I love to see under-represented voices in mainstream, traditionally published romance. I've never read book with Formula 1 as the sport so that was incredibly interesting! I will say that the characters didn't feel like they had depth, and I wasn't too caught up in their romance. This was a fine, fast read, but maybe just not my kind of romance. Fun tropes and other readers will absolutely eat this up!

I didn’t finish I found it hard to get into the story… I wasn’t attached the characters and I found the main guy not likable at all. Was excited for this one

CROSS THE LINE is the first in this entertaining Formula 1 sports romance series.
The romance centers around main characters Willow and Dev, and I thought they were so cute together, and loved the support they showed for one another.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-F1 racer
-forced proximity
-brother’s best friend
-disability rep
I paired the book and audio and loved this style of immersive reading!
*many thanks to Berkley Romance, Prh audio and Netgalley for the gifted copy

Cross the Line started out really strong for me but by the halfway point I was kind of over the fact that assumptions of the brother was keeping 2 people who clearly liked each other, had history apart. Now, I get the best friend's brother trope but I just think I needed more the first chunk of the book that constant longing. The dialogue was solid throughout the book, I liked learning a little bit about F1 racing, so I definitely look forward to more from this author but maybe a different trope! 3.5 stars.

This was my first read by Simone and it will not be my last!
I went into this book not knowing what to expect, I ended the book totally obsessed and in love!!! These characters had me on the edge of my seat wanting more and not wanting it to end.
If you are looking for a book where she falls first but HE falls harder? This book is for you!!!

I don’t know a single thing about f1 but I enjoyed this! It was a quick and easy read with no third act breakup which I always appreciate. Also you can never go wrong with brothers best friend trope💗🏎️

3.25 stars
This was mostly an average read for me. It gets a little more than 3 stars for handling certain tropes better than I expected (I know a lot of readers don’t like the brother’s best friend trope) and for the most part it didn’t go the predictable way. But it really didn’t feel like a lot was happening to keep me fully invested in the story. The epilogue felt like it had the most action (which was actually very confusing, I had to double check that I was actually on the last chapter because what was happening on page just really didn’t feel like it fit there) Overall, not a super memorable read for me but it wasn’t awful either.

Cross the Line is a cute F1 romance book that I would recommend to any reader who likes sports romance books. I enjoyed this book for the most part! I liked learning more about the F1 world and I appreciated the desi representation as an Indian woman. While this was light and easy read, I think this book would’ve been stronger with more focus on the development of Willow and Dev’s relationship. It did feel a bit like insta-love at times, so I wish we would’ve gotten more of their backstory.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of Cross the Line by Simone Soltani!

More F1 romance, please! Cross the Line perfectly captures the life of a Formula One driver AND someone in marketing, which personally I loved. Second chance romance plus best friend's little sister and we have a winner. It was the perfect escape and I can't wait to see what else Soltani gives us in the series!

I thought this was a light, cute F1 romance! Definitely on the sweeter, instalove side of romance-- so if you like that then this is a book for you!!!
I liked how this book included disability representation and commentary on topics that are not often included in contemporary romances (racism, disability, cultural expectations). The trope "brother's best friend" tends to give me the ick, and that didn't happen with this book.
This book ran into a problem I have with a lot of dual POVs and that's the character development and relationship development feels primarily in the inner monologue of each character instead of being shown. Ultimately, I think this was a fun quick read but not super memorable (but sometimes you're in the mood for that!!!).

The slow burn in this book was done so well. While we didn't really see much character development, the story was fun, and an easy read. It was the first F1 book I've read, but it wasn't full of lingo that wouldn't make sense to someone who wasn't in the world, which was nice. I loved the diversity of the main characters as well, even if it was just a subplot. Cannot wait to read more in this world!

I love the cover of this, and I tried hard to get into it but it felt like a slow start and didn't connect to their characters and their chemistry felt off.

I love a cute sports romance and this is exactly what this book is 4 stars low stakes but so good and I entertaining and a great palate cleanser. When needing a cute read

I enjoyed this F1 brother's best friend romance! I did think it was a bit slow at times, but I overall had a good time reading it. I really liked Willow as the main character, and the Ehler's-Danlos syndrome representation was really great, as it's not something I've read a lot of. The relationship between Willow and Dev was pretty cute, but it felt a bit bland. Overall, this book was a cute romance and I'm interested in the second book! :)

I had been anticipating this book since it was first announced as a self-pub'd title. So I had really high hopes by the time I finally got my hands on a copy! And this was such a fun, swoony romance!
I'm not always a huge fan of the brother's best friend trope - because I find that the conflict always comes to down to this idea that the opinion of someone outside the relationship matters more than the MC's. So I really appreciated that while that is brought up, there is much more to the main conflict.
I loved how the heroine's disability was represented. I loved the travel/forced proximity. And I LOVED that there was no 3rd act breakup.
So excited for the next book(s) in this series!!

this book is perfect for f1 fans/romance lovers! I loved everything about it, and I can’t wait to read the next one! would definitely recommend!

This was my first F1 romance and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't know anything about F1 and was still able to enjoy the story and root for the characters. Very interested to see what the author writes next.

If you enjoy stories with racing, forbidden love, childhood connections turning romantic, and a slow build, this one might be perfect for you.
Dev is such a sweetheart and a standout male lead. The story also includes amazing representation with POC main characters and chronic illness woven into the narrative. While Willow is a solid protagonist, Dev completely won me over.
overall really enjoyed this one a lot!

I wasn't sure about a romance with a racing background, but this was did intrigue me.
I liked Willow and Dev well enough. They're both good people with an intertwined history and it was interesting to read them figure things out. There are a good amount of characters here, but we only got snippets of them.
Plot wise, it's pretty fast paced and action filled. I enjoyed the racing scenes more than I thought I would. The scenes between Willow and Dev felt superficial and more telling than showing when it came to their chemistry.
Overall, it was a quick read and I was invested enough to finish, but I'm not sure I'll be reading the next one in the series.
**Huge thanks to the publisher for providing the arc free of charge**
