Oh my! This book was a slow burn for a while but then when it got exciting, there was no holding back! Handsome Ethan Watts works for Nicci's father's contracting business. Nicci's mother used to work in the office and after she passed away, Nicci started working there. An incident happened just before the wedding that begins all the exciting events. I really enjoyed this book and found it unputdownable and a real page turner.

I did enjoy this book which had a couple of twists and turns along the way.
Just before Nicci and Ethan get married, they are involved in a hit-and-run as Nicci had been drinking and chose to get behind the wheel of their car. She is consumed by her guilty conscience but Ethan persuades her not to go to the police because of what it will do to them, her father and her father’s business where they both work.
Nicci becomes convinced the unidentified victim is her friend, Joel, who she has developed feelings for and Ethan agrees with her.
She discovers her best friend Stacey, is blackmailing Ethan over something she has seen and Nicci is convinced it’s the accident. A twisty tale develops with events I often didn’t see coming.
I thought this was a good story but I thought that Nicci was a bit weak and some of her decisions were not how a normal person would react. It did become a little far-fetched but all in all an enjoyable read.

Wow- I liked this one! Lots of new twists in this story. It started a little slow but the intrigue just kept building. The short, fast paced chapters make this a quick read. I flew through it.

Oh my sunny stars what a blinking book!! This is by far my favourite book by Rona and probably one of my fav this year in this genre!

You know from the start something isn't right with one of the characters and I am relieved I was right but then it just sets you on edge! You know they are unhinged and you have no idea what they are going to do when or what!

So many twisty roads in this, all leading to an end game which I think may have even shocked one of the MCs!

I am trying to formulate something coherent and spoiler-free but I am struggling. I knew this would be a doozy but I didn’t realise how much I couldn’t get this book go. How much I had to sit and finish it in one go if I could. Sod the knee and the cold, I was reading this!

The thing is, bear with me, but you could imagine this book actually happening! I mean when you’ve watched enough true crime to see how many loopy people are out there already, this book is up there.

Rona, you are scaring me a bit though 😂. It was dark, and twisty but so much fun! It was intense, addictive and a wild ride. Just pure adrenaline pumping!

Don’t get me wrong Nicci could be a bit soft at times, but I guess with all the gaslighting and controlling she’s had to endure you can see why. But man I wanted to shake her to open her eyes! And I am so glad she did!!! Although the walk in the fog petrified me but made me cheer at the same time!

It took me a while to get into Bride and Groom, but once it took off, I was hooked! The characters were believable and the situation was riveting. I would definitely read more by this author.

A brilliant book from one of my favourite authors, a great twisty fast-paced thriller read which kept me on my toes from the very first page.

The characters were all well described and interesting and I didn't know who to believe

I've literally just finished this and my heart is still pounding. I didn't know who to trust or believe. Rona is an amazing writer and so skilled at writing dark, twisty plots with red herrings galore. She never disappoints.

I always love this author ms book so when I seen this I knew I was going to be in for a great read and wow I was not disappointed. I loved the writing style which I think kept me glued to my kindle could not put it down. The characters were well developed and the story just flowed throughout. There was many twists and turns which I did not guess. Overall fantastic thriller which i will be highly recommending. One of my favourites I have read this year so far. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy.

Top-drawer escapism!
The book was well written in that it stirred up all sorts of emotions while I was reading it and made me want to keep turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Dark and compelling, a slow-motion collapse; I read it in 24 hours with my heart in my mouth. So good!

It started out ok. Not a big fan of the writing style.
3rd pov alternating between the 2 MCs.

It’s pretty clear from the start both are unreliable narrators. Both were keeping secrets.

It has family and friendship issues, couple dramas and plot twists.

What i liked
- i liked the mystery at first. It did make me keep reading,
- The plot was good
- There was one small plot twist i didnt see coming

What i didnt like
- the writing style was not for me,
- I didn’t like the characters
- this book was frustrating at times, after a while it was hard to finish.
- I pretty much guessed everything except that one small plot twist,

Over all it was okay.

Her wedding day should be the happiest day of a bride's life, but Nicci keeps replaying an accident from a few days ago, and entertaining ongoing doubts about whether Ethan is really her best match. Will she find the answers that can keep her out of jail -- and out of the morgue?

The two main characters were not always likeable and the woman's complete turnaround in personality seemed unlikely. That said, this was still an enjoyable read, though the plot unfolded in somewhat predictable ways.

Bride and Groom was a great read! I really enjoyed the twists and turns and was rooting for Nicci to have the best possible outcome since she had been through so much. Nicci was newly married to Ethan, and it didn't seem to be the fairytale romance she deserved. Ethan has secrets, and so does Nicci as we get to learn more about her.
But someone is lying in their relationship, someone is false and it may lead to deadly consequences! Grab Bride and Groom and enjoy.

Bride and Groom was a domestic drama with a bit of thrill. Lots of betrayal, drama, very unlikable characters, but it did have some very good twists and turns.

Nicci and Ethan are getting married. While out celebrating a few nights before their wedding, they couldn't get a cab so Nicci drove the short distance home. Howevver, she hit a pedestrian. This starts the loop of how Nicci and Ethan and going to keep this secret.

I expected something much different from this book. Not sure what, but not what the book was. I honestly was happy to get to the end and find out the conclusion. There were a few amazing twists and red herrings thrown in, but all in all, the characters were so unlikable, I really didn't care what they did.

This is a great read from Rona Halsall, an author whose books I've come to love. It's an ideal thriller with heaps of tension, building to a great ending

This book was very chaotic (in a good way). A bride and groom commit a crime together and make a promise during their vows to keep each others secret. Except for it’s the type of secret to eat away at you at night. Books starts off a little slow but still interesting. Once its picks up you are thrown through several hoops. Some plots I guessed, others left me yelling at the book “oh no you did not!” Just when you think the book is wrapping up you’ll find out more details and another twist

Another great thriller from Frieda McFadden. So many twists and turns that made this book so hard to put down. I never guessed the ending.

Family issues, couple drama and friendship betrayals. When you think you understood it all, there is still more to come. The wists and turns are crazy and will leave you guessing until the end.

To be honest, Nicci annoyed me in some parts but I liked seeing her character grow and change and I had a soft spot for her dad. Nicci and Ethan had so many secrets for a couple that seemed like they were perfectly normal.

It might not be fast paced but this thriller is full of secrets, lies and suspense that get you hooked from the start and makes it impossible for you to stop reading because all you want is figure out the plot.

This author is one of my absolute favourites and I knew that once I picked up their new book everything else would need to be put on hold. As always this was a fabulous read and I was gripped from the first page and couldn’t put it down. It was very dark and deep in places and really makes you think. Lots of twists and turns and jaw dropping moments.
