Thank you NetGalley and PamelaDorman books for my gifted copy. I really enjoyed this book.. It’s hard for me to write a review without giving out spoilers. I loved that there were a lot of twists and turns. It is also very fast paced. The story starts off with the murder of Diana, a high school student. I would highly recommend this book.

3.5 ⭐️ Very easy read, especially if you’re not familiar with thriller books. There’s a lot of character but it’s not overwhelming and it’s easy to differentiate them. Overall great book! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange of an honest review!

Nothing ever happens in sleepy Fairhill, Vermont. That is until the naked body of high school student Diana is found dead, surrounded by vultures. The town is shaken up, and the answer to what you have done is deadly. Opening up the story with one of our characters (Roy) finding the body was exciting, the author goes into great detail and paints a gruesome picture upon discovery. This sends the town into a frenzy wondering who could have done this to one of their own.
After we dive into multiple POVs, it's a tad challenging to follow along at first - although the cast of characters is large, they all play some role in the story. It was interesting to see a few "suspects" who could have hurt Diana - including the typical boyfriend trope (Cameron). Although the killer is a little unexpected to some, it was someone I had suspected from the beginning. I've been reading a lot more thrillers lately so I've come to expect the unexpected.
Our chapters are broken up with a POV of a deceased Diana, they mainly explain how confused she is and has been having a hard time coping with her death. Personally, I don't think they added much from the story - we do get her POV towards the end of how she was murdered, but I think we could have gotten her death scene formatted in another way. The ending fell a little flat for me - I didn't get the dreaful feeling of having one of our primary characters being placed in danger. The reveal happens, and immediately the cops arrive! This book was a good binge read, and for someone who may want to dip their toes into a multiple POV thriller.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Penguin Random House Canada | Doubleday Canada, and Shari Lapena for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This book publishes on July 30th, pre-order yours today!

I was able to read this ARC thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada.
Shari Lapena has done it again. I read this book in less than 24hrs. It was safe to say I was hooked from the start.
A small town in Vermont is rocked when the body of a teenage girl is found. Nothing bad ever happens in Fairhill, everyone knows everyone, doors are hardly ever locked and parents dont fear for their children’s safety. That is until this case.
Someone in Fairhill murdered this poor girl. Everyone becomes a suspect. Was it her friends who loved her dearly? Her boyfriend who was becoming a bit too possessive of her? The parent of another child? A classmate? A teacher who may have paid too much attention to her? A man who made her uncomfortable at work? Or someone completely random?
The end will shock you.
The book bounces between the viewpoints of many people on the town who all had a connection one way or another to Diana. With so many suspects it’s hard to pinpoint who’s lying and who’s not. A great whodunit with many twists and turns! A read that I highly recommend!

The town of Fairhill, Vermont is shaken when the body of 17 year old Diana Brewer is found naked in a farm field. Everybody loved Diana. Who could have done this, and why?
The plot twists are numerous as Diana's life is investigated as search for the link to her killer invades her friendships, her interactions with her teachers, part-time employer and their customers. There are many potential killers. Emotionally intense at times while everyone struggles to come to terms with their loss. The way the story is told, from various POV (Points of View) was expressed with various fonts and shades in the e book format that I read. I am looking forward to re-reading this in print or maybe even listening to an audio version. Very intriguing!
Shari Lapena has done it again. I read this in one day it was so hard to put down!

Excellent page turner! My first by this author. Definitely not my last. Keeps you guessing and wanting to know until the very end.

Canadian Shari Lapena is the QUEEN of domestic suspense!! I loved her last book, Everyone here is lying but I think this latest was even better!! Told from multiple POVs this book revolves around the dead body of a high school girl and the various suspects in a small town who might have had motive to kill her.
Raising questions about the lengths parents will go to in order to protect a son they suspect might be a killer as well as how far a high school gym teacher will go to protect his reputation when allegations of sexual abuse arise. This was twisty, dark and utterly unputdownable!! It was also great on audio with a full cast of top notch narrators.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy and @prhaudio for a complimentary ALC in exchange for my honest review! Perfect for fans of books like Alice Sebold's The lovely bones!!

Another fantastic and at the edge of your seat can’t put it down thriller from Shari Lapena. This not only captivated me but also had me surprised multiple times throughout. I cannot wait for this release to be able to recommend it to all my Book friends.

What Have You Done? by Shari Lapena is a thrill a minute with many delectable twists and taut suspense. Though I soon figured out the culprit's identity, Lapena made sure I questioned myself the entire time. The level of uncertainty was practically anxiety inducing. Fantastic!
Told in multiple perspectives, the story maintained a great momentum.
A Vermont farmer knows the rhythms of nature. It is clear to him something is amiss when birds of prey circle above and he is right. Teen Diana Brewer's lifeless body is found in a hayfield. She was popular and friendly at school, academically gifted and athletic. But once Detectives Stone and Godfrey begin investigating the murder, they encounter festering secrets galore, even in unexpected nooks and crannies. Fear of discovery taunts and grief is rife. Small towns can be close knit, yet they can also be distant.
Ghosts and paranormal occurrences in books aren't my thing. Neither is teenage romance. But those are just personal preferences. The writing, weaving in plausible multiple suspects and Lapena's storytelling caused my heart to lurch in the best way.
My sincere thank you to Penguin Random House Canada and NetGalley for providing me with an early digital copy of this engrossing novel.

4.5/5⭐️
The book literally made my jaw drop!
This was my first read by Shari Lapena and I was SO impressed! I have been in a book slump lately and reading quite slow but this pulled me right out of that!
The whole way through the book I was trying to guess the murderer, and every time I thought I finally had it, I once again was wrong. The twists and turns this thriller had in it, AS WELL AS, the emotional ups and downs, kept me absolutely hooked and wanting to know more. The reason for only 4.5 ⭐️ and not a full 5 is due to the fact that I did have a few questions at the end of the book. I wasn’t necessarily mad about the questions I was left with though!
Great read all around, would 100% recommend!

This is Shari Lapena’s eighth thriller and like her other books it does not disappoint for anyone looking for an easy and entertaining beach read. The chapters are short and told from different POVs that keep you hooked on reading. Although the book is somewhat formulaic it kept me reading and guessing until the end. Although the ending wraps up quickly it is worth reading for the last page and last line which I will be pondering for a while.
3.5 stars

The book is written well if you like blunt writing and no nonsense, which I do! It is to the point and is not too fluffy.
The beginning didn’t grab me as I had hoped, but I did like the description of what was found under the circling vultures. I wish I could have had more main character development through the book.

💫ARC REVIEW💫
I really liked this book! I was hooked right from the beginning, wanting to know what happened to Diana, a murdered girl found naked in a field. This book takes you on multiple journeys through a few days of figuring out just what happened. This is absolutely a whodunnit with so many POVs (maybe a bit too many? It got a bit confusing sometimes, but that's maybe just me). One of the benefits to this book was, despite having read a lot of this genre, I didn't figure it out until the chapter before the big reveal! I think this will be another hit for Lapena, and I definitely suggest grabbing a copy once it releases on July 30, 2024!
Tropes:
- Teen Romance
- Multiple POV
- Small Town
- Paranormal Aspects
- Lots of Characters
Thank you to @netgalley , @penguinrandomhouse, @doubledayca , and @sharilapena for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

When high school student Diana Brewer is found murdered in a field, the town is full of suspects, and everyone's deepest secrets are at risk of being revealed.
I don't think I've been let down by this author. This book is true to Lapena's typical writing style: fast-paced, little character development, with nothing as it seems. All of the above are pros for me, as I appreciate a quick entertaining read. Though I did figure out the whodunit very early on, I'd attribute that to reading an excessive amount of thrillers rather than it being too obvious. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives and how everyone's stories intertwined. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a quick entertaining thriller with multiple suspects!

Thank you to Penguin and Double Day Canada for the ARC in exchange for an honest review 💚
This was such a fun bingeable read, exactly what I expect in a Shari Lapena book. The last line is chef's kiss.
I liked the social commentary it made as well.
The Only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that I had figured out the reveal very early on, but was gladly along for the ride, to make sure I was right!

I love Shari Lapina! Every one of her books keeps you at the edge of your seat; the moment you think you have things figured out, you realize you were wrong.
Diana is a teenage girl who is discovered to be murdered in the small town where she lives. Being a small town, there are so many connections and interconnections in the school and community she is a part of, all which come together and crumble apart as everyone tries to figure out who is responsible for her murder.
If you love mysteries and thrillers and haven’t yet discovered Shari Lapina, don’t wait, pick up this book and hang on tight!

Rounded up from 2.5
Nothing ever happens in a little Fairhill, Vermont, until one day, a teenage girl is found dead in a field. Everybody is shocked. What could've happened?
Throughout this thriller/mystery, we follow the investigation to find out what happened to Diana. Somebody clearly knows something they will not disclose. The first 10% was strong, but then it kept on spinning and spinning and spinning until the end. I feel like I have read some iteration or another of this story so many times before, so it was super predictable. The author sprikled many red herrings, so someone who is not well versed in the genre will probably not find it as predictable. There were a few too many characters, which made the story and the investigation hard to follow at times, but it was fun to have Diana's ghost's POV sprinkled through the story.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love Shari Lapena books, and find them to be the perfect binge-worthy summer read! This book was definitely a page-turner, where you see “normal” people’s hidden lives and secrets come out. That said, I found myself a bit confused with so many POVs, needing to re-check who I was reading about and how they fit into the story. I did guess the end fairly early on, but there were enough twists to make me second-guess the whole way through.
Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin Random House Canada, and Shari Lepena for the opportunity to read and review What Have You Done!

Absolutely gripping thriller from the start! It dives into the dark side of those picture-perfect, quiet neighborhoods where you’d never expect crime. I spotted the killer early on, despite the mix of suspects. Still, it was a blast to read. Huge thanks to NetGalley and Penguin Group Viking for the review copy. All thoughts are my own!

So for this being the first book I’ve read by this author I kinda feel let down a bit. I feel like it was rushed, there wasn’t much of a character build or much of anything really. It felt like the author rushed to put this book together. The twist at the end for me was not really a twist because I did see it a mile away. It felt like Cameron was dropped from the book 3/4 of the way through and same with the other creepy guy. Like what happened to these characters where did they go? Was Brad left to rot in jail? What happened to Joe? Did the principal and his wife make things work or did she run for the hills?
Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this advanced readers copy.
