There was a time when I thought I missed the chance to read a good book with a very original cover (actually, that was what initially caught my attention). But I was wrong. This book confused me so much that I had to DNF it at 50%. I tried my best to get into it, but I lost any sense of what the author was trying to convey. However, I do appreciate the time and effort the author put into it.

This book feels like 2 books smashed together. It has a confusing and rambling narrative with unclear timelines and a writing style that is almost unpalatable.
I had difficulty dragging myself through the first half as nothing of note really happens and all the action is in the second half of the book. The storyline is virtually non existent, I’m not sure what the author was attempting to say. There’s no thrilling plot, no emotional drama, no underlying moral and no satisfying ending. What was this book trying to show? It’s a 1 star from me I’m afraid.
