Thank you Dreamscape Media, Mayo Clinic Press for allowing me to read and review I'm a Paramedic on NetGalley.

Educational. A paramedic explains his job, who he treats, who he works with, etc. There are definitions and a glossary.

This does require an adult to read with a youngster. There is the potential for a lot of questions.

I would gift this to a teacher and/or nursery school and church.

I think this is a great book for children to learn more about what a Paramedic does.
The narrator did a great job and the writer gives a lot of information in an easy to understand wording.

This is a nice audiobook explaining what being a paramedic is like. The narrator is speaking from the paramedic's point of view, and he sounds nice and caring. The paramedic talks about how it can be hard and tiring, but he gives examples of how he saves people. He is a real hero! Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this.

This was a great audiobook to listen to. It has a lot of great information about paramedics within the healthcare setting. The narrator's voice was also great. The authors word choice is great for young learners.

I’m a Paramedic
Lauren Kukla
Most children do not know what a paramedic is or what he/she does every day. Author Lauren Kukla explains the tools the paramedic uses to help people. The police, fire department and paramedics work together to help people, keep them safe and healthy. This book is written from the point of view of a real paramedic.
This book suggests real life situations that a paramedic must deal with on a daily basis. The best part of this book is the interview with a real paramedic. There is a glossary of words a paramedic would use.
A paramedic, like a police officer, and a fire fighter is a hero.

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

"I'm a Paramedic" by Lauren Kukla is a great nonfiction children's book that teaches children about the job of a paramedic. It has short chapters on the tools, the team, the shift, and a day in the life. This last part gives examples of what kind of accidents they are called to: a bike accident, a baby with a fever, a child with a peanut allergy exposed to peanuts, a girl with an asthma attack at soccer practice, and chest pain.

Then there is an interview with a real life paramedic. The health hero's superpower is explained, which is Kindness. This is
followed by a glossary of trade specific words like stretcher and vital signs. I'm sure the pictures would be nice, but it does work as an audiobook.

Christophee Lee did a good job with the narration.

Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media and the Mayo Clinic Press for providing this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

The cover of this book was what inspired my interest. This book is a very educational childhood book. I would buy this book for the children in my home as it teaches what a paramedic as well as other health care heroes do and how they are important. I think this book could help conquer the fears that a lot of children have relating to healthcare workers.
