I thought that this was a really good book but I did find that it was very similar to the Smeds and the Smoos by Julia Donaldson, which we really enjoyed (we have the book and have also seen the stage show).

It is very well written and it has a lovely natural flow to the story, the illustrations in the book are wonderful and they brought the book to life.

The book has some good facts in it as well to learn about the different types of Booby birds.
I loved the messaging through the book and the ending was great too.

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

This was absolutely so adorable! I knew my family would love it but it was so sweet. My sister is currently pregnant with her first child and our group chat is called “blue footed boobies” and just all around this is just so perfect for her new little family. I’m so excited to read this to my nephew!

This delightful book from a bestselling author and award-winning illustrator tells a charming tale of blue-footed and red-footed boobies who find love despite their families' disapproval. With playful storytelling and vibrant illustrations, it’s a heartwarming story about discovering common ground when you least expect it.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are mine.

If the title does not make you laugh then I don't know what will. This is perfect read for fans of Romeo and Juliet. The book follows the blue footed boobies and the red footed boobies that live on different rocks but their lives change one a pair falls in love everything changes. It's a quick read about unexpected love.

I loved this book. It's just so much fun to say boobies! The blue footed boobies didn't like the red footed boobies and vice versa. But the these two fell in love, kind of Romeo and Juliette, but with a much happier ending! Perfect for children to learn that just because somebody is different, it does not mean they are any better or worse than you. Be kind! Loved the illustrations.

This of course got my attention with the title and cover. I think people of all ages will like this story because it really is a metaphor for life and finding and accepting our differences. Especially in this election year, this might be fun to read to middle schoolers to see if they can learn a life lesson from it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Two Lions for a copy of this cute silly book.

Like I said, it was cute and a bit silly. I like, from time to time, reading books where they're short and sweet. Was it below my level? Yes, but I'll be recommending this to all my friends with little kids. I might even go and buy a copy or two for birthdays as well. It's charming and the idea behind it - love is love - is packed in a way to appeal to all ages. Very well done.

I'm obsessed with this book! A modern, and very unique, retelling and reimaging of Romeo and Juliet/A Tale of Two Cities. The illustrations are adorable, the story is cute as heck, and the puns are perfect. 6 stars out of 5!

Thank you so much for the ARC!

Silly Boobies is a super cute children’s book about 2 breeds of Boobies and how when you look past your enemies differences you just might see how similar you are. So sweet!!

I’d definitely purchase this book for a child in my life.

**Thanks to the author and publisher for the e-arc I received via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.**

A perfectly charming way to get the whole woke "hey guys, why can't we just love who we want to?!" message across, without sounding all hippyish or Johnny Smugface about it. One island has the blue-footed boobies, the other has the red-footed ones, and they never meet, until they do. Of course it's the bookworms of the boobie world that do it, proving the merits of reading – as well as being open about who you fall in love with. Plus there're exceedingly cute illustrations, plus there's a silly mini-island for them, complete with Greek chorus crab, PLUS there's the eternal delight in saying the word 'boobies' with all perfect justification. If you find fault here you really must be a silly boobie – hence the full five stars is deserved.

This is such a fun book about red footed boobies and blue footed boobies. My daughter loved every minute of it and has asked to read it multiple times. The message about acceptance is absolutely fantastic. The illustrations are simple, but perfect for the story. The information about real boobies at the end was a fun and informative addition to the story!

Thank you to NetGalley and Two Lions for the ARC.

This is such a silly and fun book about acceptance- a value that every human needs to learn. The illustrations are very simple, and I loved the balance between the pictures and the text. At the end, the book also features some extra information with pictures of boobies (they're actual birds and I didn't know that before reading this), so that's interesting for kids too. 100% recommend for kids as young as babies.

Loved the artwork and the story of not judging others just because it's always been that way. The story teaches children to not judge each other and instead get to know one another.

The only problem I had with the story was that it felt so much like Dr. Suess' "The Sneetches" but the only difference is that they fall in love.

The obstacle didn't seem too tough for them to be together except for a few no's. With there was a little more resistance to set the story up with real issue.

I thought that all boobies had blue feet! Nope, some have blue feet and others have red feet. In this story each group does not like the other but things can change.
The illustrations by Christopher Weyant are delightful, comfortably colored, and fun.
Well suited for reading alone or WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school, or your public library!
I requested and received a free temporary digital advance review copy on Adobe Digital Editions from Two Lions Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!

Silly Boobies by Ame Dyckman was a little book that had me and my nephew O laugh out loud!
Especially when O thought I was talking about something else, he never heard of Boobies the pretty birds with a big blue beak and blue feet!!!!! (one of the Boobies has red feet in this book) They are so pretty.

There are 2 kinds of boobies Now one has blue-footed boobies and they live on one rock.
The red-footed boobies live on another rock. Now, the Blues and Reds are kept apart…...until one day a pair runs into each other and falls in love. WoW.....a love story in the making!

But, their families don’t approve. Silly boobies!

Something wonderful happens, can everyone finally agree?

We giggled all the through reading this book. It was beautiful book that was so colourful all the way through.......This was a special book that made my nephew laugh - and that sound is one of the best sounds you can hear.

Big Thank you, NetGalley, and Two Lions for my ARC and to hear my nephew O lol

Silly Boobies is a super cute story about red-footed boobies and blue-footed boobies, and a star-bellied sneetches like divide between the two. I LOVED the illustrations, all of the animals had so much character!

I think the author did a great job with a fun take on a familiar plot line. I loved the information about real-life boobies at the end of the story. Thanks to NetGalley, Ame Dyckman, and Two Lions for the chance to read and review. My opinions are my own!

This children’s book is about 2 birds who are different but found love. It’s a very simple straight to the point book, which is perfect for it’s audience. I thought it was educational as well as humorous. I like the last page with a short spell about boobies. If you dislike one another because of irrelevant characteristics such as different colored flippers than that is silly!

Hillarious!!! Amazing!!! Sweet!! adorable!!!
I have so many adjectives I would like to use to describe this fabulous book, and it deserves it.
It has everything in it: a Romeo and Juliet type of love story, goofy characters, a great ending, interesting facts and a great learning experience.
We laughed through this book and re-read it over and over.
LOVED the illustrations, so lively, fun and vibrant!

I think this book was illustrated very well and I loved to facts at the end of the book. I agree with some other reviews it could have been a few pages longer or had more oomph. Overall, I think this is a lovely, fun, quick read for the kids. I will absolutely be purchasing and including this book in the K-5 library I work in!
