Being with Flossie has moved back to Cornwall to begin her life after her cancer battle and the breakup. This story was full of such likeable characters and the location was excellent! This is a very good book to read when you need a book that fills your heart.
Thank you NetGalley, Jane Linfoot and One More Chapter for the copy of The Cornish Beach Hut Café. This is my personal review.
What an absolutely delightful, cozy book! The characters are so likable, I want to be a “mermaid”, and, of course, I want to move to St. Aidan! I like the story, and thankfully there are no frustrating “misunderstandings” as part of the plot.
This book is a perfect summer read, and I am sad that my time with my new friends is over. However, I have discovered the author has a whole bunch of other books that I will be hunting down, and I will be watching for more from her!
perfect summery vibes I absolutely loved it!
Floss scarred by her cancer battle and breakup of her relationship returns home to Cornwall to be close to her family and friends.
Living in a newly purchased idyllic beach hut on the beach, Floss embraces life in st Aidans throwing herself into her work and the local community along with her dog.
Along the way we are taken on an idyllic journey of hope, second chances, tantalising cakes and desserts, stargazing, love, friendship and hope! A perfect wholesome read for the summer! Would highly recommend!
Thank you NetGalley for this early read
A very enjoyable read. Set in Cornwall, with likeable characters and a heartwarming story. Recommended.
Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. This was a really nice and easy read, great location, great characters and a really good storyline. I enjoyed it.
This is a lovely warm hearted book. I really loved the Cornish setting, which makes it a perfect holiday read. The main characters are a likeable group of people. I will now look out for previous books in the series.
This was a really great read. Florence was a great character and it was lovely following her journey in St Aiden. The people of her home town were really great friends and so helpful to her during her change from her life in London to her home time. A real page turner full of love and friendship.
I loved the cover of this book and really wanted to like it. But I kept skimming parts of it as it was just to slow. Love the beach setting enjoyed the characters. Thank you netgalley for the advance copy
This is another great book in the series by Jane Linfoot. Although it is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
They are classic romantic chick lit and always involve someone falling in love. As it is set by the sea, the author evokes many memories of happy English seaside holidays and you can feel you are transported to the town where the book is set.
This was a lovely, funny read, perfect for a summers day. I laughed out loud at times and was really sorry to finish it. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
This book was like a warm cup of cocoa on a rainy day – predictable, comforting, and guaranteed to give you the fuzzies. The plot twists were about as surprising as a Hallmark movie villain, but hey, sometimes you just want to watch the good guys win (and smooch a lot).
Flossie finds you can go home again and that it takes a village. She's come back to St Aiden after cancer and a breakup, she's got a beach hut, and now a small business that's being threatened by someone who wants to buy her spot. No surprise to fans of this genre her neighbors help her out, she finds love, and things look pretty darn good by the end. I like this type of novel for a relaxing read. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. And it's set in Cornwall!
Flossie moves to Cornwall to heal from cancer and a breakup with her boyfriend. I loved the story and the setting.
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Florence has had many changes in her life. Her most recent decision to move was her best one yet. She loves the town and is making sone friends. I liked getting to know the different characters in this book.
Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end.
Flossie, to get better both physically and mentally from having cancer and also the breakup of her relationship moves to Cornwall from London.
She makes her home in a little beach hut, which she decides to open as a cafe for the local community as well as her friends.
Throughout the story we read about how it’s never too late to start again and how friendships help at your time of need.
The characters were likeable and the setting was beautiful, making you wish you was there tasting the delicious food.
I highly recommend this book.
I was genuinely gutted when this book ended, I simply loved every page. In this book we follow Floss who has recently moved back to St Aidan and honestly the sweets/puddings/desserts she makes sound delicious and even though some parts of this book was a little unrealistic it was such a fab read and I loved it!
I honestly want another book to be released which follows the same people and same location maybe just another one of the Mermaids?
Overall, fab fab fab! Loved it
Such a sweet and wonderful story. It was a quick read but so enjoyable. It helps you to remember that what life throws at you one can win at the end. What a great weekend or beach read.
I really enjoyed this book from the cover to the contents. It is the first book I have ready by Jane Linfoot but it definitely won't be the last.
This is a lovely summer read. Flossie moves back home to Cornwall from London, to recover her body and mind after a cancer battle and then subsequent break up. Setting up camp in a little beach hut she opens up a little cafe for friends and locals. This is a story about second changes and friendship. It is filled with lovely characters and makes me want to visit the little beach hut for a slice of something scrumptious.
A delightful read :)
Thank you to NetGalley and One More Chapter for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review,
I wanted to love this book. It is a slow read. I struggled to get into it. I found myself skimming frequently. Thank you for the opportunity to read for an honest review.
I love a story when all the characters are my ‘cup of tea’. So enjoyable and wonderful descriptions of Flossie’s Cornish home that I want to move there. Whatever life throws at you these friends have your back always. Go ahead and grab yourself a cosy book of friendship and love.
