A good read with some good twists and good suspense. Enjoyed it and will look out for more from the author based on this.

Found this quite hard to keep track of all the characters, I did finish as I hate to leave a book unfinished but not one of my favourites

This took me a long time to read because most of it is people talking after the murder is discovered. There are a lot of characters and they're not just unlikeable, most of them are obnoxious, even the ones I think we're supposed to like. In the beginning, the person in charge of the bridal party tries to solve the murder before calling the police, demanding information from everyone. It did redeem itself somewhat with the ending, though, because it had a satisfying end. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

Caitlyn and her nine hens arrive in Dublin for a never-to-be-forgotten weekend. As the drink flows and the laughter echoes, her attendees put aside their buried resentments and secret agendas. But one of these agendas will be executed - no matter what.

This was good. Nothing ground-breaking, but really fun. I think it would make a great beach read.

Great plot and characters in this one. If you are looking for drama in your book, you are going to love this one. It will have you guessing and I can't recommend it enough.

This was just a book I could not finish. Maybe at a later date I will be able to finish it and change my review and rating. But with what I have read thus far I couldn't continue.

However thank you NetGalley and Booktoure for the opportunity to review this book.

Another winner from Maria Frankland! Yes, this plot has been done many times before but Maria Frankland still manages to make everything fresh and new. this was a fast paced whodunnit that kept me guessing right up to the end. I liked that the story was set in Ireland. Not only did it make the story interesting and a bit more exotic, the idea of being somewhere unfamiliar when there is trouble just adds to the stress and unease of the ladies of the bridal party. I enjoyed this one a lot and I'm looking forward to Maria Frankland's next book.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I had a very good time with it!

The bridal party is a fast read suspenseful novel that will keep you on your toes. A killer, a love story. It goes completely wrong.

I enjoyed the writing style and the different point of views. This book was fast paced and kept my interest. I saw the twist coming but it still came together really well. Even though this is a book that’s done over and over again I enjoyed the story and the experience in this book. Thank you NetGalley and Maria frankland for my arc copy and for a good book!

It's supposed to be a fabulous weekend away in Dublin to celebrate Caitlins upcoming wedding but all is not what it seems. Caitlins in laws bristle with hostility, as if Caitlin is not good enough for her their family. Caitlin herself is recovering from cancer and even though she seems to be fine and seems to be looking forward to her wedding, is she really Is the groom as nice and she makes him out to be or is there something sinister about him? Her best friend, who has organised the shower and wants to do everything she can to make Caitlin happy has her doubts about the wedding and whether her friend is actually really . A few drinks later, everyone is drunk and screaming and shouting and the first night is a total washout. But hey, they have a whole weekend to make up for it....only, the next morning, Caitlin is found dead in her bed. So who killed her? Her awful in laws? One of her so called friends? Very cleverly written, great twists too.

Lots of characters made it difficult to keep track of them all (pen and paper needed to make notes) but it turned into a enjoyable story.

The Bridal Party was a great read. There were lots of characters, which did take me a while to get each one straight, and some great twists but it was the shocking ending that really impressed me. Great book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

The Bridal Party by Maria Frankland ended in a way I wouldn't have guessed but in a way that was perfect. Very hard to put down and would recommend.

This was a good read, but I did find it a bit challenging to keep track of all of the characters that were included in the hen party since there were so many.

Caitlyn was getting married, and her friend Jen worked to plan her hen party as her last hurrah as a single woman. The group of 10 traveled to Dublin for the festivities. Little did they know, not all of them would be returning home.

The storyline is good however there is so much detail included in every interaction with every character. Due to this, I found it didn't flow too easily and took me longer to read than I normally would.

If ever there was a cautionary tale of keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, or choosing your bridal party with the greatest care … then this must be it! Weddings are meant to be happy occasions and the weeks leading up to the BIG event is supposed to be filled with happiness and excitement, aren’t they? Apparently … not always …

Wow! Caitlyn must have chosen herself THE most unlikeable bunch of women to be in her bridal party. As they depart from Leeds for her hen weekend in Dublin, the author wastes no time in making it very clear that there’s no love lost between most of this clan, for one reason or other, and most of them don’t even want to be there. And even Caitlyn herself isn’t quite what you’d expect from a bride. She’s hardly the happy, blooming person you’d expect. Sure – the reasons are revealed, the more you read (and you absolutely won’t be able to read this fast enough so you can figure out what’s really going on here!), but in just the first few chapters I wanted to just shake her!

Jen the Chief Bridesmaid (as she repetitively reminds everyone) is doing her best and is probably the best of a bad lot. Karen is Ben’s (the groom) mother, and together with Michaela, his sister and Lucy, his teenage daughter, they reminded me of a coven of witches! They were downright mean about everything and directed all their venom at Caitlyn. However, as we got to know Ben during the story, he doesn’t exactly come up smelling of roses either and one wonders why on earth Caitlyn has stuck around so long. She’s been through a rough time, having come through treatment for cancer, why on earth does she want to work so hard to be part of a family of such awful people?

Then there are Caitlyn’s own sisters, Emma and Annette – both equally annoying for different reasons. Annette keeps making backhanded nasty comments and Emma is as sweet as a chewed up toffee – nobody that sweet is ever genuine! Mari and Adele seem to be there to make up numbers. They’re both newer friends of Caitlyn’s, but again, not particularly nice ones, and they don’t seem happy about being included. And then there’s Shelley, who, like Jen is one of Caitlyn’s oldest friends and who should be thrilled her friend is marrying the love of her life. But for some reason she’s just plain miserable. And poor old Jen (did I mention, she’s the Chief Bridesmaid?) is desperately trying to keep it all together – and it’s only the first night!

Maria Frankland has created characters who make you appreciate the good people in your life! Your close friends and family: the ones who you love and value. And by throwing them all together into one space, making the reader squirm a bit at how uncomfortable the cat-fighting and backstabbing in those first few chapters all gets, she sets the perfect scene for a murder. You know it’s coming, but who will it be, and who did it?

As the chapters unfold, each told from the different characters’ points of view, shocking secrets will be revealed, but who has a secret worth killing for? It’s excellent, well-paced, edge-of-your-seat, page-turning stuff that doesn’t let up for a minute! And oh, so clever! I highly recommend it!

I think this is the third book I've read by Frankland and yet again she comes up trumps with a highly addictive, fast paced thriller, that I absolutely loved.

It's well plotted and as you'd expect from a bridal party of women, there's going to be plenty of drama, bitchiness and very soon one of them will be no more.

Twisty isn't the word, and just when you think that's as good as its going to get, along comes THAT twist at the end!

An enjoyable read, with both book and author highly coming recommended.

When a bachelorette party turns up with the bride dead, it’s going to be a thriller.
I thought the bride was too subdued to be excited for the upcoming marriage, in fact no one seemed excited for the upcoming nuptials except Jen, the main narrator, but I felt her enthusiasm was contrived too.
The story lets readers dive into each of the party’s personalities and they’re all an interesting bunch.
A cheater, a brat, two disgruntled friends, and two sisters who really don’t seem to interested in what’s happening.
I wasn’t surprised with how certain elements of the story turned out.
Next time, just skip the party and perhaps even the marriage.
