know where this story is going, a curveball comes along, and you're off in a different direction, and nothing seems as it was.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #RonaHalsall for my ARC of #MyHusbandsAffair in exchange for aan honest review.
This was my first book by this author, and Iโll look for more books by her in the future. I loved the short chapters that kept me wanting to read โjust one moreโ chapter. I never would have guessed the ending. Many twists and turns kept me on my toes the entire time leaving the reader not sure which characters to dislike! Thanks for the ARC!
Wow, I loved this one! An absolute page-turning, outstanding story that you won't be able to put down! When I tell you my jaw dropped, it was like something from a cartoon!
I read this book in less than a day, with about 4 hours of total reading time and I had such a difficult time putting it down. Character development was on point, with twists you won't see coming! I made some guesses as I was reading and while I had a few things right, I was not able to figure everything out, which is one of my favorite things when reading thrillers. I loved the writing style, the short chapters, and the movement of the plot.
The plot explores the trials of marriage, secrets, betrayal, revenge, mistrust, forgiveness, quick-wittedness, and the complexities of having your cake and eating it too. They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but what happens when you are so self-absorbed and selfish that your opponent entirely outwits you?
Huge kudos to Ruth Heald for this gripping story, I will definitely be checking out her other books! And a huge thank you to Bookouture for letting me review this book as an arc!
Wow! What an emotional rollercoaster! One minute you're on one side of the fence about a character, the next minute you're on the other side! And this happens for more than one character! There are also many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it figured out, more twists threw me for a loop! This is a great, fast read!
Oh what a tangled web we weave .... The love triangle is crazy and keeps you on your toes .. definitely a fast read/page turner. The last 60 pages or so you can't tell what will happen!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was a fast-paced domestic thriller that I couldnโt put down. The characters were well developed and they felt real. Although I could see some of the twists coming, it was well written.
This was a good read for me and I will look for more by this author.
A completely gripping psychological thriller about unthinkable betrayal by those you love the most, perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell, Claire McGowan and The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rose.
4 stars
Oh the scandal! Now this had me hooked. It took a wee bit to get comfortable with all the characters and all the povs but they were all very well written and brought to life. The individual povs certainly gave the characters dimension and humanity. The lies, love, secrets, revenge and more just kept creating the most jaw dropping moments through this book and I loved every second if it! It's well written and just so perfect for summer!!!
This wasnโt as fast paced as Iโd hoped, but I still enjoyed it. It does get a bit confusing with the multiple POVs, and found myself having to check was pov I was reading a few times. It had twists I didnโt see coming and thatโs why it got a 4. It was addictive and exciting. I would recommend reading this book.
This was a fun read that I finished over a couple of days; it kept me engaged with various elements. I enjoyed the character switching and the time point of view that changed almost every chapter. It made me want to keep reading to find out more about what was happening! The twists were brilliant, and I wasn't expecting them!
This was my first title by this author and I enjoyed it! Solid 3.75.
This one took a little bit to pick up for me, but unexpected twists throughout, and interesting character dynamics, kept me engaged until the end. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, Heald threw another curveball.
My Husbandโs Affair explores themes of marriage, betrayal, friendship, love, and revenge. I enjoyed the complexities of each character and getting to learn their secrets and see certain events from their POV. I did find the ending somewhat anticlimactic, but all in all this was a fun read.
