Bea and Gibson meet in Greece, both promised the same cottage to stay in, with only one bed. Will a meddling matchmaker bring them together? I liked how it was told from both points of view.

I loved reading about Bea and Gibson and their forced proximity/ one bed situation. I enjoyed reading their banter and their wit and watching their love unfold. An enjoyable read that I would recommend.

This was fun for what it was, unfortunately I didn't very much connect with either character nor did I feel drawn to them much so I wasn't completely invested in this one.

the story started long time ago and now Bea and Gibson had to share a tiny house with just one bed :)
Always interesting how parts find together.

Cory romance with a little humor.

Have fun reading!

A hot romance that takes place on a scenic island Greek island! Bea has arrived on the island of Santorini to help her godmother, Golly, celebrate her 70th birthday. Bea is an author who also plans to spend a good chunk of time writing her next book. All of her carefully laid plans are sabotaged when she meets Gib, who just happens to be staying in Bea's cottage, thanks to Golly, and there is only one bed. There is the appropriate amount of not getting along and complaining and trying to sleep elsewhere but then dang it if they both aren't absolutely perfect for each other and sparks fly! Yes, it is all eye-rollingly predictable, but I really enjoyed it. The Greek retreat, the good food, the good company, lots of good sex! And while they were each unrealistically perfect for each other, I did find both Bea and Gib to be realistically flawed. Especially Bea, as her insecurities really resonated with me. Turns out Gib's mother was a psychologist and bless his heart if he didn't know how to call Bea out on her insecurities and really ground her. I tell you, if this isn't the absolute perfect fantasy of a man.... oh wait, Gib is flawed too! I really like this, because while the premise is absolutely unrealistic, the characters are people you could already know in your daily life and I really appreciate that. Sign me up for their next trip to Greece, please! Bea and Gib's hot story was a nice escape from my own current cold, winter reality.

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for the DRC in exchange for my honest review.

Funny heartwarming rom-com full of self-doubt, longing, and Godmother without filter and out of this world.
What can I say, I truly loved this book, not only the main characters. Everything worked so well and I laughed quite a lot.
This book had everything a good book needs and when you add the Greek sun and Santorini to the mix, it's quite brilliant.

This book is the definition of a cozy, low-stakes rom-com.

Bea, the introverted author of a Percy-Jackson-esque series, ends up sharing a Santorini cottage (and one bed, duh) with Gib, her outgoing, CEO-golden-retriever energy childhood friend. Add in a chaotic godmother, Golly—an absolute scene-stealer—and you’ve got a fun, escapist read.

The setting? Stunning. The godmother? Unhinged perfection. The chemistry? Super cute

Still, this was such a breezy, adorable read—perfect for fans of the “one bed” trope.

What an awkward meet cute! 🤦‍♀️😆 It was hilariously uncomfortable and definitely set the tone for their dynamic. I couldn’t stop laughing at how awkward and real it felt.

I also loved the idea that the character from Bea’s book, who’s almost like a friend to her, was subconsciously based on Gib as a kid. It’s such a sweet and subtle detail that added a unique layer to the story. Honestly, I wanted more of that connection—it felt like there was so much untapped potential there!

On a personal note, the drinking song they sing at one point was a total blast to read. It’s a song my husband and his rugby team sing, so seeing it pop up in the book gave me a good laugh 🤣.

The communication between the characters was another highlight for me. They did such a great job of being open about their needs and expectations for the relationship, and this continued throughout the story. It was refreshing to see them actually talk things through, especially in a romance where miscommunication is often the driving force of conflict.

One of my favourite moments was when Gib gave Bea a pep talk, and we saw her come back from spiralling about failure. It was empowering and showed real growth, both for Bea and for their relationship. It was a nice, uplifting moment.

The epilogue was so sweet and heartwarming, though I did feel like it ended a bit abruptly. Even so, it was incredibly satisfying to see them build a happy and healthy life together. 💖

I’ll admit, the majority of both characters’ backstories were crammed into the first two chapters, and while it was written well, it did feel a little overwhelming. It was a lot of information to process so early on, and it made the pacing feel slightly off at the beginning.

Also, can we talk about how these characters act like sleeping on a floor is an impossible task? 🤦‍♀️😆 It seemed a bit over the top, especially considering how many people do it without hesitation. It was one of those little quirks that made me roll my eyes a bit, but it didn’t take away too much from the story overall.

Gib was a tricky character for me. I really liked him and understood his struggles, but there were moments when he was frustratingly difficult to read. Bea, on the other hand, was incredibly patient with him—way more than I would have been. The process of watching them work through their issues was a bit painful at times, but I ended up really appreciating how Gib handled everything in the end. His growth was well worth the struggle.

I really enjoyed this book overall, and the quirky cast of characters added so much charm to the story. With plenty of vacation vibes, it’s the perfect read if you’re looking for a break from winter and need something light and fun to escape into.

This book has a lot of offer readers, the writing is fantastic, however it did fall flat for me. I found it difficult to stay interested.

It took me a while to get into this book. I kept hoping it would pick up, but it never really took off for me. The Only One Bed trope drew me in because I do find this enjoyable when it's done well. This book wasn't bad by any means, I just felt bored for much of it. I think this is probably a great book for the right audience but it wasn't the book for me.

Thanks netgalley for allowing me a copy of this book for my review. I'm going to be ho and say I think this book may be suited to a younger reader 20-30s perhaps. Im not criticising the writing style or theme, but it just wasn't for me.

This was a lighthearted story but i will admit i struggled to like Gib as a character and therefore didn't really get into the story. Well written just not for me

Didn't like the writing style, too much telling, too little showing. Didn't like the characters either and their insta-lust/love romance didn't work for me.
Not sure why this book is labeled 'erotica', it's pretty tame compared to some other open door contemporary romances I've read.

I absolutely loved this book. It was just perfection! The characters I fell in love with. The story itself is addictive. This book is so so easy to read and extremely enjoyable.

I struggled with this one... Golly was the stand out character, otherwise I found this one hard to get into and enjoy. The chemistry isn't great between the characters and I didn't ship them. It's a 3 star read for me, not my favourite, quite predictable and I didn't really care much about what happened.

What an adorable read! I loved Golly's character almost as much as I loved Bea's. I was so frustrated with Gib though, but thankfully he had character growth in the end and I think that redeemed him!

This was such a fun vacation read and I think the overall plot was interesting and I loved the trope-based title! That's what pulled me in originally and I'm so glad I stayed.

Hopefully Golly got her couch back (with the original fabric!).

I would recommend this to anyone looking to escape to Greece or for a great beach read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
