I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! The narrators were phenomenal! This story was amazing! I was irritated with June so much, but I also understood why she was the way she was. Tucker was a saint. I do feel like I should mention there was a few times the narrator said Jane instead of June but it wasn’t super noticeable. Perfect for anyone who loves small town romance stories or rekindled love stories ❤️

This was such a fantastic representation of second chance romance done right. I loved how much June needed to learn and grow. I love that she grappled with her feelings and actions and worked to make things right. Tucker is a sweetheart!!

The narration is well done and I would definitely listen to these narrators again.

Thanks to the author and Dreamscape Media for my alc. All opinions here are my own.

I received an ARC of the audiobook from Netgally and the publisher.

This was a cute small town second chance romance. There was a duel perspective for the male & female main characters and had both a male & female narrator.

This is book 2 of the Arcadia Creek series, however they can be read as interconnected standalones. I do recommend reading in order if you plan to read the whole series as there will be some spoilers if reading out of order.

Tucker & June are adorable small town high school sweethearts, she broke his heart, and subsequently the hearts of the entire small town of Arcadia Creek. She felt he should have fought for her. Now she's back in town after 5 years. is this Tucker & June's second chance to be together?

Falling in Line by Kasey Stockton
Narrated by Cara Swingline and Evan Sibley

Thank you to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the ALC.

This was such a sweet, second-chance romance set in a small town!
June & Tucker were together for years, until she up and left their small town for California, never to look back. Until, her dad was having surgery. She showed up unannounced and threw the whole town for a loop! The story follows June as she reacquaints herself with the town and its citizens, as well as getting back in touch with Tucker.

Having grown up in a small town, the antics of the citizens felt all too familiar to me! There was lots of gossiping and meddling, but not too much. It felt authentic.

This is a closed door romance.

I liked the narrators. They are both new to me, but I thought they did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Overall, I enjoyed this sweet, second-chance romance.

✨ ALC REVIEW ✨

This was such a sweet second chance romance set in a small town in Texas. I'm from Texas, so I loved all the accents in this audiobook- they made me feel right at home! This book was filled with so much heart. I loved the romance and the "we're made for each other" vibes so much, but it was all the friendships that were slowly repaired that really touched my heart.

This is part of a series but could definitely be read as a standalone!

Book Title: Falling in Line
Series: Arcadia Creek Book #2
Author: Kasey Stocklin
Format: 🎧
Narrators: Cara Swingline and Evan Sibley
Publisher: Dreamscape Media
Genre: Romance
Audiobook Pub Date: March 19, 2024

This is second in the series [book: Love on Deck’ was Book #1 however different characters so no problem reading as a standalone.
Tucker and June were high school sweetheart and talked about getting married. However, as time got closer to going to college, June decided that small town life isn't for her and picked a college in California which would be far away from Arcadia Creek. Tucker’s heart was broken
Now five years later June is back to help her dad after he has knee surgery.

When she runs into Tucker she realizes that old feelings are still there.

Tucker isn't sure about his feeling for June as he doesn’t want to get hurt again.

I am a big audiobook fan but I didn’t love the narrator’s performance of June. I thought she did a good job with the other female characters but June sounded far more mature than twenty-three year old Immature/selfish June. She came across like a 40 year old arrogant woman.
I am sure Cara Swingline is a good audiobook performer but I believe she was miss-casted in this role.

I want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media and Golden Owl Press for this early audiobook.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 19, 2024

This love story was underwhelming for me. I wanted to be absorbed in Junes world when she decides to finally return home to her father and ex, who she up and left over 5 years prior but … I just wasn’t. I found the story line frustrating and her ex all too forgiving. I expected more of a standoff banter where she had to fight to apologize for her actions but instead… we received a book where he had to fight for her AND almost immediately forgave her. What? After no contact?

Therefore I felt the plot underwhelming and too surface level to make deep connections to the characters. I did enjoy the audiobook dual narration because that is always chefs kiss.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was the second book in the series, Arcadia Creek. I did not read the first one but didn’t feel like that was necessary to understand what was going on. A second chance love in a small town is right up my alley. June returns to Arcadia Creek to help her dad after surgery. She runs into Tucker, her ex, and sparks begin to fly again. June is faced with old and new feelings. June and Tucker were adorable together. They really meshed well. I wish there was a bit more spice in this clean romance, but I still enjoyed it. The characters were lovable, and the story was easy to follow. I listened to the audiobook, and I liked the two different narrators portraying both MCs. If you are looking for a cute feel-good romance, this one is for you!

Tucker's heart was broken five years ago when his longtime girlfriend up and left town without an explanation. She stayed away for that time and he was able to heal. Except, she came back to take care of her father after his surgery and Tucker didn't know whether to trust her again no matter what promises she made.

June was ready for the frosty welcome she encountered in Arcadia Creek. Not many people were happy that she was around. There was also Tucker, who even changed his order from hot chocolate to black coffee just to prove that he had changed in the years she was gone 😂

I loved how honest Tucker was about his feelings for her. He also helped her to see how differently she could've handled things. June was also able to come to some conclusions on her own as she reacclimated herself to her hometown. There was a bit of a love triangle that frustrated me but I'm glad everything worked out 😅

I listened to the audio which was done well. Both narrators were awesome. Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my gosh. Did I just fall in love with June and Tucker without a single spicy chapter?! Um yes! This was the most wholesome second chance romance with a little grumpy sunshine, story I’ve ever read. The audio narration was fantastic and drew me in on chapter one. Both narrators brought so much life to this story.
This is a book about June and Tuckers love story but it also was about so much more. I loved Junes character development throughout the book. I’m rooting for June to be the boss b she is. I also loved the small Booktok shoutout!!
I’m so excited to read book one and can’t wait for book 3 to come out! This is everything I want from a clean wholesome romance book!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio copy of this book. It was phenomenal!

Falling is Line is an Arcadia Creek novel by Kasey Stockton. Five years ago college student June Baker seemingly snuck out of town over night leaving both her father, Billy, and longtime boyfriend Tucker Fletcher distraught.

Now June is returning home to care for her father after knee replacement surgery. While she didn’t expect to be welcomed back with open arms, she had made amends with her dad and expected he would accept her coming home to help. What she didn’t expect was to find he had already had the surgery that was scheduled for the following week and that her childhood home’s front door would be answered by Tucker. With a chilly greeting, Tucker soon leaves even though it isn’t clear what Billy’s thoughts are on June’s presence.

June didn’t leave because she didn’t want to be with either of these men, but because she was too afraid she would up and leave in the future just like her mother did. Also, June was drowning in college classes all week just to come home to care for her father who was sinking in depression on the weekends. June intuitively knew her dad wouldn’t recover as long as she was there and feared hurting Tucker in the future. Home now, however, will June be able heal so many wounds? And how can she reconnect with all the people she left behind?

This is a very good story about relationships, growing up, and finding one’s own true path. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

I already want another Arcadia Creek book to come out!

Falling in Line will be released March 19th and is such a cute small-town romance. When June comes back to town after 5 years no one would award her the “best person ever” award — which she doesn’t mind too much since she’s not planning on staying long term. However, she does care what Tucker thinks, and she knows she’ll have to work hard at getting him (and the rest of the town) to forgive her for her past mistakes.

Thank you @dreamscape_media and @netgalley for the early access! Now here’s to hoping the next Arcadia Creek book will be focusing on Tucker’s friend Dusty🤞🏼

Falling in Line by Kasey Stockton and narrated by Cara Swingline and Evan Sibley is a very sweet and heartwarming small town, second chance romance. It is the second book in the Arcadia Creek series, but can function as a standalone. I love that Tucker and June get a second chance at love and I love the two of them. I also think that this book is beautifully written to show and explain why June ended up leaving in the first place and how she has come to apologize to everyone in town when she realizes how much everyone was affected. The narration was perfect and I always love when we have separate narrators for books with dual POVs. Overall, this was a cute romance and definitely had me tearing up at some parts.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen and review this audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

Super cute second-chance romance! Loved the side characters and definitely set up for a second story with other characters.

This audiobook was made available to be by Dreamscape Media through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

This is a small town, second chance romance. It’s set in Texas but you could never guess that from the narration alone. The narrator has no Texan accent whatsoever which is weird considering these people are all born and raised in Texas so it kinda took me out of the story. (Otherwise overall narration was alright).
I’ll be honest, I hated June (the fmc). She’s so problematic and she’s too grown to be acting like that.
She left town, left her depressed father, left the man with whom planning a wedding, without saying anything only to waltz back in 5 years later and expect everyone to just forgive her. She said and I quote “He could be mad, but let me apologize for Pete’s sake. He didn’t have to accept it.” As if she didn’t shatter his heart and uproot his life🙄. And when she finally did apologize she literally said “Sorry, Tucker”. Sorry???? Sorry???? You were gone for 5 years and and you’re just gonna say “sorry”. Ou I was so mad for Tucker. Then I got mad AT Tucker bc he really just lived for June. I wish we got some sort of insight into who Tucker is without June. But his whole job is June it was annoying.
I understand why June had to leave and I have the same fears too but like COMMUNICATE???!! I’m only 19 years old yet I know if you’re scared about something you can’t just make decisions on your own that will greatly impact your relationship without talking about it. He truly loved her. Did she even think about how her leaving with no explanation would affect him. She said she’s apologizing bc seeing him angry hurts her. Let’s unpack that. She’s apologizing to assuage her own guilt. Not bc she regrets the pain he’s been through.
And how incredibly self centered does one have to be to up and leave then be mad at the people you left behind for “not fighting for you”. Girl?! And also Tucker claimed he DID call, she just didn’t respond.
This book would’ve made sense if she was like 16 but miss girl is grown yet so childish and ignorant. And the way she’d get so pressed over Maddie who really was nothing but nice is just not it.

Phew. Now that that’s out of the way, the writing was just alright. I loved the small town charm. I loved the character development. She was absolutely insufferable but she got to her senses in the end. Unfortunately, I was simply annoyed with her throughout bc personally I think if you’re with someone all your life and you’re planning a wedding with their mum you’d be able to talk about things, it’s actually very unrealistic. She never loved him, she only loved how he loved her.

Characters 2/10 (hated the mcs, the sides were alright)
Atmosphere/setting 2/10 (bc of the narrator I was nowhere near immersed)
Writing 5/10 (it was alright)
Plot 3/10
Intrigue 2/10
Enjoyment 2/10
Average 16/7 =2.3

This was a sweet, predictable small town second chance romance. This is the 2nd book in the series. I haven’t read the first book but it can be read alone.
📚
June left the small town like a thief in the night 5 years ago but is returning to take care of her dad after he had surgery. Some things are the same and some are not. June was pretty immature to up and leave people important in her life. Even her dad kept things from her.
📚
I don’t love second chance romance and when it’s so one-sided like June and Tucker it really takes a lot of growth and humility to make apologies and to gain trust again. Thankfully June was smart enough to see that.
📚
I want to read the other books in the series because I always enjoy Kasey’s writing. This had a small love triangle, fundraiser auction date which makes for great forced proximity.
📚
This book has been available in print and digital formats but the audio releases next week. The narrators did great, June’s narrator had a much deeper voice than I was expecting and it was off putting at first but then I remembered that even audiobooks should have diversity of all the different pitches and volume that real people have.
📚
Thank you Net Galley and Dreamscape Media for the audio arc. These are my own thoughts and opinions.

The story had a bit of a slow beginning but picked up the pace a bit in the middle. It was easy to see the love and connection between Tucker and June, even after all the years apart. I think I would have enjoyed reading this more than listening. The narrators were just okay for me, a bit too robotic and not enough emotion in the voices. It was a bit too unrealistic for me too that the town was holding such a grudge against June for leaving

Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media and Kasey Stockton for this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Such a cute story about love, forgiveness, and a little bit about putting yourself first (non-spoiler: it’s ok to bet on yourself!). It was a little slow to start but the middle picked up and the end was adorable.

Tucker and June were high school sweethearts, but broke up 5 years ago when June moved out of town. June is coming back for the first time, to help take care of her dad.

I loved Tucker and June, they were just so perfect for each other. They had amazing banter and so much tension! You could just feel the love they had for each other.

I loved the side characters and the small town vibes. I feel like it added so much to the story.

Break my heart once, shame on you. Break my heart twice? Nope. Not gonna let that happen.Tucker’s heart was broken, stomped on, chewed up and spit back out. But that was five years ago. He’s had time and space to come to terms with being left behind, to heal his heart.
It’s helped that June has stayed away from Arcadia Creek.
Except now . . . she’s back.

Such awesome characters & an amazing town to go with them! It really felt like I was involved in the story.
This was an enjoyable experience all around- even the audiobook!
