Bea is an author of a sort of Percy Jackson like book who uses a pseudonym to keep her identity hidden. Gib is the CEO of a company that represents authors among other businessy things that they do. They are opposites, Bea is shy and Gib is outgoing. Bea has indoor cat energy while Gib is an outdoor Golden Retriever. When Bea is planning her godmother's retirement party in Greece and Gib is staying at the same cottage that she is supposed to be staying at they have to share one bed.

This book is incredibly entertaining. While it is not literature by any means, it kept me fully engaged until I finished the whole thing in one sitting. My favorite part was the godmother, she was absolutely bananas, I loved her. I deducted a star and a quarter because the conflict was absolutely minimal and it didn't feel like there were any stakes at any point. He also kept negging her in his head which I didn't like and I will never give a "she falls first" book five stars. Overall though I thought it was a fun quick read that I would definitely recommend.

This is definitely a what you see is what you get type book. It was enjoyable, I loved the banter and the little haters to lovers thing, without having too much drama.

Unbelievable but a good yarn. I did like the characters and it was a silly nonsensical read. Golly reminded me of a badly dressed embarrassment of a banana. Bea was flighty and needed a bit of a shake. Gin reminded me of a heroic sweeping Greg Davies character which I liked a lot.
Good fun read which I did in a morning with a cuppa and a blanket on my feet. It transported me to sunnier times.

While this book was sort of predictable, it was also a fun and lighthearted romance perfect for anyone who loves the one bed trope.

Bea’s snark and Gibson’s charm made for some delicious banter, and the chemistry between them crackles like the Santorini sunsets. You can feel the heat in every glance and every argument. If you’re into sun-soaked romance with plenty of tension and heart, this one is an absolute treat!

One Bed by Joss Wood is a funny and cute book. Bea is helping to plan and host her godmother Golly's 70th birthday and retirement party in Greece. Golly is a handfull on her own and Bea must make sure that she is to stick to the plan. Upon her arriving to Golly's house Bea finds out that Golly has rented out her guest house and that Bea will have to share it with Gib. The only problem is that it only has one bed and a very uncomfortable couch. Bea and Gib have no choice but to share the bed for two weeks. Bea and Gib are slowly finding that they have true feelings for each other however, they each have their own bagage that will get in the way if they let it. I would like to thank both NetGalley and One More Chapter for letting me read an advanced copy of this book.

This is a new author to me. I don't often read contemporary stories but I enjoyed this one. Bea is helping her Godmother arrange a retirement/birthday party on Santorini. Obviously someone with lots of money and friends. The Godmother, Golly is a bit self obsessed and self centered but has helped Bea in the past. Bea's parents weren't very useful and she used to stay with Golly in the summer. One year another child, a young boy of 10 was staying. Bea, aged 5 thought he was very untidy but he was very sporty and gangly and this figure becomes the hero of Bea's teenage stories. She's very successful, guided by Golly but keeps her author persona anonymous. Gibson, the Pip muse, hires a cottage off Golly at the same time as the party and Golly orchestrates that Bea & Gibson have only the one bed. Works well as a romance and as a treatise of getting your own stuff together before impacting someone wlse in relationship. The Gibson character is obviously channelling Chris Helmsworth.

Love Bea and Gibson. Fun couple. Great fun. Really enjoy it. Great pacing and terrific ending.

This book was so cute! I enjoyed the characters, the setting, and the story line! It did get a bit predictable at times, but still held my attention for the entire story! This was a really nice read. I would recommend this book to someone who loves Mama Mia and the one bed trope, for obvious reasons. The romance was adorable and the characters were all a lot of fun to read about. I gave it 4/5 stars because I felt that the romance moved a little too fast at the beginning. Don't get me wrong, I loved getting straight to the heat but it moved so quickly that it pulled me out of the book a little while reading. I appreciated that there wasn't much beating-around-the-bush when it came to Bea realizing that their relationship wasn't going to work if Gib couldn't open his heart and his eyes to how dumb he was being.

This books starts with a typical “enemies sharing one bed” trope. It was fine and entertaining enough, but about half-way through, my feelings toward the story shifted.
The female main character began to grow and develop. She became more compelling as she began to reveal more of herself to the MMC. I love great character development in a story, and this one has it in spades! A person standing up for themself, asking for the things they need in a relationship is very refreshing to read! We don’t get to see that same development in the male main character, but the epilogue addresses that quite satisfactorily! I loved that little peek into their future!
The side characters in this book are so funny and well-developed! I have a definite image of who these people are, abd they added so much color to the story.
Overall, I really did like this book, and I would recommend it!

Great read! The trope of the main character being a struggling writer can be a bit unoriginal, but Wood did a great job putting her own twist to it. I really liked how detailed Bea’s emotions were and where they came from. I did have a hard time understanding why Gib was so closed off. I understand that he had issues with his mom but it felt like he was too closed off. Also, I so wish Bea would have told Gib that Pip was based off of him! I think there could have been another layer to the story if that was added. Overall it was a very enjoyable read!

This was a fun book full of sunshine and spice. I really liked all of the characters (not just the lead protagonists) they had a lot more depth than I was expecting and the relationships all felt real. The story is fun and well developed, it follows the formula we all know and love but avoids feeling like you're just waiting for the actual three break up etc, you're on the journey with them and the pacing feels right and natural to the story. A really good romantic romp!

I enjoyed this novel. It was easy to follow, had good pacing and a great cast of characters. Other romance readers will love it. I highly recommend it.
