this book was absolutely amazing! and it was my first by this author & it definitely did not disappoint.

the amount of rage i felt throughout this book and the plot was just absolutely astonishing. i literally didn’t want to put this book down haha!

Ruth Heald. You know how to make characters feel real, so much so that I hated (yes I said hated) the husband. He acts so innocent and makes Jen believe he is the perfect husband but yet he is a WOMANIZER.

I loved this book. The writing, the twists.. everything. It's an amazing psychological thriller. I completely recommend

If I must say this is one of the best books that I have ever read. It filled me full of emotions, shock, rage, sadness everything.

At one point near the start my heart sank and I was very scared of what might of happened.

This is a book that once you pick up it will remain in your hand until you finish the book as you will be wanting to find out what is going to happen.

I haven’t heard of this author before but I know them now and I will be reading every book that they bring out because they know how to write a brilliant book.

Ruth Heald is great at writing a complex and twisty thriller and My Husband’s Affair is no exception. Jen and Rob seem to be on the up and up, moving to new penthouse and taking care of their three children. But Jen is clearly being gaslit and controlled by Rob and the blinders don’t really come off until she discovers his affair. This may sound run of the mill but the devil is in the details and the details here are interesting enough to have kept me glued to the page. You won’t find anything earth shattering, but Ruth Heald adds enough twists and mix ups along the way to have this on my shelf as a solid thriller.

My Husband’s Affair seems to be a simple story of a cheating husband and his put upon wife. Rob and Jen certainly fit the picture. She’s a stay-at-home mother with three small children. He manages a successful real estate team and is a property developer. This situation would almost be a cliché but… Rob is a serial adulterer who lies constantly and is believed by his trusting wife. Jen, the wife, is supported and encouraged by her two best friends, Natasha and Amy. And this is no simple story. A lot of bad behavior has been hidden. No one, remember that, no one is what they seem to be.

My husband’s affair, a domestic thriller, is a quick read full of surprises. While the main characters were flawed and not likable, the plot and its twists and turns keeps you reading. I did wonder why Rob’s frequent passing out was not investigated by his doctor. 4 stars.

An ok read. Most of the characters were pretty awful and the storyline was nothing new. I usually enjoy this author but i have to say this was not my favourite.

Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. The publication date is the 10th April. I devoured this book in a day I was so eager to find out what would happen in the saga that was Rob and his other woman!

I found myself screaming at my kindle hoping that Jen wouldn’t believe his lies! ! I wasn’t a fan of Rob’s character I found
him quite manipulative. There were many twists and turns that I never saw coming and that ending what a twist!

Overall, I’d highly recommend this thriller if you like fast- paced thrillers that are impossible to put down that was definitely this book!

I'm a fan of this author, and I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, as although it was easy to guess most of the twists, it was intriguing. Coming from a medical background I have many questions about how a fully grown, healthy man can be rendered unconscious for several hours at a time from painkillers, and it didn't show on blood tests? The hospital didn't do any bloods on a man who'd been blacked out, they waited for the GP? That aspect felt unrealistic. I think it mentioned she was using four at one point. A fully grown man could probably handle up to 20 if not more and still not black out for that long. Just a thought.

This is a dark, tragic story. The characters are not likable and have no redeeming qualities. The are just people who appear to be friends but are not good to each other. Secrets and lies. Difficult to finish. That being said, the intrigue keeps the story going. Netgalley book.

Tense and complex domestic mystery - cheating, betrayal, and lies everywhere. Who are the good guys when it seems no one is innocent? The term "strange bed fellows" is an understatement on this one, and you will be hooked.

Oh my god this book is insane! It had me so hooked I had it read within a few hours. I honestly am in shock I didnt expect that turn of events at all! The way the author has written this book is fantastic. The characters where all perfect. I gasped so many times with each twist I did not see coming. Bravo author! Will 100% be recommending this book to everyone I know.
