Age gap romance
Forbidden relationship
Son's best friend
Open door spice
Somewhere to Stay is book 1 in the Someone, Somewhere series and we definitely started off strong. Looking forward to book 2.
4 stars.
I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
Did someone say spice? Ya this one was SPICY!! SO SPICY!! The story was there but the spice kind of did take over for the most part. The story felt a little too convenient by the end. But it did fit the story well. I can not wait for book two.
Grace Turner’s captivating novel, *Somewhere to Stay*, delves into the complexities of temptation, desire, and the fragility of human connections. Set against the backdrop of an idyllic suburban neighborhood, the story revolves around Theo Wilde, a junior in college facing an uncertain future without a roof over his head. When his best friend, Ryder Calaway, extends a lifeline by inviting him to stay with his family, Theo reluctantly accepts. What unfolds is a beautifully crafted tale of unforeseen emotions, ethical dilemmas, and the complexities of relationships. From the very first chapter, Turner introduces us to the stark contrast between Theo's expectations and the reality of living in Ryder's childhood home. The warmth of suburban life feels foreign to Theo, who finds himself grappling with his insecurities and a sense of displacement. However, it is the presence of Natalie Calaway, Ryder’s mother, that transforms his experience. Her open-hearted welcome is both inviting and disarming, yet it quickly becomes apparent that the dynamics in their household are poised to shift dramatically. The tension in *Somewhere to Stay* arises not just from the physical closeness of Theo and Natalie, but from the emotional barriers that threaten to crumble as they share the same space. Turner skillfully develops their relationship, illustrating how their initial discomfort evolves into an undeniable attraction. As Ryder pursues an internship that will take him across the country, the situation becomes further complicated. Left alone in the house, Theo and Natalie are forced to confront their feelings for one another, leading to a compelling exploration of desire that is both tantalizing and fraught with complications. Turner excels at creating nuanced characters that resonate with readers. Theo’s vulnerability as a young man trying to find his way is palpable, and Natalie’s internal struggle as a mother caught in a web of forbidden desire is equally compelling. The author deftly explores themes of morality and the consequences of their choices, leaving readers questioning how far one might go when faced with temptation. The chemistry between Theo and Natalie is electric, and Turner captures the tension of their interactions with a keen sense of realism. Moreover, *Somewhere to Stay* is more than just a romance; it is a meditation on the human condition. It challenges readers to consider the boundaries of relationships, societal expectations, and the complexity of love. As Theo and Natalie navigate their feelings, the reader is drawn into their world, eagerly anticipating their next move while grappling with the question: How long can they resist temptation? In conclusion, Grace Turner’s *Somewhere to Stay* offers a richly woven narrative that explores the depths of attraction and the moral complexities of love in unexpected circumstances. With its engaging prose, relatable characters, and thought-provoking themes, this novel is a must-read for anyone who enjoys stories of love that defy convention. As Turner leads readers through the emotional turmoil of Theo and Natalie’s journey, she reminds us of the allure of the forbidden and the challenges that come with following our hearts. For those seeking a captivating exploration of romance and temptation, *Somewhere to Stay* promises a journey that will linger long after the last page is turned.

This Taboo, age gap steamy novel had me hooked. I have read a lot of age gap with an older man and his son’s ex-girlfriend trope, so I was really intrigued with this change of pace with this book and it did not disappoint. It had amazing angst and tension, that had me devouring the whole thing. The relationship development was pretty quick but did not come off as insta love and the story mainly focused on the relationship and the main characters. I loved Theo, the tattoo’s, he was very quiet and intense and some bad circumstances he was dealing with, he was great. Writing was good and there were some pretty great scenes, the kitchen one was my favorite. I would highly recommend this book if you like taboo, age gap, tattoos and some great romantic gestures, it's great.
I received an ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion
Book: 3 ⭐️

Reverse Age Gap
Best Friend’s Mom
‘Stacy’s Mom’ but make it spicy.
Definitely read the tags before this one - especially for the smut. I think the main characters needed some balance between the physical and emotional chemistry.
The biggest thing this book was missing was to tie up all the ends of the story.
A true delight from start to finish!
Theo and Natalie had this intense chemistry since the moment they saw each other but at first, they are afraid to act on it as she is his best friend's mother. Ryder left soon after so they soon gave in to their attraction and the result is a book I couldn't put down.
Truly loved it. It had so much spice, tension, and the fact that there is that forbidden aspect... The age gap is 13 years and it is of course a reverse age gap book.
My first book by this author and I'm hoping I'll get to read the second book too because I can already feel there's some tension between Natalie's son and her best friend too! Cannot wait for the second book!
4.5

This book was HOT!! I finished this in less than 24hours because I couldn’t put it down!! The SPICE IN THIS BOOK HAD ME SAD I AM SINGLE! I need a man to call me his filthy little slut! Anyway! 10/10 recommend
This was a phenomenal read. The charters are everything. The spicy is so good. I can't wait to read more.
I normally don't read reverse age gaps (just a personal preference). But i liked this one! I thought it was good and interesting. The mouth on Theo, whoo! this was a good one.
Thank you for the ARC!
Natalie and Theo were HOT 🔥🔥
Their chemistry was everything.
I also loved how sweet he was with the after care.
I loved this book. It had everything I wanted.
There was spice and man was it SPICIN'.
The storyline was good (even though I wished there was a little more of it)
I was glad the epilogue contained what it did, I was waiting for it the whole book! Haha
5 star read for me!
Reverse age-gap romance with a heavy amount of spice, count me in!
I loved this, I felt the romance came naturally, and I felt the tension and chemistry between the MCs.
Despite a lot of spice, there is a plot with family drama and I enjoyed how the conflicts were handled maturely.
The writing was enjoyable and it was quick-paced. I devoured this story in one day.
Now I can't wait for the next book after that little tease at the end.
I recommend picking this one up today if you enjoy spice and a forbidden reverse age-gap romance.
Thank you NetGalley and Grace Turner for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to Netgalley for letting me preview this ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the chemistry between Natalie and Theo. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow readers
A reverse age gap and best friend’s MOM.. say no more
This follows Theo and Natalie. Theo is down on his luck and needs a place to stay and his best friend, Ryder, offers him to stay at his house. Ryder then gets a new position that he can't pass up and ends up leaving so it is just Theo and Natalie staying together. The tension in this.. And the first spicy scene in this was insane. Theo and Natalie were so hot together and there was a lot of smut in this book and I honestly could’ve had more. Also the epilogue, CANNOT wait for the next book
Quick Summary: A steamy age gap romance
My Review: Somewhere to Stay by Grace Turner is book #1 in what looks to be a new age gap series.
About the Book: Theo Wilde needs a place to crash. His best friend did him a solid by letting him stay with him and his mother. The first time he sees her, he knows he is in danger of crossing a line and going past the point of no return.
Natalie Calaway is ready for a change. She's released excess baggage from her life and is entering a new phase of self discovery. As soon as she feels the electric pull towards her son's best friend, she knows she's in trouble.
My Final Say: 🚨🚨🚨🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥🔥💣💣💣
Umm...👆 This one is a thirst trap and then some. Even though you think you can handle it, you probably can't. 😲
Based on the epilogue, it would appear that another story might be just around the corner. It certainly didn't pull any punches on what comes next.
Other: Be sure to read the author's note. This is for mature audiences only.
Questions That Remain:
- Will Theo's mom try something else?
- Will Theo's other family members, particularly his brother, make a return?
- Will the bad cop get reprimanded in any way?
- What comes next for Theo, Natalie, and Ryder?
- Will action or danger be a part of what happens going forward?

DNF at 51%.
It had potential at the beginning but then it became a bit jumpy and forced.
The spicy scenes were great, but it just felt like the character development was all over the place.
This was HOT. I’m really not big on age (or reverse age) gap tropes, but damn, this one got me. The MMC is 23 and covered in tattoos, while the FMC is 14 years older and has a 21-year-old son who just so happens to be the MMC’s best friend. And they live together, which means two other tropes to add to the plot: forced proximity and roommates. If it’s the spice you’re after, this’ll do it. It’s 5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and on like every other page.
As for the ending, which I won’t spoil, it felt a little too easy. And unrealistic. But whatevs!

Somewhere to Stay by Grace Turner is a book I will be recommending to everyone! Everything about this book was amazing.
Theo is a quiet, keeps to himself, and gorgeous man who is covered in tattoos. He doesn’t give up more information about himself than he wants them to know. Theo is a junior in college and has been on his own since he was 17 years old. Theo’s mom is a gambler and his dad and brother both left not wanting to deal with his mom's mess anymore. He has had to figure everything out on his own. His best friend Ryder invites him to stay at his house with him and his mom. At first, he was too thrilled for that, but he had nowhere else to go.
Natalie is a 37-year-old divorced mother to Ryder. She was kicked out of her house for getting pregnant with Ryder at a young age. She ended up marrying her ex-husband and things were great for a while until they grew apart. Natalie was happy to let her son’s friend move in with them even though she was sure she knew what it was like to not have a place to go to.
Ryder who is Natalie’s son was offered an internship across the county. He didn’t get the call until they had got home and unpacked. Both Natalie and Ryder told him he had to take it. Which he did, leaving Natalie and Theo to live together and get to know each other.
Man did that turn hot and heavy quickly! From the start of the book, you can instantly feel the connection between Theo and Natalie, even though they both want to deny it. The book was well thought out and so detailed. Let’s not forget about the spicy scenes either!! They were everything and you could tell other than s*x the two had great chemistry. This book kept me engaged until the end and I want to read the next book with Ryder! I finished this book quickly and it was hard to put down. The connection with the characters and the plot of the book kept me diving in for more. I was sad when it ended because I wasn’t ready for it to end.
Thank you, NetGalley, for allowing me to read this ARC. Thank you, Grace Turner, for creating such a well-written book! I can’t wait to continue to read other books by you!
“Somewhere to Stay,” by Grace Turner
When Theo needs a place to live his best friend, Ryder, asks him to live with him and his mother, Natalie. When Ryder leaves home for his internship leaving Theo and Natalie alone in the home, the tension starts to rise. Their attraction to each other grows despite them trying to ignore it until they just can’t anymore.
The characters were good, but I just didn’t vibe with the book. The tension and always bringing up her son Ryder just ended up getting weird after a while. 2 out of 5 stars.
Thank you for the ARC, Netgalley.

Then you should definitely pick this up! I rated 3 stars only because the tropes just weren't my favorite. I loved the writing style though, and it was a fun and pretty quick read :)
