This is an interesting domestic suspense story. June is planning her wedding after finally moving on from her first husband’s tragic death. Or is Josh dead? His body was never found but he is believed to have drowned. But now June starts to believe she sees him in the NYC area where she lives. She heads to Napa where Josh is originally from to see if she can find any answers but she doesn’t tell her fiancé, Kyle, what she is doing. I enjoyed following along on June’s quest to get to the truth about Josh. It was a very compelling book but it hit a problem for me with the ending. I loved the first 95% of the book but I just couldn’t really reconcile how this ending would have worked.
They had me in the first half. The alternating timelines was a little hard to keep track of what was happening when, but once I got that going I was on a roll. However, the twists were eye rolling at best. I couldn’t handle that once, let alone twice.
A twisty domestic thriller full of secrets and perfect for fans of books like Laura Dave's The last thing he told me or Sarina Bowen's The five year lie. If you like books where couples keep troubling secrets and troubled families that go to great lengths to cover up dark deeds, this is the book for you. I especially liked the dual POV, dual timeline structure and the focus on how motherhood isn't always a natural and easy thing for some women. I thoroughly enjoyed this latest from a fav Canadian thriller author. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

A solid read told in dual perspectives and timelines. The writing was easy to read and I enjoyed the Napa wine setting and the descriptions of how wine is made. Both timelines were interesting with family secrets and lies. I liked the LGBTQ representation and the issues raised around motherhood,
However, the middle of the book was a bit slow at times and the story could have a bit shorter, in my opinion. There were some good twists.
I have mixed thoughts about the ending. At first, it didn’t seem to flow naturally from what preceded it in one way yet upon reflection, I think it was in keeping with the themes of secrecy and that everyone is hiding something about themselves. I also thought that some plot threads were left hanging but again I think that fits with the novel’s theme that there are some things about people that we never know or will ever know.
Overall, a good, entertaining read.
Thanks to the publisher for this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
An intriguing tale told from the fabulous perspective of two women, June (Josh's wife) and Bev (Josh's mother), in dual timelines as the mystery of Josh's death unravels. I enjoyed the setting in the Napa Valley vineyards and the slow yet gripping unravelling of the mystery. This is a wonderful book for fans of romance and suspense.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and learned a little bit about wine making. 10 years ago June’s husband disappears and is assumed drowned. She has difficulty believing he wasn’t murdered but eventually moves on. She is now engaged to Kyle and the wedding looms large. June thinks she sees her deceased husband Josh - twice! Is it guilt about marrying Kyle or was she right about Josh’s suspicious demise? Suggesting a honeymoon in Napa Valley, June stumbles across a picture of Josh. She secretly flies there to get to the truth. The story is told from June and Bev’s point of view in dual timelines. It is like the peeling of an onion with more and more information being slowly revealed layer after layer.. I felt that it was maybe a little long but interesting just the same. I would recommend. I received an advance reader’s copy for free and leave this review voluntarily.
Thank you to Simon & Schuster CA for providing me with an ARC copy of Till Death Do Us Part in exchange for my review.
What a wild ride. We meet two women in different timelines. June had a whirlwind romance and eloped with her fiancé much to everyone's shock, but then she finds herself widowed during their road trip honeymoon.
Bev is raising her sons on a vineyard and trying to make sure they become good men, despite her feeling like her heart just isn't into motherhood as much as it is into making the incredible wines they are known for.
Both women have a lot going on and must make choices that will affect their futures.
This book taught me a LOT about wine and was really interesting as well as being captivating to read. That twist at 81% will make up gasp. I promise.
Till Death Do Us Party will be available at your local library or bookstore on August 13 2024
A story full of love, death and family secrets.. I loved all the information on wine and the Napa.Valley setting. A quick read with many twists . Really enjoyed it.
Till Death Do Us Part by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you hooked from the get-go. The story dives into the murky waters of marriage and the hidden secrets that can make or break a relationship. Flynn does a great job ramping up the tension, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. The characters are well developed and relatable, and the plot is tightly woven, making it hard to put the book down.
Recommended for anyone who enjoys slow burning thrillers or a good mystery.

Advanced Book Review! Thank you @simonschusterca and @netgalley for sending me this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
When I first received this book I thought it had One True Loves X The Last Thing He Told Me vibes and I was right. Add in Eight Hundred Grapes because of the vineyard setting. It wasn’t a carbon copy but if you liked those books, I really think you would like this one too.
Ten years ago, June’s husband, Josh, drowned on their honeymoon. June has spent ten years looking for answers about his supposed death. Now she’s happy in her new relationship but her past is coming back to haunt her. She’s drawn to California’s Napa wine country to finally find out what happened to Josh.
The story is told in dual timelines – present day with Jane, and the past when Josh was a teenager through the eyes of his mother Bev. I thought that was an interesting choice to go back that far and tell it through Josh’s mother instead of Josh, but the author is really setting the stage for what happens later.
I couldn’t put this one down. I will say I preferred the present timeline because I just really wanted to know what happened with Josh, but I also wanted to know all the secrets of the past. The author drops some pieces along the way of various secrets and I tried to figure things out, and while I had inklings, there was a lot I definitely did not guess and did surprise me.
I also love books set on a vineyard, even though I’m not a huge wine drinker. So that element really added to the overall reading experience as well.

BOOK REVIEW: 🖤🖤🖤🖤/5
Ten years ago, June marries Josh after a whirlwind romance and a quick rush to the alter. She is confident that Josh is her soul mate regardless of warnings from her friends and family. However, a week after they say “I Do”, Josh drowns while on their honeymoon.
Now in present times, June has found a new man and they are in the midst of planning their wedding. That is until June sees a photo of Josh on a winery website in Napa Valley and everything comes crashing down around her. June is no longer 100% confident that her first husband is actually dead. She takes a secret trip out to Napa Valley to find out the truth … but it becomes obvious that no one wants her to get answers 🤫!
I loved this book! And the author is from London, Ontario 🇨🇦 which is where I have lived almost my entire life! The Napa Valley setting was to die for, especially being such a wine-o myself! There were so many shocking twists and turns, multiple layers, sketchy unreliable characters and the ending was a true WTF moment!
Thank you kindly to @laurieelizabethflynn @simonandschuster @netgalley for my advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review! This book releases on August 13, 2024!
Laurie Elizabeth Flynn has written a gripping mystery/thriller with plenty of twists and turns. I really enjoyed the "unknowing" - was June really seeing Josh? Did he really die? Who was responsible for the "accidents"? I also REALLY enjoyed the ending - I love a surprise villain. This was a fantastic summer read and I will definitely be checking out Flynn's backlist.
A suspense book set in the wine industry. The book is about a set of twins and their broken relationship. From the point of view of their mother and a wife. Many twists and the ending is surprisingly differwnt than I was expecting! Four stars!
I really liked the description of this book and wanted to like it more than I ultimately did. That said - it was a fast paced, gripping read told from two different but essential POVs to the story. While I was invested in the story enough to stick it out to the end - I found the conclusion somewhat unbelievable - and not solely because I didn't see it coming - honest! If you are looking for a book that will grab your attention, and hold it for the most part (and appreciate the sex scenes!) give this book a try! It's an engaging read even though you might feel a wee bit dissatisfied with the ending. Entertaining for sure!
This book had me in a chokehold the entire time. I loved every aspect of it, and getting to read so many different perspectives was so refreshing to see. I was mind boggled by the end, and it just proved how good of a read it was because I won’t be forgetting it any time soon!
Thank you Simon and Schuster Canada and NetGalley for my ARC. June lost her first husband Josh a week after they got married. Now years later she swears she saw him alive. June sets out to discover what really happened to her husband and discovers she might not have know him as well as she thought. Told by June and Josh's mother Bev. This vooks has crazy reveals throughout and the ending, didn't see it coming. I highly recommend reading this.
“Till death do us part” follows the lives of two women and how their paths intertwine.
One POV is Junes. June was married to Josh but sadly he passed away. 10 years later she is now engaged to somebody else but her past relationship is still very present in her life.
The other POV is Bev, Josh’s mum. This pov is in an alternate timeline when Josh was a young teen.
Both timeline give us insight into their lives and events leading up to present day whilst trying to solve the mystery surrounding his death.
I went in blind expecting this to be a thriller but I found it more to be a domestic suspense with lots of twists and mystery. I found the characters to be full of depth with lots of internal monologue provided for the reader to understand the motivations behind their actions and decision..
Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn and Netgalley for the EARC!

A solid four star read until the last quarter, (which I found to be repetitive with a pace that dragged on) and then a nosedive of an ending, which was I really really disliked and found very disappointing, both in terms of Bev's storyline and the reveal around Josh's death.
The main character, Bev, was also so unlikable, vacuous, and such a terrible mother that I found her entire POV difficult to read.
June, on the other hand, had an engaging story to tell and was a well constructed character.
I will not post my review to social media as I cannot recommend this one.
I truly thought I would love this one, but I did not like it at all. It was not engaging or intriguing, it did not keep my interest. The characters were very bland and that epilogue just did not do it.
