I really enjoyed this. This was the first book I read in the series and I immediately went out and bought the first three after I finished!

I adored Nik and Izzy. I loved how they balanced each other out and they had a really healthy relationship for how young they are. They didn’t have a lot of miscommunication which I loved! And there wasn’t a lot of unnecessary drama! I also loved that both of them were athletes. They both had different struggles surrounding their sport and I loved seeing both of them work through them and be supportive of each other.

I really enjoyed seeing Izzy and Nikolai’s growth throughout the book. They both had their own issues that they were dealing with and I loved that they were able to find the resources they each needed to grow. I did love Nik’s decision to grow on his own but still keep his promises to Izzy and come back to her.

This book definitely had its quirks but I think its biggest flaw is that it felt way too long. I did love most of the plot and spicy scenes but there were a few that just seemed a little unnecessary and made the book feel longer.

Look, I know I keep saying this for almost every new author I read, but I’m going to say it again. This was my first Grace Reilly novel and it definitely won’t be my last! I’ve ordered the other ones that are already out so I can begin those ASAP! Give me a good dual POV college romance AND I WILL EAT IT UP EVERY TIME.

I liked that while this book was “part” of a series (each book focuses on a different sibling) you can technically read it as a stand alone. It’s a little spoilery, but it really did make me want to go back and read the other books as I got glimpses of Izzy’s brothers. This was a great summer read, especially since our main characters start their relationship as a hidden summer fling.

I absolutely loved our MMC Nikolai. He was charming and sweet and he definitely fell first and harder. While most people would have written him off as a player, he really isn’t one, simply not choosing the FMC from the beginning because he didn’t feel like he was good enough for her.

Izzy is a great FMC and was extremely relatable. Sunshine on the outside, but full of worry about truly fitting in with a family she sees as perfect and more accomplished than her. Izzy and Nikolai were the perfect people to help each other grow. Izzy with Nikolai’s panic attacks, Nikolai with Izzy not feeling good enough for her family. This book had great mental health representation, especially at the end.

If you want a college romance with great angst, the right amount of sweetness, and some toe curling spice, get this book ASAP.

CW: Off page/past spousal abuse and domestic violence, controlling family members and panic attacks.

I dnf this book, for one reason and one reason only. I had a problem with how it feel more like a high school romance then a college romance for me and that bothered me. But other than that the story was not bad.

This one is a cute, easy, lighthearted sports romance book. I enjoyed it but it also had a few flaws.

What I loved is the relationship between Nikolai and Isabelle. It is just so pure and healthy. There was so much support and encouragement and it wasn’t toxic at all. Also I loved all the cameos of her brothers in this book aswell. Seeing their family bond made me so happy.

Honestly I don’t really need to say much about Nikolai cause he is just PERFECT in every way. He is so kind, supportive, caring and protective. I definitely fell in love with him🤍

I didn’t really enjoyed Isabelle as a main character though. Don’t get me wrong she is very confident, fashionably, knows what she wants and she plays volleyball which I loved. But she was just so immature, self centered and pushy at times. Like girl you don’t push people to tell you about their past. That’s an absolute no go just give it time!! Also the color pink doesn’t have to be mentioned in every chapter.

And lastly in all honestly 400 pages was just a bit much for this story. I read longer romance books before but this one just really dragged on at some points and it just felt like there were a lot of filler scenes that felt unnecessary.

Overall I enjoyed this book a lot and would definitely recommend it but it wasn’t one of my faves.

I applied for this book a while back and I was super happy that I was eventually accepted for an e-ARC! Thank you so much Valentine Pr and Grace Reilly!

In front row we have Isabella and Nikolai. They met one summer and they both felt that strong attraction to one another. So, they decided to have a fun summer, with no strings attached. They were sure they will not see each other again after that beautiful summer. But Nikolai gets into a bit of a mess and, with the help of his grandfather, he ends up at the same school as Izzy.

Seeing Nik again was a total shock for Izzy, but she couldn't stay too far from him, even though things haven't ended the they she wanted the first time. And they embarked into that rollercoaster again - thinking is a beneficiary thing for both of them. But, of course, real feelings grow for them both and they cannot deny them furthermore. After some huge mistakes everything changes for them in better.

I don't know if I've expected this book to be so spicy 😅. Yes, the chemistry between Nik and Izzy was perfect and it was the same behind closed doors. Nik was always very attentive with Izzy, especially because she had a really ugly break-up from her ex-boyfriend.

I liked that besides the spiciness it was present the part of the real life of the characters and the struggles they have to face. Izzy needs to heal from her last relationship and how she has been treated by him. Nik needs to get over a trauma from childhood, which was induced by his own abusive father, to decide what he should do in the future, because he loves playing hockey, but his grandfather constraints him into taking over the family business.

Overall, I think that this book had leveled up a bit, for me, in the second half of the story, where I had the chance to get to know the characters better, not only that strictly physical way. I recommend it to the ones who love smut books, because it has a lot 🤭.

Such a good read that I enjoyed! I'm so glad that I got the chance to read it early and will definitely be recommending it to multiple people who enjoy these types of novels. I enjoyed the characters and especially enjoyed the writing by this author. I'm excited to see what the author comes out with next as I'll definitely be reading it! This was a really cute book! It gave me Elle Kennedy vibes. I loved Nik and Izzy together. I really enjoyed that they got together very quickly, but I did feel like the book kind of dragged towards the end. I think it could have been wrapped up quicker and maybe had 20 less chapter. By the time I got to chapter 53 I was ready for the book to be done.

I finished this book in a day! I was pulled in so fast and didn’t want to put it down.

I’m learning I really love sports romance books but this was all that and more! And the spice was SO GOOD!

I really felt connected to the characters and the storyline touched on heavier topics that made everything more real. I teared up more than once.

Nikolai is officially added to my book boyfriend list. He had so many moments and phrases that will live rent free in my head.

4 stars for Part 4 of this series. I haven't read any of the previous books in the series but I had no trouble following the plot in Wicked Serve. This is a spicy hockey romance that leans more towards "lust" than "love". I enjoyed watching Isabelle and Nikolai's story unfold even though this book was a bit on the long side. There is mental health representation with the MMC. Overall, I liked the book and would recommend it.

I read this whole series before getting to this one and while it wasn’t necessary to the story really, I’m glad I did because this was the best of them all. Izzy was so unapologetically girly which I loved. Very Elle Woods at times in all the best ways. And Nik, all the swooning (and filth!). I really felt his struggle with his past and his mental health, and how those experiences might affect his actions. That 3rd act was heart wrenching but also felt right and necessary.

Also, Grace Reilly loves a DP scene…

Isabelle’s inner turmoil with being enough and comparing herself to her family, was so relatable. There was an aspect of that to Nikolai’s character too, but the depth in hers was just great for her development.

Obviously Niko was my fave 🤩

The fave in the series always belongs to James & Bex, but it was still a quick and fun read!

This is the fourth book in this series, and this is Nikolai and Izzy’s story.
Izzy is the youngest and only daughter, in her family off athletes, and she is determined to win back her volleyball position. Nikolai is Izzy’s brothers biggest rival, and they shared a whirlwind summer fling. No Nik is forced to transfer to a rival school to complete senior year, and the last things he wants is the captain to find out about his fling with his sister.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, broody / sunshine, secrets, revelations, romance, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and heartfelt college sports romance.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

Wicked Serve is the 4th book in this standalone interconnected series and this one follows the youngest Callahan sibling, Isabelle and her older brothers hockey rival turned teammate, Nikolai Abney-Volkov. We follow their secret romance from the summer and then into school when Nikolai has to suddenly transfer from UMass to McKee University where Isabelle is a sophomore on the volleyball team and her brother is the captain of the hockey team.

I loved the volleyball sprinkled throughout with the hockey. As a past volleyball player, I vote we need more hockey/volleyball sports romances in the world! The trials of love, abuse, large families, and team sports play throughout this book.

I’m sad to see this family go but omg the epilogue was the perfect closure!! I cannot wait for everyone to read this! Oh, and prepare yourself because it is a spicy one 🥵🥵

This book was a great read and hits all the bases for a sports romance and friends to lovers read. From the initial meet cute to the end these two melted my heart and I loved how they showed up to support each other in this book.

I like watching the relationship blossom between Nikolai and Izzy, though it's not all completely smooth sailing and there are enough obstacles to overcome, their overwhelmed desire to be with each other wins out on the end.

I was so excited to Finally get Izzy’s story!

Izzy & Nik first a summer fling when Izzy worked under his mom doing wedding planning. They both loved spending time together and they thought they never see each other again until Nik runs into trouble with his current college and his grandpa gets him into McKee.

Izzy is a volleyball player and Nik is in hockey, originally Izzy brother Cooper rival. They did have their relationship in secret because of how Cooper would act, but after Cooper saw how much Nik cared for Izzy he can around they actually became great friends.

I feel like since they are both athletes it makes them have a bond to where they understand each other so well. These two really have some chemistry together.

I love how much Bex & James were in this book especially with Izzy planning there wedding. It made my heart so full. ❤️

The only thing I was not a fan of was how some parts really dragged which made the book longer than it needed to be.

I have to say this has to be the spiciest and heaviest out of all the books in this series. What Nik had to deal with his father and his past was heartbreaking to see. Even though he went through so much with him, I have to say he really knew how to be there for Izzy and treat her the way she needed to be treated.

This was my first hockey romance and I wasn't sure what to expect but I was not disappointed. This was such a spicy read! It did feel at points that every few chapters, there was a spicy scene which depends on what you like as a reader. However, I would be remiss if I didn't elaborate on how the author weaves a story about found family and mental health representation throughout. I really felt for the MMC, Nikolai, and enjoyed seeing his relationship with the FMC, Isabelle and her family. I really enjoyed that the author had short and concise chapters that served the purpose and made me feel engaged as a reader. I do wish the author had explored the MMC and his family dynamics. I felt there was a lot of build up to the character's father and then the scene felt a bit rushed. I wish the communication and growth of the MMC had been explored more with the FMC. I will definitely go back to read the rest of the series. This book gave me Maxton Hall/Elite vibes if you enjoy those shows. This was a 4 star read for me because I enjoyed the characters' dynamics and I really got pulled into their world.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series and that didn't seem to matter. All are stand alone. This book was way too long. Goodness did this book drag on. I kept wondering when it would pick up and really capture my attention. While there were parts of the book I enjoyed, I don't have any interests in reading any of the others in this series. Half way through the book I felt it hit every single step most romances hit and it was STILL GOING. It's a 3 stars for me since I did like the story but just hated how long it was dragged out.

This was my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I read it in one sitting. I really enjoyed this story about Nikolai and Isabelle. You should definitely read this one.

Isabelle Callahan meets Nikolai Volkov while spending her summer in NYC working for his mom. They have a fun romance but when the summer ends she heads back to McKee U and he heads back to Boston.

Nikolai is an amazing hockey player. He has a toxic dad who played pro and still lives in Russia. He also has a controlling grandfather who wants him to give up hockey and run the family business. When he gets transferred to McKee, he promises his grandfather he will give up hockey for good.
Isabelle is the youngest Callahan. Her three older brothers all played sports and she always compared herself to them. She plays on the volleyball team but it’s not her true passion. When Isabelle and Nikolai run into each other again on campus they can’t seem to stay away. At first, they hide their relationship but they are quickly becoming each other's safe space. But Nikolai’s past still haunts him and threatens to ruin everything good.

I liked these two together. Like her other books in the series, these two were locked in and determined to go the distance. Nikolai struggled with a lot of anxiety and past trauma and Isabelle was there for him every step of the way. I thought the author did a great job of showing how they dealt with their insecurities and struggles but they still had open communication with each other. I am sad to see this series end!
