This book was slightly outside my usual lane--I don't typically read romance--but I'm so glad I read it because it's one of my favorites of the year so far! I want to be friends with Annie, whose sharp and relatable voice kept me laughing throughout. I want to see Ben's styled vs. tossled hair for myself and try my luck at a reality show bracket. Jamie Harrow PERFECTLY captures the feeling of being inside of a sports team, the pressure and the privilege, and writes about the complex issues surrounding college athletics in a way that feels thoughtful but never didactic. I can't wait to see more from this author.

There are several tough topics discussed in this book. It was handled well and masks for a good book club book. The characters were relatable and the storyline was entertaining.

I was so lost in these pages that I didn’t even realise when I reached the very end, because it was that good. The story was exciting and fast paced. And, I lived vicariously through these characters! Loved it,
